Transaction plan management

Aspects of the present invention disclose a method for determining and providing notifications regarding ATMs that can fulfill a transaction plan of a user. The method includes one or more processors determining a transaction plan for a user, the transaction plan including a schedule of future transactions of the user based on historical user data and user-provided information, wherein the determined transaction plan includes a forecast future withdrawal amount and corresponding time. The method further includes one or more processors identifying an automated teller machine (ATM) preferred by the user. The method further includes one or more processors determining whether the ATM preferred by the user can fulfill the determined transaction plan. In response to determining that the ATM preferred by the user cannot fulfill the determined transaction plan, the method further includes determining one or more alternate ATMs that can fulfill the determined transaction plan.

A system includes a database, a sensor, and a hardware processor communicatively coupled to the sensor. The database stores an identifier assigned to a mobile device. The presence of the identifier in the database indicates that a user of the mobile device is associated with a security breach. The mobile device is configured to transmit the identifier over a wireless network. The sensor has a range and is configured to obtain the identifier transmitted by the mobile device when the mobile device is located within the range. The hardware processor receives the identifier from the sensor. The processor also determines that the identifier is stored in the database. In response to determining that the identifier is stored in the database, the processor initiates a security protocol.

Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for mediating traffic between an APCR and a TPS. A processor intercepts all traffic between a plurality of APCR and a plurality of TPS; halts a TCP connection from an incoming transaction request; determines that the incoming transaction request has been originated from a particular APCR among the plurality of APCR; checks, based on determining, which TPS or its siblings the incoming transaction request should be routed to; executes, based on checking, a new TCP connection with either the TPS or its siblings; receives, based on the new TCP connection, a response from the connected TPS or its siblings; attaches the response to the halted TCP connection after intercepting the response; resumes the halted TCP connection; and receives the response by an APCR node of the particular APCR in a manner as if directly received from the TPS or its siblings.

Credit card with location tracking device

A card with an embedded location tracker that can assist with locating a misplaced, lost, or stolen card is described. The location tracking device is embedded into the material forming the card. Other devices can form a crowdsourced network covering a wide geographic area that may be used to detect signals from the location tracking device of the card using a short-range wireless communication technology. When the card becomes misplaced, lost, or stolen, the card holder or the card issuer may use the embedded location tracking device to determine the current location of the card. In one embodiment, a tamper mechanism may also be provided to disable a chip of the card in response to an attempt to deactivate, destroy, or remove the embedded location tracking device from the card.

CONTROLLING ATM SURFACE ATTACKS LEVERAGING DECENTRALIZED SWARM INTELLIGENCE USING ATMS

A decentralized swarm intelligence algorithm over a network of paired ATMs to prevent or control surface attacks on ATMs. The ATMs may be seeded with an initial swarm intelligence model to identify suspicious activity. An ATM may relay alerts about suspicious activity at that ATM to other paired ATMs. The ATMs use machine learning to update the model and perform swarm intelligence autonomously at the paired ATMs. A bank may provide the initial swarm intelligence model, receive alerts about and analyze the attacks, and provide updated swarm intelligence models to prevent or limit future attacks. Smart contracts may be used to specify rules for performing swarm intelligence using the paired ATMs. Records regarding swarm intelligence models, attempted suspicious attacks including payment instruments that may have been used, actions taken in response to the attacks, and smart contracts may be recorded on a blockchain distributed ledger.

A system and method provide for enhanced in-lobby-teller (ILT) machines. A banking system includes a local switch, a bank core, a teller terminal, and an ILT machine. The teller terminal allows a bank teller to approve customer requests entered at an ILT. The ILT receives requests and determines if teller approval is needed for the request. If so, the request is forwarded to a teller/teller terminal. When approved, an indication is set in the banking request and the now approved request is sent back to the ILT machine. The ILT machine detects the approval indication and transmits the request to the external-partner switch. This switch returns the transaction request to the local bank switch for forwarding to the bank core. The core is may update account information associated with the banking request and then route it back to the ILT where any remaining tasks of the transaction request are completed.
