Cellular telephone including biometric control of transactions
Various switchable devices, e.g., cellular telephones, including inductive antennas are disclosed. These switchable devices may include one or more switches and a biometric sensor. Some of these one or more switches are optionally wireless and/or manual. In various embodiments, the switchable devices include are included within cellular phones, security devices, identity devices, financial devices, remote controls, and the like. The switchable devices are optionally configured to perform financial transactions.
Cards and devices with multifunction magnetic emulators and methods for using same
A payment card (e.g., credit and/or debit card) is provided with a magnetic emulator operable of communicating information to a magnetic stripe reader. Information used in validating a financial transaction is encrypted based on time such that a validating server requires receipt of the appropriate encrypted information for a period of time to validate a transaction for that period of time. Such dynamic information may be communicated using such an emulator such that a card may be swiped through a magnetic stripe readeryet communicate different information based on time. An emulator may receive information as well as communicate information to a variety of receivers (e.g., an RFID receiver).
User device enabling access to payment information in response to mechanical input detection
In certain embodiments, an electronic device can include a secure element that detects a mechanical input. The mechanical input can correspond to an instruction to transmit securely stored payment information to another device and/or to release such information to an application on the device (e.g., for use in an in-app commerce transaction). This feature can inhibit or prevent unauthorized transmission of payment information. When the mechanical input is detected, payment information can be transmitted to a point of sale (POS) terminal (e.g., via near-field communication) or released to an app on the device. Further, a user can either use default payment information or interact with the device (before or after providing the mechanical input) to select appropriate payment information for a transaction. For example, the user can select between credit cards, debit cards and/or stored-value cards (e.g., transit card).
CARDS AND DEVICES WITH MULTIFUNCTION MAGNETIC EMULATORS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
A payment card (e.g., credit and/or debit card) is provided with a magnetic emulator operable of communicating information to a magnetic stripe reader.

SOFT TOUCH RESIN AND TRANSACTION CARD COMPRISING THE SAME
Apparatuses and methods are provided for manufacturing a transaction card. The disclosed apparatuses and methods may be used to form a transaction card frame configured to house a data storage component. The card frame may be formed of a resin mixture comprising a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). The card frame may also have a Shore D hardness in the range of 20-80.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CAPTURING VISIBLE INFORMATION
A transaction card construction and computer-implemented methods for a transaction card are described. The transaction card has vector-formatted visible information applied by a laser machining system. Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling the sourcing of visible information using a scalable vector format. The systems and methods may receive a request to add visible information to a transaction card and capture an image of the visible information. The systems and methods may capture data representing the image. The systems and methods may also determine an ambient color saturation of the image. Further, systems and methods may translate the image based on the ambient color saturation of the image. The systems and methods may also map the translated image to a bounding box and convert the mapped image into vector format. In addition, the systems and methods may provide the converted image to a laser machining system.
Credit, security, debit cards and the like with buttons
A card is provided, such as a credit card or security card, that may transmit information to a magnetic stripe reader via a magnetic emulator. The emulator may transmit the information in order to reduce the amount of circuitry needed to emulate a particular block of information. Additionally, for example, one or more buttons may be included on the card. Buttons may be includes, for example, to provide a control interface to navigate through various options of the card. Additionally, coding schemes may be selected via buttons. Furthermore, a card may be locked until a private number is entered into a card or a number may only be generated (e.g., displayed and/or emulated) once a particular private number is entered into a card.
Electronic wearable device for displaying information
Programs, systems, and methods for displaying data communicated to the wearable device by short-range communication and displayable by a display on the wearable device. In some embodiments, the data may be indicative of identification, authentication, or promotion. A communication device may transmit the data to the wearable device via short-range wireless communication. The wearable device may receive the communication and display the information on the display of the wearable device.
MULTI-USE DIGITAL FINANCIAL CARD FOR NETWORKED TRANSACTIONS
A method of protecting transactions in a card processing system from fraud comprises issuing a payment card having a first PAN number, a second PAN number and at least one of a magnetic strip or a smart chip. The first PAN number is encoded in machine readable language on each of the at least one of the magnetic strip or the smart chip and not displayed in human readable form on the payment card. The second PAN number is displayed in human readable form on the payment card and is not encoded in machine readable language on either of the at least one of the magnetic strip or the smart chip. The first PAN number is valid in the card processing system only for card-must-be-present transactions and the second PAN number is valid in the card processing system only for card-not-present transactions.
