Automated teller machine (“ATM”) with forensic card reader identification validation
11640608 · 2023-05-02 · ·

An ATM equipped with forensic card reader identification validation is provided. The ATM may include a real ID card slot. The real ID card slot may accept real ID cards. The ATM may include a call communications module. The call communications module may communicate with a third-party network. Upon insertion of a real ID card at the ATM, the ATM may retrieve security details from the real ID card. The ATM may transmit the security details to the third-party network via the call communications module. The third-party network may verify the security details with one or more databases which are accessible by the third-party network. Upon failure to verify the security details, the third-party network may transmit a failed verification response to the ATM.

System for dynamic exception prioritization

A device includes a memory configured to store prioritization thresholds. The prioritization thresholds include one or both of threshold values and threshold ranges associated with an age and an amount of exceptions. A processor of the device receives exceptions associated with operation of at least a portion of the plurality of ATMs. For each exception of the plurality of exceptions, the processor determines, based on a comparison of an age property of the exception to an age threshold of the prioritization thresholds, an age score for the exception. The processor determines, based on a comparison of an amount property of the exception to an amount threshold of the prioritization thresholds, an amount score for the exception. Based on the age and amount scores, a prioritization score is determined for the exception which corresponds to a measure of an order in which action should be taken to resolve the exception.

Banking-Type Transactions
20230134777 · 2023-05-04 ·

In one embodiment, systems and techniques include receiving, by a transaction server and from an electronic device of a first user, a transaction request for a transaction between the first user and a second user. The transaction request includes an amount to be withdrawn from or deposited into a financial account of the second user and identifying information for the second user. The identifying information includes information from a form of identification provided at the electronic device. The techniques include identifying, via a mapping database associated with the transaction server, the financial account of the second user and a financial account of the first user. The techniques include adjusting, via the mapping database, respective monetary balances of the financial accounts based at least in part on the amount of the transaction. The techniques include transmitting, to at least one electronic device associated with the transaction, a confirmation message.

Dynamic configuration of an augmented reality overlay

A device may detect, in a field of view of a camera, one or more components of an automated teller machine (ATM) device using a computer vision technique based on generating a three dimensional model of the one or more components. The device may identify the ATM device as a particular device or as a particular type of device based on the one or more components of the ATM device, or first information related to the ATM device. The device may identify a set of tasks to be performed with respect to the ATM device. The device may provide, for display via a display associated with the device, second information associated with the set of tasks as an augmented reality overlay. The device may perform an action related to the set of tasks, the ATM device, or the augmented reality overlay.

Systems and methods for completing transactions via lockboxes

A method performed by a processor of a financial institution computing system includes allowing an account holder at the financial institution to initiate a transaction with the financial institution remotely (e.g., via smartphone, online banking, etc.), by submitting a request for a specified transaction to be picked up in a lockbox at a financial institution's lockbox location. The pickup and completion of the account holder's requested transaction occurs at a lockbox location that has a plurality of lockboxes. The lockbox allows the account holder to access the facility at the account holder's leisure, both in time and location. The lockbox pickup service alleviates the uncertainty, fluctuating time cost, and inconvenient operating hours by allowing the account holder to request transactions with an easy to use interface resulting in a lockbox to be accordingly prepared so that the account holder can provide the proper authentication information and access the lockbox.

Extensible Interface for Synchronous and Asynchronous Payment

An applications programming interface (API) or other interface may be configured for use with a plurality of e-commerce applications and/or a plurality of payment systems. The API may be associated with an operating system of a client or may be otherwise located in an e-commerce system or network. The API may receive a call regarding a purchase transaction. The purchase transaction may be examined to determine if a payment method is synchronous or asynchronous. An appropriate payment system may be activated to perform the purchase transaction based at least in part on the determination made by the examination of the purchase transaction. A result of the purchase transaction may be sent to the e-commerce program. By revision of the API, developers of e-commerce applications are freed from the burden of revising code in response to the need to utilize additional or differently operated payment systems.

Adaptive authentication

Systems and techniques for an adaptive authentication system are described herein. In an example, an adaptive authentication system is adapted to receive a request at a first entity from a second entity for secure data of a user, where the second entity is remote from the first entity. The adaptive authentication system may be further adapted to transmit a prompt to a user device associated with the user for authentication of the user and authentication of the request. The adaptive authentication system may be further adapted to receive a response to the prompt and authenticate the user and the request based on the response. The adaptive authentication system may be further adapted to transmit the secure data of the user to the second entity.

Methods and systems for routing transactions between automated teller machines, points of sale, financial institutions, and software wallets

A system and method for routing ATM transactions. A transaction request is received at an external application programming interface (API) associated with an account holder. The external API runs on a first processor. The transaction request is validated and authorized at the external API. Information about the transaction is forwarded from the external API to an internal API associated with an automated teller machine (ATM). The internal API runs on a second processor. A unique identifier is generated for the transaction request and provided to a user. The unique identifier is received from the user at the ATM without the user presenting any card and without connecting a mobile device of the user to the ATM. The unique identifier is provided from the ATM to the internal API to confirm a validity of the transaction. The transaction is implemented at the ATM by either dispensing cash or accepting a deposit.
