An appliance for preparing frothed milk includes a container for receiving milk and a docking element for connection to a drinks preparation machine. The docking element includes a connection for steam delivered by the drinks preparation machine, and a milk froth outlet for the frothed milk. The docking element includes a main body with a plurality of fluid channels and a supplementary part, which is reversibly removable from the main body. The supplementary part has a material that is softer in comparison to the main body, is continuous and includes several elements through which milk, steam, water and/or air can flow and which engage into the fluid channels.

An appliance that is dockable onto a drinks preparation machine, for preparing frothed milk and, for this purpose, includes at least one connection for steam produced by the drinks preparation machine, as well as an interface for electrical current delivered from the drinks preparation machine. The appliance also includes a milk frothing unit with a gear pump. The gear pump at an inlet side is connected to a milk feed conduit and to an air feed. A mixing nozzle is provided on a path of milk delivered by the gear pump, to which mixing nozzle this milk, the steam as well as the air can be fed.

A coffee machine for producing and dispensing coffee-based beverages is disclosed, including a hydraulic pump and at least one dispensing device comprising a filter unit apt to contain ground coffee. A hydraulic circuit brings the hydraulic pump into fluid communication with a supply unit of the dispensing device. The hydraulic circuit includes a supply duct which supplies hot water under pressure to the supply unit. A system for controlling the dispensing pressure includes a control unit, a pressure sensor, and a hydraulic variable-flow valve. The variable-flow valve is actuated by an electronic drive controlled electronically by the control unit in order to regulate the flow rate of water output as a function of a detected dispensing pressure value.

The valve selectively accesses the fluid conduit system and the air conduit system such that the pump selectively pumps fluid and selectively pumps air.
APPARATUS FOR EXTRACTING COFFEE AND METHOD FOR PREHEATING HEATER THEREOF
Disclosed are an apparatus for extracting coffee and a method for preheating a heater thereof. The apparatus for extracting coffee comprises: an input part which receives a command for controlling an operation of the apparatus for extracting coffee; a heater which heats water supplied to a coffee flow path for extracting coffee; a temperature sensor which measures the temperature of the heater; an input voltage acquisition part which acquires an input voltage value applied to the apparatus for extracting coffee; and a control part which determines the possibility of coffee extraction by detecting the operation of the apparatus for extracting coffee, and if it is determined that there is a high possibility of coffee extraction, controls a preheating operation of the heater on the basis of the input voltage value acquired by the input voltage acquisition part and the temperature of the heater measured by the temperature sensor.

A beverage machine (300) comprises a pump (106) for pumping water (104) from a water tank (102) through a heater (108) and a hollow injection needle (200) into a beverage capsule (202), a pressurization device (302) comprising a cavity (304), a water line (116) connecting an outlet of the pump (106) to said cavity (304), a pressurization device valve (316) between the pump (106) and said pressurization device (302), a gas line (312) connecting the pressurization device (302) to said hollow injection needle (200), and a discharge valve (314), such that the pressurization device (302) receives a volume of water (104) from the pump (106) to compress a volume of gas (310) held in the cavity (304) of said pressurization device (302), and such that said compressed volume of gas (310) is discharged through the hollow injection needle (200) when the discharge valve (314) is opened.
