DRIVE-THROUGH TRANSACTION SYSTEM
A drive-through transaction system disposed within a drive-through window, the drive-through transaction system including a drawer assembly, including a drawer body, a tray movably disposed within at least a portion of the drawer body to receive at least one item thereon, and a plurality of cup holders disposed on and within at least a portion of the tray to receive at least one beverage cup therein, and a transaction device connected to the drawer assembly to receive input of an order and display a price of the order, such that the drawer body is ejected from the drive-through window in response to completion of the order.
A COIN HANDLING APPARATUS
A coin handling apparatus having: a first coin position; a second coin position; and a pipe for transporting coins from the first to the second coin position. The pipe is jointed and has a rigid, elongate element having a straight, elongate portion and a curved portion at a first end of the straight, elongate portion. The pipe further includes a rigid, curved element. The curved portion and the curved element are connected to define a continuous passageway through the curved element and the elongate element. The curved element, at least before mounting of the pipe in the coin handling apparatus, is rotatable in relation to the elongate element, such that an angle between a first opening of the curved element and a direction extending along the straight elongate portion is variable.
COMPACT SELF-CHECKOUT KIOSKS
A kiosk includes a kiosk housing, a barcode reader, a receipt printer, a display unit, and a processor communicatively coupled to the barcode reader, receipt printer, and display unit. The kiosk has a width less than or equal to 6¾ inches and the barcode reader, receipt printer, and processor are within the kiosk housing. The barcode reader has a reader housing, an imaging assembly, a window configured to allow a light to pass between a product scanning region and an interior region of the reader housing, and a set of optical components configured to direct a field-of-view of the imaging assembly through the window.
Systems and methods for cash-till optimization
To enable customer-facing transactions between merchants and customers that utilize cash designated as bank-owned cash (BOC), a monitoring server monitors quantities of cash within point-of-sale (POS) terminals, such as self-checkout terminals having cash verification systems therein, and monitors levels of cash within those POS terminals designated as BOC and for which the BOC cash is reflected within a financial institution account associated with the merchant. Upon execution of a cash transaction at a POS terminal involving BOC, the monitoring server updates quantities of cash stored within the POS terminal and provides data to a financial institution regarding the cash transaction.
Media sanitizing cassette and method of operation
A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.
Security flaps for use with cash trays and cash trays including such security flaps
Security flaps for use with cash trays and cash trays including such security flaps are disclosed. An apparatus includes a cash tray having a base and a plurality of walls that extend from the base and define a plurality of paper-currency compartments. A plurality of distal edges of the walls define openings of the paper-currency compartments. A spring-biased security flap is coupled to the cash tray and adapted to engage or be immediately adjacent the distal edges of the walls of at least one of the paper-currency compartments to cover the corresponding opening.
STAND WITH DUAL PURPOSE RJ12 INTERFACE
Some embodiments include a stand that includes a communication interface, a universal serial bus (USB) microcontroller, and one dual purpose RJ12 interface configured to switch between a cash drawer mode and an RS232 mode. The stand can be configured to be coupled to a main display device. The main display device (e.g., an application running on the main display device) can enable selection of the cash drawer mode for communications via the dual purpose RJ12 interface, and receive an input signal after the selection. The main display device can enable selection of the RS232 mode for communications via the dual purpose RJ12 interface based on the input signal and transmit an indication to the stand, where the dual purpose RJ12 interface is configured to operate in the RS232 mode. The stand can include a hinge structure that enables the main display device to be flipped to face an opposite direction.
Direct-scan cash-management systems and methods
The invention provided herein generally relates to devices, systems, and methods for handling cash or quasi-cash items in such a way as to substantially eliminate employee theft, error, or difficulties in reconciling a record of transactions with a total amount of money in a cash drawer. The invention also provides devices, systems, and methods for cash-collateralized electronic banking.
RECEIVING STRUCTURE AND AUTOMATIC FEEDING SYSTEM
A receiving structure providing real-time information as to the materials constituting its contents includes a box body, a first side plate, and a second side plate. The box body, the first side plate, and the second side plate forming a receiving space, and the receiving space receives materials. A discharge port is formed between the second side plate and the first side plate, the discharge port is in communication with the receiving space, and the discharge port is configured to take out the material. A material checking unit is provided on the first side plate, the material checking unit detects and enables real time identification of the materials in the receiving structure.
COMMODITY-DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS
A commodity-data processing apparatus includes a housing, a printer unit mounted in the housing and movable between a housed position at which the printer unit fits in a printer housing space and a drawn-out position, and a controller. The printer unit includes a cover that is movable between a closed position and an open position when the printer unit is at the drawn-out position and not movable between the closed position and the open position when the printer unit is at the housed position. The controller is configured to determine whether the cover is moved from the open position to the closed position, determine whether or not the printer unit is ready for printing, upon determining that the cover is moved from the open position to the closed position, and enable receipt printing by the printing unit, upon determining that the printer unit is ready for printing.
