Automated storage system
An automated storage system for receiving, storing, and dispensing items is herein proposed. The system has an enclosure, which defines a storage volume, and a port which selectively connects the storage volume to the ambient space for deposit and retrieval of items. The system also includes a plurality of containers for containing at least one item being stored as well as a support structure for supporting the plurality of containers in the storage volume. The containers feature a base, an envelope extending from the base, and an opening opposing the base and providing access to an inner volume defined by the base and envelope for containing at least one item. The system includes a manipulator for transporting the containers between an access position at the port and a storage position at the support structure. Finally, the system includes a one-sided attachment interface between the container and the support structure for removably attach the container to the support structure in the storage position, in which the opening of the container is above the base.
CUP DISPENSER SENSOR FOR AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING REFILL ALERTS
A system for providing a measure of a number of cups housed within a cup dispenser includes a sensor and a computing system. The cup dispenser includes a body configured to house a stack of cups, and a plunger configured to engage a first cup of the stack of cups and to bias the stack of cups toward a discharge opening defined by a first end of the body. The sensor is coupled to the plunger and is configured to measure a distance from the plunger to a second end of the body, and to transmit the measured distance across a network. The computing system receives the measured distance from the network, and determines, based on the measured distance, the measure of the number of cups housed within the cup dispenser. In response to determining that the number of cups is less than the threshold, the system transmits an alert.
POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEMS WITH MULTIPLE DELIVERY MECHANISMS FOR MATTRESSES, PILLOWS, AND BEDDING AND BEDROOM-RELATED PRODUCTS
Embodiments herein call for an apparatus, method, and system for the sale and provision to users of mattresses, pillows, and other bedding and bedroom-related products. The system comprises two mechanisms for storage and delivery of these items to users. The first mechanism includes a separate storage compartment and delivery compartment with a unit transfer subsystem configured to remove a selected at least one unit from the storage compartment and transfer the selected at least one unit to the delivery compartment. The second mechanism includes one or more combined storage and delivery compartments. A user interface is configured to display the one or more products to a user, receive a user selection of one or more of the units, and authorizes either or both of the first and second mechanisms to allow the user to access the selected unit.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DISPLAY AND DISPENSING OF A PRODUCT
Methods and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing, a lid assembly, a base, a dispenser assembly, and embedded signage. The housing includes a number of walls forming an internal volume, a top opening, and a bottom opening. At least one wall is composed of a translucent material. The lid assembly is operable to facilitate loading of an item into the housing, and the dispenser assembly is operable to dispense the item from the housing. The embedded signage is positioned at an internal surface of the at least one wall and/or integrated into the at least one wall, such that information displayed by the embedded signage is visible from a point external to the housing.
Article ejecting device of automatic vending machine
An article ejecting device of an automatic vending machine includes an article storage rack having an article storage passage for storing articles while being laid sideways, a base board forming one side of the article storage passage, a first stopper member movable between a protruding position in which the first stopper member protrudes toward the article storage passage and a retractable position in which the first stopper member is retracted from the article storage passage, a second stopper member movable between a protruding position in which the second stopper member protrudes toward the article storage passage and a retractable position in which the second stopper member is retracted from the article storage passage, and an outlet adjustment member forming another side of the article storage passage. The first stopper member includes an article placement surface having a holding portion holding the first vending article in a rolling manner.

Vending machine
A vending machine provides a housing for enclosing a container unit, a printing unit, a bagging unit, and a retrieval bin. The units are connected to each other by a number of passages that allow stored products to be transported between the units. Customers interact with the vending machine via a terminal, which actuates other components based on customer inputs. The container unit serves as a primary storage, holding the product until a customer makes a purchase. The requested product is then funneled into a primary passage, either towards the bagging unit or forked to the printing unit if necessary. The bagging unit has a door that allows the product to drop into a bag. The bag itself is retrieved from a storage area and positioned below the door by a bag manipulating mechanism. It is then sealed and dropped into the retrieval bin to allow a customer access.
