Bezel assembly with close range communication abilities for use with an automated transaction device
The bezel assembly for data reception, for use with a bill validator in a financial transactional device, includes a bezel housing and a data reception assembly. The bezel housing includes a customer-facing front portion and a back plate connectable to the bill validator that is mounted within the transactional device cabinet. The front portion includes an insertion/dispensing slot for receiving currency and a projecting protrusion forward of the casing. The forward-extending protrusion accommodates at least a portion of the data reception assembly. The bezel assembly can include a wireless communication function that is communicably connectable with a mobile device via a wireless communication method, a manual entry function, a biometric reader, one or more cameras for scanning and decrypting 2D barcodes and the like, thus enhancing the overall functionality of the financial transactional device.
Currency arranging and stacking apparatus
A currency arranging and stacking apparatus with a hopper for receiving a plurality of paper currency bills and a bill stacker for receiving and stacking unfolded and paper currency bills in a common orientation. Between the hopper and bill stacker, the apparatus includes a currency unfolding apparatus, the currency unfolding apparatus having a vacuum belt under negative pressure for holding the paper currency bills and a wheel engaging the vacuum belt that rotates at a speed different from the vacuum belt, thereby unfolding folded paper currency bills. A currency creasing apparatus comprising a first creasing wheel and a second creasing wheel, creases the paper currency bills to prevent them from re-folding before uniform assembly in the bill stacker.

PAPER SHEET STORAGE APPARATUS AND PAPER SHEET HANDLING APPARATUS
A paper sheet storage apparatus (1) includes: a placement mount (10) on which bills (B) , i.e., an example of paper sheets, are placed; a leading-edge position restriction guide (20) that restricts the position of the leading edge portion of a bill (B) in an entering direction (D) in which the bill (B) advances when being transported onto the placement mount (10); and a sensor (30) that detects the presence/absence of an accumulation space (S) for bills (B) that is located above the placement mount (10). The sensor (30) detects the presence/absence of an accumulation space (S) by using detection light (L) emitted to a space between a first position (P1) that is located on an opposite side of the leading-edge position restriction guide (20) from the bills (B) on the placement mount (10) and a second position (P2) below the first position (P1) that is located on an opposite side of the bills (B) on the placement mount (10) from the leading-edge position restriction guide (20).

Paper sheet storage device and control method of paper sheet storage device
A paper sheet storage device includes a storage unit, a conveyance mechanism including a carry-in path and a carry-out path, a gate member switched between a storage state and a passing state, a lock mechanism including a lock member which restricts a movement of the gate member, and an unlock member that unlocks a locked state. The unlock member is disposed so as to project from a side of one of the carry-in path and the carry-out path to outside of the paper sheet storage device. The lock member is disposed so as to project from a side of the other of the carry-in path and the carry-out path to the outside of the paper sheet storage device. When the paper sheet storage device is connected to another paper sheet storage device, the lock member is moved by the unlock member of the another paper sheet storage device.

Currency handling system
An object of the present invention is to provide a currency handling system which makes it possible to decrease a risk of dealing with foreign currency at the time of the occurrence of a communication error in a case in which a currency reading device capable of accepting a variety of currencies including a foreign currency is used while the currency handling system is connected to a management server through a communication line. A currency handling system 100 is connected to a casino management system 2 through a network 3, and includes a currency reading device 201 which is capable of accepting a variety of currencies and a PTS terminal 700. The PTS terminal 700 causes a process which limits usage of a foreign currency but allows usage of a local currency in the currency reading device 201 to be performed in a case (offline state) in which an error occurs in communication with the casino management system 2.
