Prepaid chip card exception processing
A portable consumer device may have money stored therein, which can be calculated using an accumulator record and an exception record. The accumulator record can be incremented by the amount of any initiated transaction using the portable consumer device. The exception record can be incremented by the amount of any completed transaction using the portable consumer device. The portable consumer device may also have a limit amount, to record the amount of money added. The records allow for a later reconstruction of the device history, and can account for any errors or problems during transactions.
WEARABLE DEVICE, WRISTWATCH, AND SHORT DISTANCE COMMUNICATION SWITCH METHOD
A wearable device includes an antenna configured to transmit and receive a short distance communication signal; a set of security chips coupled to the antenna, including a plurality of security chips configured to process private information of a user; and a controller disposed between the antenna and the set of security chips, configured to enable one of the security chips in the set of security chips based on a user operation, to transmit and receive the short distance communication signal via the antenna. A wristwatch and a short distance communication switch method are also provided. The user can select one of communication chips to carry out short distance communication with an external device. This improves convenience in using the electronic cards.
INTEGRATED POWER SOURCE ON A PAYMENT DEVICE
The described payment device includes an integrated power source including a piezoelectric accelerometer. Upon motion of the payment device, kinetic energy may be translated to a mass of the piezoelectric accelerometer to generate electrical energy to power other functions of the payment device. Motion translated to the piezoelectric accelerometer may also be used in combination with other inputs to implement security functions of the payment device.
DEVICE FOR DYNAMICALLY GENERATING AND DISPLAYING A SECURITY CODE
A device comprising a physical support and an electronic chip supported by the support and comprising a memory module and a processor configured to implement a computer program configured to produce a result from data. The device further comprises a display module configured to display the result and a radio antenna configured to receive at least one electromagnetic signal configured to electrically supply the display module. The data comprises at least one item of static data, stored in a non-transient memory and an item of dynamic data, circulating in a transient memory. The dynamic data is received by the device through the at least one electromagnetic signal and the at least one electromagnetic signal is received by the device from at least one communication device.
Smart card NFC secure money transfer
A secure method of real time money transferring between account holders utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies, dynamic transaction cards, and a mobile application to facilitate a seamless mobile transfer of funds. The dynamic transaction card of the customer requesting to make the transfer of funds may be placed in contact with the second recipient dynamic transaction card of the customer receiving the funds transfer to establish an NFC connection. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may receive, via the NFC antenna on the card, the recipient customer account information stored on a passive NFC tag. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may transmit the recipient account information to a mobile application, which may transmit the recipient account information to an account provider system for facilitating the funds transfer.
Smart card purchasing transactions using wireless telecommunications network
A smart card transaction allows a consumer to load value onto a smart card and to make purchases using a smart card with a mobile telephone handset over the telecommunications network. For loading, the system includes: a mobile telephone handset including a card reader; a gateway computer; a funds issuer computer; and an authentication computer. The mobile telephone handset receives a request from a user to load a value onto the smart card. The handset generates a funds request message which includes the value and sends the funds request message to a funds issuer computer. The funds issuer computer debits an account associated with the user. Next, the handset generates a load request message with a cryptographic signature and sends the load request message to an authentication computer which authenticates the smart card. The handset receives a response message which includes a cryptographic signature and an approval to load. Finally, the handset validates the second cryptographic signature and loads the value onto the smart card. For payment, the system includes a merchant server and a payment server. First, the handset sends an order request message to the merchant server computer, and in return receives a purchase instruction message. The handset processes the purchase instruction message locally, and then sends a draw request message to a payment server computer. The payment server computer sends a debit message which includes a cryptographic signature and an approval to debit the smart card. Finally, the handset validates the cryptographic signature and debits the smart card.

Pre-authorized communication services and/or transactions are provided via a plurality of networks in response to a request received from a user to provide at least one of a communication service, a transaction and user account information via a plurality of networks of different types. Prior to processing the request, there is verification of the user's authorization to receive the at least one of the communication service, the transaction, and the user account information, and that an account associated with the user has a sufficient amount currently available for payment of the at least one of the communication service and the transaction. After verification, an authorized account associated with the user is charged in real time as the at least one of the communication service and the transaction is provided.
ELECTRONIC VALUE MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC VALUE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC VALUE MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
In order to solve the above problem, there is provided an electronic value management apparatus (10) including a reception unit (11) that receives an input of a load amount, and a loading unit (12) that performs a loading process of subtracting the load amount from a balance of an electronic value of a providing entity stored in a first storage unit and adding the load amount to a balance of an electronic value of a receiving entity stored in a second storage unit.
