The banking machine includes a user interface (15) including a display (24). The user interface includes a card reader (16) which is operative to read data on user cards which identify at least one of user and a user's financial accounts. A fascia of the machine includes a keypad (404, 438, 458) through which users input confidential data. Covers (400, 422, 430) prevent unauthorized persons from viewing confidential inputs to the keypad. Authorization signals assure that the display is operating in a manner that provides appropriate user instructions. A visual indicator is operative to indicate to a user that keypad inputs are being encrypted. Alternatively a touch screen display module (608) is operative to securely receive manual inputs and/or card data.

Moveable platen in document handling systems for an automated teller machine

Systems and methods of the invention relate to reducing a number of jams that can occur in an automated teller machine with the employment of a moveable platen that increases a width of a channel for documents. A document analysis area can receive a document via a first transport path, wherein the document analysis area can include a channel in which the document travels to enable at least one scan component to capture an image of the document. The channel is created by one or more platen. The one or more platen can be movable to increase the width of the channel so as to allow documents to pass through the document analysis area without causing a jam or error for the automated teller machine.

Automated teller machine with an automatically actuatable locking element for locking cash boxes received in receiving compartments in these receiving compartments

An automated teller machine (10) has at least one receiving compartment (12 to 18) for receiving a cash box (102). At least one locking element (24, 26) is provided on a wall (20, 22) of the receiving compartment (12 to 18) and is movable between a locked and an unlocked position. The locking element (24, 26) is designed and mounted such that, when a cash box (102) is inserted the locking element (24, 26), the locking element (24, 26) is moved automatically from the unlocked into the locked position by contact with an engagement element (104) of the cash box (102).

Terminal including imaging assembly

A terminal includes a housing, a touch screen, and an imaging assembly. The imaging assembly in one embodiment is disposed in the housing so that an imaging axis extends externally from the housing. The imaging assembly can be utilized for capture of images disposed externally to the housing. In one embodiment a frame of image data captured utilizing an imaging assembly can be processed for attempting to decode a decodable indicia. In one embodiment a frame of image data captured utilizing an imaging assembly can be stored.

Mounting Plinth for Self-Service Terminal (SST)

A Self-Service Terminal (SST) plinth is provided. The SST plinth includes one or more fastening mechanisms, a power supply, and one or more communication ports. The fastening mechanisms are configured to fasten an SST to the SST plinth. The SST is powered through the power supply of the plinth. Modules of the SST connect to some of the communication ports, and cabling connects external resources of the SST to the SST though other ones of the plinth's communication ports.

IMAGE PROCESSING TO IDENTIFY CONDITIONS OF INTEREST WITHIN SELF-SERVICE TERMINALS
20170221295 · 2017-08-03 ·

Various embodiments herein each include at least one of devices, methods, and software for image processing to identifying conditions of interest within SSTs, such as ATMs and self-checkout POS terminals. Conditions of interest may include media misalignment within media cassettes, such as currency, and items within an SST reject bin that have not been removed when the SST is being serviced. One method embodiment includes receiving an image from an imaging device located within an SST, the image including a view of at least one area of interest within the SST. This method further includes processing the image to detect presence of a condition of interest within at least one of the at least one areas of interest and generating and providing an alert of a detected presence of the condition of interest with regard to at least one of the areas of interest.

AUTONOMOUS MOBILE BANKING

Embodiments of the present disclosure provides an automated teller machine comprising: a main frame; a display unit provided in the main frame; a front panel rotatably installed at the main frame; a mounting unit connecting the front panel rotatably to the main frame; a guide unit configured to guide frontward/backward movement of the display unit; and a link unit, rotatably connected to the mounting unit, configured to return the display unit that has been moved frontward to an original position when the front panel starts to be closed.

MEDIUM PROCESSING DEVICE AND MEDIUM TRANSACTION DEVICE

A medium processing device includes: a drum that has a circular cylinder shape and that rotates about a rotation shaft; a tape that, together with a medium, is wrapped onto a drum circumferential face, this being a circumferential face of the drum; a reel onto which the tape is pre-wound, and from which the tape is pulled out accompanying rotation of the drum; and a rotation restriction mechanism. The rotation restriction mechanism includes a restriction section that is obstructed from moving by the tape wrapped onto the drum circumferential face, and that moves when the drum rotates in an unwind direction to unwind the tape such that the tape comes away from the drum circumferential face to expose a wrapping location of the tape onto the drum circumferential face, and a stopper section that abuts the restriction section so as to restrict rotation of the drum in the unwind direction.

Input/output device and terminal device

An input and output device includes: an operation unit that is disposed on a front side and that receives data input by an operator; and a table unit that is disposed further forward than the operation unit and that protrudes in a forward direction. The table unit includes: a notched portion that is provided on a first side in a left-right direction and that opens forward and upward; and a recessed portion that is provided on a second side in the left-right direction, the first side being opposite to the first side, the recessed portion comprising an upper surface having a recessed shape.
