CARD WITH INFORMATION FEATURES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Cards as disclosed are specially constructed to include machine readable information and include a substrate configured with one or more information features for use with an information readable device. The substrate may be selected by a user and be combined with one or more information features in a manner facilitating use of the card for an end-use application. The information features may be in a variety of forms including magnetic strip, chips, numeric information, alphabetic information, and combinations thereof. In an example, and information feature may be taken from an initial substrate and disposed into the selected substrate of the card to provide a customized card user experience. The user input and/or information feature(s) may be provided by conventional means, and the finished card may be sent to the user through the mail or the like once the card is made in accordance with the user's input and selection.
TRANSACTION CASE
A transaction case performs multiple functions related for protecting a communication device and consolidating transaction data from at least one specific payment card onto a universal payment card. A housing receives the communication device. A compartment stores items. A cover opens and closes over the compartment with a lock having a wallet for holding items. A payment card slot holds universal payment cards. The universal payment card uses the transaction data from the specific payment card to perform transactions. The universal payment card utilizes security features selectively moving the universal payment card in position to perform transactions. An electromagnet connects to a spring-loaded lever controlling movement of the universal payment card. A secret code must be input to generate a signal for interfering with the magnetic field, such that the universal payment card to be released from the slot for use. A power source powers the case.
Modular transaction card
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device, system, methods and components related to a modular card. Example components of the modular card include a thin rectangular rear plate, a thin rectangular front plate overlying the rear plate, a first plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular front plate, a second plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular rear plate, the second plurality of fasteners being configured to be removably engaged with the first plurality of fasteners; a magnetic strip, and/or an integrated circuit. In operation a user may remove and/or replace various components to customize the modular card. Some customizations include altering the accounts to which the modular card relates. In some example, the modular card may include components which relate to different accounts.
PAYMENT CARD SYSTEM AND METHOD
Embodiments of the invention relate to payment cards and methods for making payment cards. In one embodiment, a card comprises a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer. The second layer comprises a plurality of particles comprising metal, and the plurality of particles comprise at least about 15 volume % of the second layer. In another embodiment, a mixture is prepared comprising polymer and a plurality of particles comprising metal. The plurality of particles comprise at least about 15 volume % of the mixture. The mixture is pressed and an outer layer is applied. The mixture and outer layer are then cut to form the card.
TRANSACTION PROCESSING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PER-TRANSACTION PERSONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
An improved point of sale terminal and method of operation thereof providing new personal financial management support features thereto including receiving payment for a transaction amount from a user includes means for receiving from the user a primary account number associated with a primary account having a plurality of subaccounts each having a subaccount indicator and means for receiving from the user a user selected subaccount indicator from among the plurality of subaccount indicators for processing of the transaction amount. The system also includes means for transmitting the primary account number and the subaccount indicator as received from the user to a financial institution for payment authorization of the transaction amount and means for receiving authorization from the financial institution responsive to the transmitting.
TRANSMISSION-PULSE SEQUENCE INCLUDING PROXY FOR SECONDARY MAGNETIC STRIPE
A contactless payment device and method streams a sequence of magnetic-field pulses directly to two magnetic-stripe read heads of a point-of-sale terminal. The stream of pulses includes essential information needed to approve a transaction. The essential information is structured for a primary channel associated with one of the read heads. A series of proxy bits are included in the stream in order to satisfy the data collection requirements for a secondary channel associated with the other read head. The proxy bits are included in a custom bit stream that may be used to improve acceptance of payment transmission data at a POS terminal.
Digital plaque media panel and infrastructure
A digital plaque media panel that displays a certificate, the educational institution associated with the certificate currently displayed on the digital plaque media panel is an alma mater associated with the individual user. The digital plan media panel receives and displays alma mater related news and information, periodically or as needed, to the individual user based on a configuration. An alumni updates and advertisement infrastructure provides alma mater related news and information.
Prepaid, Debit and Credit Card Security Code Generation System
This invention is a comprehensive Dynamic Security Code (DSC) System (DSC System) that can change the security code of a prepaid, debit, or credit card (Payment Card). In an effort to thwart Card-Not-Present (CNP) fraud, the DSC System provides dynamic security code values (DSC Values) that have a limited use. The DSC Values provided by this DSC System can be calculated by various methodologies and can be used within existing standard payment card infrastructures. The DSC System can also be used with other form factors and in other environments not related to payments such as balance inquiries. The DSC Values can be calculated by a DSC Generator Server or on the card itself.
Device adapted for emulating tactile contacts on a capacitive screen
The invention relates to a device (CD) comprising a capacitive keyboard (KB) constituted of a plurality of keys (KY), each key comprising an active electrode (AEL) and an active ground plane (AGP), a microcontroller (MC) connected to said keyboard (KB) through active electrode (AEL) and active ground plane (AGP). Said microcontroller (MC) is adapted for managing said keyboard (KB) in a reverse manner for emulating a sequence of tactile contacts on a capacitive screen.
Display card with user interface
A display card 301 with a user interface for providing one or more services. The card 301 comprises: an external interface 302, 303 for communication with a terminal external from the card 301; a Chip 401 comprising one or more servers for storing one or more applications, wherein the Chip 401 is arranged to communicate with the external interface 302, 303; a user interface 304, 305, 306 for interacting with a user of the card 301; a micro-terminal 402 for controlling the provision of one or more services, wherein the micro-terminal 402 is arranged to communicate with the user interface 304, 305, 306; and the Chip 401 and micro-terminal 402 are arranged to communicate with each other via an internal interface 403 of the Chip 401. Applications include payment cards and passes.
