Automated bakery kiosk with order customization
An automated bakery kiosk 1000 takes orders for customized bakery products 7, prepares the bakery product 7, automatically customizes it, stores and dispenses the bakery product 7 with minimal assistance required from a store associate 5. It employs a customization subsystem 1100 which can write or decorate with an edible liquid 9, such as icing, on the bakery product 7. It also has temperature-controlled storage compartments 1100 which can be used to thaw the bakery product 7 so that it will be ready when it reaches its ultimate destination. There is a cleaning subsystem 1131 which cleans out the liquid 9, and an antimicrobial system 1139 which reduces microbes on the customization device 1100. The automated bakery kiosk 1000 also has a customer interface 1610 that works with the processor 1510 and transport mechanism 1300 to transport the customer's bakery product 7 to a pick-up compartment 1020 when the customer 3 provides a proper code to access the bakery product 7.
AUTONOMOUS FOOD STATION
A novel food station comprises a plurality of cubbies, each cubby sized to enclose a food portion container, and an externally accessible collection hatch large enough for the food portion container to pass therethrough. A heating system can controllably heat the food portion container within a selected one of the cubbies, independently of an operation of the heating system the other cubbies. A cooling system can perform cooling within a subset of cubbies that includes at least the selected cubby. An internal transport system includes an end effector that temporarily couples to the portion container carrier of the selected cubby and controllably moves the food portion container carrier within the food station to the collection hatch. A control system includes a memory that controls the heating and controls the movement of the internal transport system.
IMPLANTABLE MATRIX FOR TREATING CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISORDERS
The present invention is related to the fields of drug delivery and implantable devices. Devices, systems, and methods for use of drug delivery implants are contemplated herein. The present invention relates to implantable devices, as well as their methods of use and manufacturing. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention include fiber and sheet based implantable devices for drug delivery to bodily lumens. In particular, implantable drug delivery device compositions are contemplated for use providing consistent drug delivery over time to the central nervous system for treating associated disorders and disease. As one specific example, a CNS delivery device is contemplated for implantation in a region of the nose for providing consistent drug delivery over time to brain tissue for treating brain associated diseases, e.g. Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias (AD/ADRD).
Isolating robotic actuators from food and beverage preparation
Provided is a device, comprising: a barrier configured to impeded or prevent particles shed by a robot in a first volume of space from entering a second volume of space in which the robot manipulates a workpiece; and a robot having three or more degrees of freedom, the robot comprising: a first portion disposed on a first side of the barrier in the first volume, the first portion comprising an actuator of the robot, the actuator being configured to drive movement of the robot to manipulate the workpiece; and a second portion disposed on a second side of the barrier in the second volume, the second portion comprising an end-effector of the robot by which the robot makes contact with the workpiece.
Bulk product dispenser
An improved dispenser unit for dispensing bulk food items, including a cabinet having at least one hopper having a drum with product compartments, a deflector and flexible gate valve, a dispense assembly, and a control system. The dispense assembly may or may not include one or more belts and/or sensors. The product compartments include flexible and/or elastic membranes, which dynamically change the effective product storage volume within a compartment, and eliminate rigid or semi-rigid pinch points between the drum and drum compartment. A product flow divider may be positioned above the receiving container in the dispense assembly, said divider configured to cause the dispensed product to divide into two or more flow streams into the receiving container. The receiving container may be vibrated or oscillated.
AUTOMATIC HOME COOKING MACHINE
An automatic home cooking machine comprises a food storage section for dry and unperishable food products, means for controllably discharging food products from the food storage section, a dispensing section which includes a plurality of spaced controllable food dispensers retained within a stationary freezer compartment, a lower plate on which are positionable a plurality of food vessels, a rotatable insulating plate located below the freezer compartment and formed with an aperture through which desired food products are gravitationally delivered either from the food storage section or from the dispensing section to an underlying one of the food vessels located directly below the aperture, and cooking apparatus adapted to cook the food products received within each of the food vessels.
Reducing cost and size of food and beverage preparation robots
Provided is an alimentary-product assembling and dispensing device comprising: a plurality of alimentary-ingredient dispensers positioned to dispense respective ingredients in a plurality of different locations of a robotic work environment; a robot configured to receive an open-top vessel from an open-top-vessel dispenser and move the open-top vessel to the different locations to receive different ingredients from the plurality of alimentary-ingredient dispensers, wherein the robot comprises four or fewer degrees of freedom; and a vending aperture through which consumers retrieve vended alimentary products assembled by the robot from ingredients dispensed from the plurality of alimentary-ingredient dispensers.
VENDING MACHINE FOR HOT PACKAGED FOOD
The invention provides a vending machine for dispensing hot packaged food. The vending machine includes a storage and dispenser unit comprising plural dispensing trays arranged in an array for storing one or more packaged foods, a frame, and a carrier structure. Each individual dispensing tray includes a pivotable gate and a slideway inclined by a tilting angle from a horizontal axis. The carrier structure comprises a carrying arm having an engaging feature; and an engaging mechanism for actuating the pivotable gate. The engaging mechanism is configured to move the carrying arm towards the individual dispensing tray such that the engaging feature actuates the pivotable gate from a locked position to an unlocked position. The packaged food is prevented from sliding down when the pivotable gate is at the locked position. The packaged food is slidable relative to the individual dispensing tray when the pivotable gate is at the unlocked position.
STEAMER FOR FOOD REHYDRATION
A system for rehydrating a food item includes a housing, a casing, an actuator, a moisture source, and a plate. The moisture source includes an outlet and an enclosed vessel having liquid. The liquid is released by steam or pressure as moisture into a first end of a conduit. The system has a plate with a top surface, a bottom surface and an opening traversing between the two. A casing couples with the top surface of the plate. The second end of the conduit couples with the opening. The casing has a pivot point. An actuator couples the casing on a first end and the housing at a second end. The actuator moves the casing from a first position to a second position by rotation about the pivot point. In the first position, the moisture flows towards the plate and in the second position moisture flow is idled.
