Moveable platen in document handling systems for an automated teller machine
Systems and methods of the invention relate to reducing a number of jams that can occur in an automated teller machine with the employment of a moveable platen that increases a width of a channel for documents. A document analysis area can receive a document via a first transport path, wherein the document analysis area can include a channel in which the document travels to enable at least one scan component to capture an image of the document. The channel is created by one or more platen. The one or more platen can be movable to increase the width of the channel so as to allow documents to pass through the document analysis area without causing a jam or error for the automated teller machine.
MEDIUM TRANSACTION DEVICE
A medium transaction device includes: a conveyance section for a medium; a customer interface attachment point; a classification section attachment point; a storage section attachment point; and a controller that controls transaction processing of the medium with the user. At least one of the customer interface attachment point, the classification section attachment point, or the storage section attachment point is configured to allow attachment of one type of the customer interface, the classification section, or the storage section from plural mutually different respective functional types thereof. The controller switches the transaction processing executable with the user according to the type of the customer interface, the classification section, or the storage section that is attached to the customer interface attachment point, the classification section attachment point, or the storage section attachment point.
ROTARY PAPER MONEY CONVEYING DEVICE
A rotary banknote conveying device applicable to a banknote inlet/outlet of an automatic teller machine includes a banknote clamping mechanism configured to convey banknotes from the banknote inlet/outlet to an inlet of a banknote conveying passage inside the automatic teller machine; a transmission mechanism including a drive motor, a belt and a pair of pulleys; a first rotary driving mechanism including a first rotary motor and a first transmission gear and configured to drive the banknote clamping mechanism to rotate by a first angle at the banknote inlet/outlet; a second rotary driving mechanism including a second rotary motor and a second transmission gear and configured to drive the banknote clamping mechanism to rotate by a second angle at the inlet of the banknote conveying passage; and a central control mechanism including a control unit, a first position sensor, and a second position sensor.
Medium processing device
A banknote deposit and withdrawal apparatus causes a control section to function as an inserted medium counting unit, a normal medium counting unit and an abnormal mediums number calculation unit. The normal medium counting unit again feeds out and conveys banknotes from the banknote deposit and withdrawal section to the verification section in a quantity corresponding to the number of inserted banknotes, conveys abnormal banknotes that are verified as abnormal by the verification section to the banknote deposit and withdrawal section together with following banknotes but conveys normal banknotes that are verified as normal by the verification section to the temporary holding section and retains the normal banknotes therein, and counts a number of normal banknotes. The abnormal mediums number calculation unit subtracts the number of normal banknotes from the number of inserted banknotes to calculate an abnormal banknotes number.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING A DEPOSIT WITH A DEPOSITORY INSTITUTION
There is provided a method, platform and system for making a monetary deposit with a depository institution. In at least some embodiments, the method, platform and system allow users to gain access to preferential rates for their monetary deposits, and can also provide a channel for some depository institutions to provide monetary deposit products/services for the users, whereby these depository institutions could not or did not provide such monetary deposit products/services in the past.
COIN DEPOSITING DEVICE
A coin depositing device comprises a coin depositing port including a funnel-shaped inclined surface and a hole, arranged at the lowermost part of the inclined surface, through which a coin slid down along the inclined surface is deposited, and a money placing section including a money placing surface connecting with an upper end of a part of the inclined surface and a guide wall arranged at an edge part of the money placing surface, wherein the inclined surface includes a first inclined surface connecting with the money placing surface and a second inclined surface facing the first inclined surface across the hole, and a lower end of the first inclined surface is located at the bottom side of the hole below a lower end of the second inclined surface.
Transaction management system and transaction management method
In order to manage a transaction that is performed to resolve a shortage of money in a store, a management server included in a transaction management system is provided with: a message release unit configured to release a message on a network, the message including information on a request for a transaction in which depositing of money or money change is to be performed, and on a benefit that is associated with the transaction and is given on condition that the transaction is completed; a transaction management unit configured to manage reservations for the transaction that have been reserved via the network, receive information on completion of the transaction via the network, and give the benefit via the network when a reserved transaction has been completed; and a memory configured to store and manage information on the transaction and the benefit.
Document handler system and method with timed operation
A document handler system and method includes timed operation functionality in which the manufacturer of the document handler may input coded information in the document handler to establish a timed operation of the document handler which may be contingent on continued payments for use of the document handler. Alternatively, or in addition, the timed operation may be used to establish an appropriate warranty period during which the manufacturer is obligated to provide repairs, modification and/or support for the document handler.
AUTONOMOUS MOBILE BANKING
A mobile banking system and method include autonomously driving an autonomous vehicle including an automated teller machine (ATM) to a first transaction location, and conducting a first banking transaction at the first transaction location where cash is received by or dispensed from the ATM. Thereafter, a cash amount contained in the ATM is determined, a second transaction location is determined based on the cash amount contained in the ATM.
Money handling apparatus
