20220309486 · 2022-09-29 ·

A system includes a customer authentication system and an automatic teller machine (ATM). The ATM includes a display, one or more memory devices storing software instructions, and one or more processors configured to: execute the software instructions to perform operations to display an item on display; store information regarding the item; receive from a customer device captured information regarding the item; receive from the customer device identifying information of a customer; send the identifying information to the customer authentication system; compare the captured information with the information stored in the one or more memory devices; authenticate the customer device based on the comparison; and allow access to the customer account via the ATM after the authentication.

System and method for customer initiated fraud management

The invention relates to a customer initiated fraud management. With an embodiment of the present invention, customers may control card utilization through a mobile application. For example, customers may restrict the utilization on their cards when they do not need to use their cards as well as allow specific types of transactions on demand (e.g., PoS, Cash, card absent environment transactions, etc.). Also, an interactive user interface provides cardholders the ability to open utilization windows in specific countries and for specific utilization types.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE

An information processing device including: an operation display; a storage section configured to store transaction content information including a transaction content that has been previously executed and date/time information of the executed transaction content; a processor configured to, based on an operation date/time information of a user operating the operation display, search in the storage section as to whether there is a recursive transaction that has been repeatedly executed with a same transaction content in a same time band as a time band of the operation date/time information; and in a case in which there is the recursive transaction, display a first screen including a selection button for selecting the recursive transaction on the operation display, and, after the selection button is selected, automatically switch displays of plural screens showing a transaction content of the recursive transaction.

CASH LEVEL OPTIMIZATION WITH AUTOCALIBRATION
20220036293 · 2022-02-03 ·

The disclosure concerns a computer-implemented method of optimizing the cash level of a cash device (20), wherein the cash level indicates an amount of currency in at least one cash box of the cash device (20), wherein the method comprises the following steps: iteratively optimizing, in an automated manner, a calibration (26) of the cash device (20), wherein the calibration (26) comprises a plurality of parameters; and generating a plan (29) based at least in part on the calibration (26), wherein the plan (29) indicates when and/or how the cash device (20) is to be serviced.

Edge-node touchless authentication architecture

This disclosure describes an edge-node computing system that provides streamlined access to secured products/services based on data captured by one or more sensors. The captured data may include unsolicited authenticators. Edge-nodes may process the captured data and perform a plurality of pre-authentication routines. A consensus protocol executed by the edge-nodes may establish a threshold pre-authentication of a customer based on the plurality of pre-authentication routines. Edge-nodes may configure an automated teller machine (“ATM”) to provide the customer access to the ATM based on the threshold pre-authentication. The edge-nodes may configure the ATM to allow the customer to use a contactless authentication method to access the ATM.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DEMONSTRATING A PERSONALIZED AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE (ATM) PRESENTATION
20220036706 · 2022-02-03 · ·

A computer-implemented method for demonstrating a personalized automated teller machine (ATM) presentation to a user may include: obtaining transaction data of the user via a device associated with the user; obtaining, via the one or more processors, geographic data of the user based on the transaction data; generating, via the one or more processors, ATM data based on the geographic data of the user; obtaining, via the one or more processors, user feedback data based on the ATM data, wherein the user feedback data comprises a selection of an ATM of the list of the ATMs; transmitting, to the selected ATM of the list of the ATMs, presentation data based on the transaction data and the user feedback data; and demonstrating, via the selected ATM of the list of the ATMs, the personalized ATM presentation to the user based on the presentation data.

Automated security risk assessment systems and methods

Systems and methods involve a database function of an ATM processor on which rules database records for positive transition flows of ATM hardware or software activities are stored, a security agent function of the ATM processor that extracts data points from a transition flow for every succeeding ATM activity, and an algorithm function of the ATM processor that generates a rules database record for the transition flows for succeeding ATM activity based on the extracted data points and discards any generated rules database record that is identical to a rules database record already stored on the rules database function. A discovery phase of the algorithm function stores new rules database records, rules database function, and a protection phase of the algorithm function selects a risk protocol, when a generated record is not identical to a record already stored.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR AUTHORIZING AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE TRANSACTIONS USING BIOMETRIC DATA
20220270106 · 2022-08-25 ·

A method using an automated teller machine of processing a transaction is provided. The method includes receiving inputs indicating an account identifier and a unique personal identifier of a customer, sensing biometric data of the customer using a biometric sensor, receiving a transaction indication indicating a transaction, and generating a transaction authorization request. The transaction authorization request includes the account identifier, the unique personal identifier of the customer, the biometric data of the customer, and the transaction indication.

Method and apparatus for version independent point of sale activation (POSA) product download

A computer implemented method and apparatus for version independent Point of Sale Activation (POSA) product download. The method comprises accessing a database, wherein the database comprises a plurality of entries associated with a plurality of Point of Sale Activation (POSA) cards available for purchase at a retail store; retrieving, from the database, a plurality of entries associated with a previous version of a software product, wherein the previous version of the software product has not been redeemed; generating a serial number for each retrieved entry, wherein each serial number is associated with a current version of the software product; and updating, in the database, each retrieved entry with the generated serial number.

Dynamic replacement of self-service terminal (SST) states flow and screens handling
09811815 · 2017-11-07 · ·

A state-driven Self-Service Terminal (SST) has its existing state table dynamically and transparently replaced. The states flow, the screens rendered during the flows, and the state transitions are handled by an enhanced module processing on the SST. The enhanced module references existing state code on the SST so that the SST continues to operate in a manner expected, but enhanced functionality and features are provided to the SST through the enhanced module and the replaced state table.
