The method comprises: receiving, by the brewing system, an indication of a recipe via an operator interface; receiving ingredients; mashing the ingredients to form a mash; transporting the mash; lautering the ingredients to form a wort; cooling the wort; receiving an indication of whether to perform a fermentation of the wort or a transfer of the wort to a separate system; and cleaning the brew system.
LAUTER COMPONENT OF A BREWING SYSTEM
A component of a brewing system is provided, which comprises: a tank; a whirl arm disposed within the tank; an inlet pipe coupled with the whirl arm; and an outlet pipe coupled with a fluid coupling system; wherein the tank is configured for filtering a mash to form a wort. A brewing system is provided, which comprises: a first and a second tank, and a fluid coupling system, the second tank comprising: an inner and an outer cylinder; a whirl arm within the second tank; an inlet pipe coupled with the whirl arm and the fluid coupling system; and an outlet pipe coupled with the fluid coupling system. A method is provided, which comprises: receiving mash within a second tank from a first tank; circulating mash to form wort; transferring the wort into the first tank; receiving wort within the second tank from the first tank; and chilling the wort.
AUTOMATED BREWING SYSTEM
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an automated brewing system. In examples, a brewing system includes a variety of brewing components (e.g., one or more tanks, pumps, heaters, chillers, and/or sensors) and an associated brewing controller that manages operation of the brewing components. The brewing system may include an operator device that is in communication with the brewing controller and obtains one or more recipes (e.g., from a brewing platform) to be performed by the brewing system, thereby at least partially automatically brewing liquid based on the recipe accordingly. A user device may enable a user to browse recipes of the brewing platform, view the status of the brewing system, and/or control the brewing system, among other examples.
BREW COMPONENT OF A BREWING SYSTEM
A component of a brewing system is provided, comprising a tank; a rotary arm disposed within the tank; an inlet pipe coupled with the rotary arm; and an outlet pipe coupled with a fluid coupling system of the brew system. Additionally, a brewing system is provided, which comprises: a first and a second tank, and a fluid coupling system between the first and second tank, the first tank including: an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder; a rotary arm; an inlet pipe fluidly coupled with the rotary arm; and an outlet pipe. Further, a method is provided, comprising: receiving water into the first tank; boiling the water; receiving malt into the first tank; mashing the malt to form a mash; transferring the mash out of the first tank; receiving wort into the first tank; boiling the wort within the first tank; and transferring the wort out of the first tank.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FORMING CUSTOMIZED BEVERAGES
A method for preparing a beverage can include receiving one or more drink orders and adding the one or more drink orders on a queue. The method can also include receiving a selection of the one or more drink orders on the queue and building one or more recipes for the selected drink orders on the queue. The method can further include sending build steps from the one or more recipes to corresponding substations. For each of the build steps, the method can include instructing the corresponding substation to dispense an ingredient or execute an action. The method can also include determining each of the build steps have been completed by a user.
BEVERAGE PREPARATION SYSTEMS WITH ENHANCED DISPOSITION OF MOTORIZED ACTUATION
Beverage preparation systems, in particular espresso coffee and similar aromatic beverages, based upon a beverage preparation apparatus that has a beverage preparation device adapted so that can be actuated between open and closed positions by an actuation disposition that includes an electric motor whose operation can be regulated by a control mechanism, and thereby collect an individual portion of beverage ingredients, whereby the actuation disposition is arranged in advantageous position inside the apparatus and presents enhanced configuration and smaller construction volume.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR PREPARING BEVERAGES WITH MOTORIZED ACTUATION
Systems and process for preparing beverages, in particular espresso coffee and similar aromatic beverages, based upon a beverage preparation apparatus that has a beverage preparation device adapted to be actuated between open and closed positions by an actuation disposition that includes an electric motor and thereby collect an individual portion of beverage ingredients. A control mechanism is adapted for regulating the operation of several components of the apparatus, to limit the electric power supplied to the electric motor according to at least one previously defined rule along at least most part of the movement path carried out between the open and closed positions.
CONTROLLED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BREWING INFUSED BEVERAGES
An infused beverage brewing assembly and system operably configured to receive a desired dispensed infused solution mass and a total infusion time utilized in an infusion algorithm to generate an infused solution. The system includes an electronic controller operably configured to initiate a time counter associated with an inducement of the flow of the solvent to generate a running infusion time and a first and second portions separated by a triggering condition, and to generate, in the second portion and dynamically, a remaining infusion time and a remaining dispensed infused solution mass, The electronic controller is also operable to execute the infusion algorithm in the second portion of the running infusion time to generate the solvent flow rate change sufficient to provide the remaining dispensed infused solution mass in the remaining infusion time based on the running infusion time, the desired dispensed infused solution mass, and the total infusion time.
