Vending-kiosk based systems and methods to vend and/or prepare items, for instance prepared foods
Kiosks, components, and methods are disclosed for preparing food to be vended to customers. The kiosk may be part of a multi-modal food distribution system in which the kiosk may operate in one or more various modes, including a kiosk vending mode, a constellation mode, and a cook en route mode to vend hot, prepared food to customers. The kiosks in the system may be configurable to change between each of the different modes depending upon information received by the system. The kiosk may be part of a kiosk-based food preparation system in which the kiosk vends prepared food items to customers. The kiosk may transmit information that may be used to provide replenishment to the kiosk. Such information may include the number of items vended, the number of items and/or supplies remaining, and/or a replenishment signal.
KIOSK FOR STORING AND DISTRIBUTING BAKED PRODUCT AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present technology is directed to a kiosk for storing, displaying, and distributing a plurality of baked products. The kiosk may include, for example, a housing defining a chamber therein and configured to receive a plurality of baked products. The kiosk may include one or more sensors configured to analyze the individual baked products to determine one or more baked unit parameters and adjust one or more baking inputs based on the measured parameters.
HEATED PORTAL FRAME FOR ORDER DISPENSATION PORTAL
Examples provide a heated portal frame associated with an order dispensation portal for dispensing a set of items to a user. The heated portal frame includes a metallic framework forming a horizontal surface defining at least one tote access portal. Each tote access portal defined by the metallic framework is associated with a recessed tote compartment configured to support at least one tote storing a set of item beneath the metallic framework. The heated portal frame includes a set of resistance heating elements associated with at least a portion of the portal frame. The resistance heating element(s) warm the frame to increase a temperature of an exterior surface of the portal frame in contact with ambient exterior air. The heating element(s) can be located beneath the frame or embedded within the frame to prevent condensation forming on the portal frame.
AUTOMATIC FOOD PREPARATION LINE
An automatic food preparation line for automatically preparing bread products for making sandwiches or burgers comprises an automatic bread product handling system containing a plurality of different types of bread products, an automatic toaster appliance for toasting the bread products, an automatic packaging system for automatically dispensing both box and wrapping paper packaging, an automatic sauce dispensing system for dispensing a plurality of different sauces onto the bread product, an automatic non-sauce condiment dispensing system for dispensing one or more different condiments onto the bread product, and an automatic conveyor system for conveying the bread product between the various systems. The entire automatic food preparation line is under the control of a suitable computer, such as, for example, a programmable logic controller (PLC), and a patron may select the type of bread product, the type of sauce, and the type of non-sauce condiment by inputting such selections into a user interface (UI) located at a point-of-sale (POS) location.
Medical products storage device including access control
An apparatus and method for storing medical products such as pharmaceutical and medical products in climate controlled storage devices includes climate control systems in communication with inventory access and tracking systems.
FLAVOUR SELECTABLE FROZEN SOFT-SERVE CONFECTION DISPENSING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a frozen soft-serve confection dispensing machine where the soft serve confection is a flavored frozen soft-serve confection having a base selected from ice creams, frozen yogurts, sorbets and gelatos. The dispensing machine comprises one or more base hoppers, each base hopper being linked to a dedicated detachable base cartridge, a dedicated plurality of detachable flavour cartridges containing a flavour mix and a dedicated mixing chamber and storage slot associated with each detachable flavour cartridge. The detachable base cartridge and plurality of flavour cartridges are connected to one of the base hoppers. Control means are provided to enable a user to select a flavour mix from one of the dedicated flavour cartridges, and to cause the base and selected flavour mix to be mixed in the dedicated mixing chamber and then storing and refrigerating the mixture of the base and flavour mix in the storage slots to form a mixed frozen soft-serve confection for dispensing.
Interactive Frozen Confectionery Vending Machine
An interactive frozen confectionery vending machine with a freezer enclosure, a delivery and toppings dispensing enclosure and a control system enclosure. A programmable control system allows a customer to select a frozen confectionery cup stored within the freezer enclosure and to select a hard and soft topping that are automatically dispensed into the cup and the cup is delivered to the waiting customer through a customer access door that closes after the transaction is completed. A centrally located gear motor rotates an arm that terminates in a cup. The cup receives a topping from a canister and then rotates to drop the topping into the frozen confectionery cup. A soft topping is pumped via flexible liquid topping delivery tubes into a dispensing arm located above the frozen confectionery cup. A standard payment system and touch screen allow the customer to pay for and select frozen confectionery and toppings.
COOLER FOR BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
A cooler for storing beverage containers. The cooler includes a housing defining an interior volume for storing a first beverage container at a first predetermined temperature and a compartment within the interior volume of the housing for storing a second beverage container at a second predetermined temperature that is at or below a freezing point of the beverage. The cooler further includes a user interface for receiving a user input to dispense the second beverage container, and a delivery portal for providing access to the second beverage container. A chute is configured to communicate the second beverage container from the compartment to the delivery portal and to cause nucleation of the beverage and form a slush beverage. A cooling unit is configured to maintain the interior volume of the housing at the first predetermined temperature and the compartment at the second predetermined temperature.
Vehicle vending system
Vending systems for use in a vehicle are disclosed. In some embodiments, the systems include the following: a product housing positioned in a vehicle, the product housing including an exposed surface having a product delivery opening; a removable inventory cartridge; a product dispensing mechanism including a product dispensing opening, the product dispensing mechanism being configured for dispensing a product from the removable inventory cartridge in the product housing to the product dispensing opening; a product delivery conduit including a first end and a second end, the first end being joined with the product dispensing opening and the second end defining a product delivery opening, which is formed in the exposed top surface of the product housing and positioned in a passenger compartment of the vehicle; and an lifting mechanism positioned within the product delivery conduit for mechanically lifting the product dispensing opening to the product delivery opening.
