Short Travel Pusher Plate Stacking Bin
A pusher plate stacking bin apparatus is provided for a valuable media depository. The apparatus comprising a pusher plate driven by a rack and pinion apparatus to stack a media item that is in a final position within the apparatus onto a media stacking platform. The media item is urged into the final position such that a trailing edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a fixed media guide and such that a leading edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a hinged media guide with a bottom surface of the media item elevated above the media stacking platform. The rack and pinion apparatus drives the plate past the media guides causing the hinged media guide to drop and the media item to fold along the leading edge as the media item is stacked onto the platform.
Service messaging system and method for a transaction machine
A method includes receiving a transaction request at a transaction machine, the transaction request being associated with an account holder, determining a weather status for the transaction machine, determining screen content for the transaction machine based on the weather status, and displaying the screen content to the account holder via a display screen of the transaction machine.
Self-service modular drop safes with messenger access capability
Novel modular smart management devices in the form of drop safes include the modular components of a chassis, door and technology cabinet. The drop safes enable retailers to make cash deposits quickly and safely within or near their own facilities. Various technology, including RFID readers, RFID tags, and other equipment allow the drop safes to identify each deposited bag. Employees utilize specialized apps on their mobile devices to facilitate deposit creation and other tasks. Novel methodologies for accessing the drop safes for emptying employ single-use, time-expiration type authorization codes along with other security measures to minimize risk and to provide other benefits. Novel structures along with methodologies for replacing, on-site, modular components with auto-detection of functionality during initialization and re-initialization enables for efficient replacement and upgrading of components, including the upgrading of safes to provide additional functionality.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A CHIP CARD READER AND AN EXTERNAL DEVICE
The invention relates to a method for performing a transaction with a system (1, 1A, 1B, 10) comprising a terminal (2) and a chip device (3), said system being configured to communicate to a user (6), during said transaction, transaction information from the terminal via an adapter (4), said adapter being configured to receive, by wire or wirelessly, said information (5) and to translate it into voice or another form, said information being obtained or collected in or via said chip device (3), characterized in that said chip device (3) is configured with a first communication interface with proximity radiofrequency or electrical (M3) contacts included in the device in order to receive the transaction information directly from a communication interface of the terminal. The invention also relates to the corresponding system.
Biometric Automated Teller Machine
The present invention relates to a biometric automated teller machine that uses biometrics to authenticate a user rather than a bank card and personal identification number. The biometric automated teller machine comprises a biometric scanner configured to scan the fingerprint of the user and a camera configured to scan the iris and retina of the user. The captured biometric is compared with biometrics that have been registered by the user for the purpose of authentication. The biometric automated teller machine enables the user to withdraw cash and perform other actions in a safer, more convenient, and simpler manner than do current automated teller machines.
Wireless device for retrofitting ATMs
A wireless device is provided for retrofitting ATMs. The wireless device including a memory; at least one hardware processor coupled to the memory; a hardware interface coupled to the least one hardware processor; and, at least one antenna coupled to the at least one hardware processor, where the at least one hardware processor is configured to: (i) receive over the at least one antenna an instruction to retrieve state data; (ii) receive the state data over the hardware interface from an ATM; and, (iii) transmit over a virtual private network (VPN) using the at least one antenna the state data, where the VPN is separate from a financial institution network the ATM communicates with to perform transactions.
Stripper Assembly
A stripper assembly can include a feed wheel, a stripping tire, a drag clutch, and first and second stripping elements. The feed wheel and stripping tire can be mounted for rotation in clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) directions and can contact one another to define a nip through which papers are directed. The drag clutch can be interposed between the stripping tire and the shaft it is mounted upon. The first and second stripping elements can be positioned on the shaft of the stripping tire on opposite sides of the nip. Each of the stripping elements can be configured and positioned to engage papers passing through the nip. The drag clutch is not interposed between either of the first and second stripping elements and the shaft of the stripping tire.
AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE (ATM) PRE-STAGE ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY
The current disclosure may include a mobile robot having an ambulatory system capable of moving the robot at speeds of at least two miles per hour, a machine vision system, a communication system including a speaker that produces human-audible sounds and also configured to conduct wireless communication using a wireless communications link. Such communication may be conducted with a remote server. The robot may include a banking card receiving slot for receiving a banking card and a keypad for receiving a PIN. Some embodiments may include a document scanning and processing system in electronic communication with the communication system. In addition, the robot may use the document scanning and processing system to receive documents from the customer, scan and process the documents from the customer, and transmit information derived from the processing, to the remote server. Such information may serve to facilitate an interaction between the customer and an ATM.
Currency disinfecting assembly
A currency disinfecting assembly includes a housing that has entry extending therein and an exit extending to receive and dispense paper currency. A roller unit is positioned in the housing and the roller unit is positioned between the entry and the exit to transport the paper currency between the entry and the exit. A disinfecting unit is integrated into the housing and the disinfecting unit emits electromagnetic radiation to kill bacteria. A control unit is coupled to the housing and the control unit is in communication with the roller unit and the disinfecting unit. Moreover, the control unit turns on each of the roller unit and the disinfecting unit to facilitate the user to sterilize their paper currency.
Sanitizing self-service terminal
A self-service terminal has a bin for storing media items. A mechanism is coupled to the bin that has a pathway for selectively conveying a media item from the bin to a dispenser. A heater device is mounted in the pathway for sanitizing the media item as it is conveyed to the dispenser. The heater device has a heating element set to a predetermined temperature and a roller driven by a motor set to move the media item past the heating element at a predetermined rate of speed. By selecting the predetermined temperature to 116° C. and the predetermined rate of speed to 181 mm/sec, 99.9999% of the viral load of a known type pathogen, i.e., SARS-CoV-2, is eliminated from the media item by the sanitization process.
