Systems and methods for pattern generation and security features
Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for providing user participatory design as a process to generate unique patterns on transaction cards are disclosed. For example, a system for providing an interactive design environment for designing a transaction card is disclosed. Accordingly, the system may provide for deeper customization of transaction cards through generative patterns curated by designers and informed by end-users. As a result, the patterns on transaction cards may be unique to every user, and these unique patterns may provide additional security functions to cardholders.
Device With Biometric-Gated Display
A module configured to perform processing as part of a device capable of performing contactless or contact communication with a terminal. The module comprises: a biometric sensor; one or more display screens; and one or more control units configured to: cause the biometric sensor to capture biometric data of a user which can be used to biometrically authenticate the user; obtain biometric authentication information indicating whether the user was biometrically authenticated based on the captured biometric data; and in response to the biometric authentication information indicating the user was biometrically authenticated, select one or more categories of authenticated information from a plurality of categories of authenticated information based on one or more detected conditions, and cause the one or more display screens to display the one or more selected categories of authenticated information.
PAYMENT APPLICATION INITIATED GENERATION OF PAYMENT INSTRUMENTS
In some examples, a system and method for generating a payment instrument are described. The method includes receiving a unique signature that a recipient intends to associate with the payment instrument; verifying that the received feature meets an acceptability criterion; generating a representation of the received signature, wherein the representation is in a form capable of being physically associated with the payment instrument, and wherein association is established by embedding or exposing the representation on the payment instrument; and causing physical generation of the payment instrument having associated therewith the representation of the signature.

CREDIT CARD WITH CHROMOGENIC FEATURES
A credit card with an obscurable account identifier. The credit card further comprises a substrate defining a first surface with a chromogenic feature wherein the chromogenic feature is capable of changing from a first state and a second state based on an activating trigger. In the first state, the chromogenic feature appears with a first optical property that obscures the account identifier, and in the second state. the chromogenic feature appears with a second optical property that reveals the account identifier.
ENABLING CARD AND METHOD AND SYSTEM USING THE ENABLING CARD IN A POS
The invention relates to an enabling card as well as a system and method for completing a financial transaction in a P.O.S. terminal comprising: a processor carried by the enabling card for: establishing a connection with a mobile device; receiving secure information from a mobile device and generating a digital signal; a coil carried by the enabling card for generating a magnetic field in response to the digital signal to simulate the swipe of card in the P.O.S. terminal and complete the financial transaction.
Credit card with chromogenic features
A credit card with an obscurable account identifier. The credit card further comprises a substrate defining a first surface with a chromogenic feature wherein the chromogenic feature is capable of changing from a first state and a second state based on an activating trigger. In the first state, the chromogenic feature appears with a first optical property that obscures the account identifier, and in the second state, the chromogenic feature appears with a second optical property that reveals the account identifier.
Magnetic stripe data transmission device and method
The present invention relates to a device for transmitting data and, particularly, to a device for transmitting data by using a magnetic stripe method. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the magnetic stripe data transmission device comprises: a coil to which a current is supplied in a first direction and a second direction, which is opposite to the first direction; a core for inducing a magnetic field when the current is supplied to the coil; a power source for supplying the current to the coil; driving units for intermittently supplying, to the coil, in the first direction or the second direction, a burst pulse or pseudo-burst pulse current supplied from the power source; and a control unit for outputting, to the driving units, a control signal in order to perform control such that the current is supplied to the coil alternately in the first direction and the second direction, wherein the core can be made of a material having an aspect ratio value of at least 0.5, having a coercivity value of 1000-10,000 [A/m], and having pseudo-hard magnetic density of which the saturated magnetic flux density value is at least 1 [T].
Sensor-enabled activation of payment instruments
In some examples, a system and method for activating a payment instrument. The method includes leveraging an activation feature associated with a payment instrument. The representation, obtained by a sensor, of the activation feature is received by the payment processing system. The payment processing system compares the representation of the activation feature with stored activation features corresponding to a user associated with the payment instrument. If the representation matches a user-associated activation feature, the payment processing system activates the payment instrument, wherein activating further includes granting the recipient access to a predetermined amount of funds through the activated payment instrument.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SMART ELECTRONIC WALLET AND RECONFIGURABLE TRANSACTION CARD THEREOF
A smart electronic wallet with reconfigurable multiple-account transaction card is provided. The system and method provide measures for storing a plurality of account identifiers from a plurality of traditional single-use transaction cards into a storage memory in a smart wallet. The system and method also provide for storing a reconfigurable multiple-account transaction card within the smart electronic wallet and allowing for it to be dynamically and selectively reconfigured for any one of the plurality of account identifiers stored within the smart electronic wallet. Additionally, a consumer is able to initiate a transfer or trade of transaction cards across different smart electronic wallet devices.
