Systems and methods for cash-till optimization
The operation of one or more cash handling devices may be remotely modified by updating locally stored cash dispensing data at each of the one or more cash handling devices based at least in part on optimization data generated at a monitoring server. Operational data is received from the one or more cash handling devices and utilized to generate historical data within a historical database. Optimization parameters are received for each of one or more cash handling devices, and the optimization parameters are utilized together with the generated historical data to generate optimization data utilizing one or more optimization models. The optimization data is transmitted to applicable cash handling devices to cause the cash handling device to update locally stored executing instructions causing operation of the cash handling device to dispense cash into one or more register tills.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTION SYSTEM AND MEDIUM MANAGEMENT METHOD IN THE FINANCIAL TRANSACTION SYSTEM
A financial transaction system includes: an automated teller machine providing medium stack information; a bank server that calculates provisional replenishment number information; and a medium management unit that prepares a transit cassette containing mediums required in replenishment transaction, and inputs the provisional replenishment number information in a memory of the prepared transit cassette. When the mediums in the transit cassette are replenished, the bank server calculates actual replenishment number information based on current medium stack information received from the automated teller machine, and provides the calculated actual replenishment number information to the automated teller machine. The automated teller machine controls a conveyance path for the mediums so that the mediums are replenished from the transit cassette based on the actual replenishment number information and mediums as non-replenishment banknotes are recovered to the transit cassette, and provides non-replenishment banknote number information recovered in the transit cassette to the bank server.
AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An automated teller machine includes: a main body; a reception unit; a temporary holding unit; an identification unit; a recycle cassette; a reject cassette; a utility cassette; a conveyance path through which a medium is conveyed; and a control unit. The control unit controls the conveyance path such that when the medium is replenished through the transit cassette, the medium recognized as the normal banknote by the identification unit, among the mediums stored in the transit cassette, is temporarily stored in the temporary holding unit, and among the mediums temporarily stored in the temporary holding unit, the medium recognized as the normal banknote by the identification unit is transferred to the transit cassette.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet processing apparatus includes a first storage and a second storage that each stores a sheet; a transport that transports the sheet; a recognition circuit that performs a first recognition processing to recognize the sheet; an outlet that discharges the sheet in a case that the sheet is recognized as normal in the first recognition processing; a temporary storage that stores the sheet in a case that the sheet is recognized as abnormal in the first recognition processing; and processing circuitry that controls the transport and the recognition circuit such that storage control processing is performed, the storage control processing being processing in which the sheet stored in the temporary storage is transported to the first storage unit or to the second storage.
Method and device for storing information about objects fed to a self-service terminal
A method for saving information about objects to be verified that were consigned to a self-service terminal and that were deposited by the self-service terminal in cassettes, with the following steps: acceptance of objects; verification of the objects; if verification was not successful, determination of a clear identification of the non-verified object and saving the identification on a memory system that is physically connected to the cassette and is transported with said cassette.

Method of operating automated teller machine in multi-sheet withdrawals
A method of operating a device (10) for handling banknotes detects multi-sheet withdrawals using a multi-sheet withdrawal sensor (30). If a multi-sheet withdrawal has been detected, at least the banknotes of the multi-sheet withdrawal are supplied to an input and/or output tray (22). Next, the banknotes are further separated. The denomination and/or number of the banknotes of the multi-sheet withdrawal is determined. The determined number and/or denomination is taken into account in the framework of the inventory management of the cash cassettes (16).

Device for handling notes of value and method for operating a device for handling notes of value
The device comprises an input compartment for inputting notes of value, a pull-off and separating unit for separating the notes, a value note identification unit for identifying the separated notes. The device comprises a cash box for storing notes. A control unit determines whether a filling level of the cash box has reached or exceeded a predetermined value. The control unit determines a remaining capacity of the cash box. The control unit deducts the number of notes transported to the cash box from the remaining capacity after a predetermined fill level of the cash box has been reached.
