EVENT ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM
An event administration system has a kiosk with a display and a user input. The kiosk has an event participant system and an administrator system in communication with each other. The administrator system allows an administrator to set sale parameters. The event participant system allows the event participant to make a purchasing decision based upon the set sale parameters of the administrator system. The set sale parameters are configured to allow a purchase of at least one sales item. A payment receiver for receiving payment from the event participant is provided. A scanning device is configured to receive information from the event participant. A ticket delivery system is provided for providing tickets to the event participant after a purchase has been made. The ticket delivery system provides a predetermined number of tickets based upon the set sale parameters and the purchasing decisions of the event participant.
SETTLEMENT SYSTEM AND SETTLEMENT METHOD
To perform a transaction by cash payment in a store that does not manage cash for transactions, a settlement system, which performs a settlement for a monetary amount of the transaction when the transaction is performed with a customer in a store, is configured with: a registration apparatus installed in the store and configured to register transaction information including a transaction amount of the transaction at the time of the transaction with the customer; and a cash handling apparatus installed outside the store and configured to receive for a payment process of the transaction amount that is included in the transaction information of the customer registered by the registration apparatus and identified for the payment process, and to perform a checking process for indicating that the payment process on the transaction information has been completed.
Self-service checkout counter
A self-service checkout counter is disclosed. In implementations of the present specification, the checkout counter includes a countertop for holding at least one product; a lighting panel disposed opposite to the countertop, wherein the lighting panel comprises at least one light source that provides lighting to items placed on the countertop; a pole that connects the countertop and the lighting panel, and supports the lighting panel; and a plurality of cameras that shoot images of items placed on the countertop, wherein the images are used to perform product identification and pricing and at least a part of the plurality of cameras are disposed on the lighting panel.
Self-service checkout counter
A self-service checkout counter is disclosed. In implementations of the present specification, the checkout counter includes a countertop for holding at least one product; a lighting panel disposed opposite to the countertop, wherein the lighting panel comprises at least one light source that provides lighting to items placed on the countertop; a pole that connects the countertop and the lighting panel, and supports the lighting panel; and a plurality of cameras that shoot images of items placed on the countertop, wherein the images are used to perform product identification and pricing and at least a part of the plurality of cameras are disposed on the lighting panel.
Method and apparatus for money item processing
Described herein is a method comprising performing optical character recognition on at least one region of a display screen to determine at least one displayed character; identifying, from the determined at least one displayed character, a monetary value to be dispensed; and in response to identifying the monetary value to be dispensed, causing to be dispensed at least one money item corresponding to the identified monetary value. Further described is a method comprising determining, using at least one money item denominating apparatus, a monetary value of at least one received money item; in response to determining the monetary value, automatically providing at least one simulated user input to the interactive user interface indicative of the determined monetary value.

Systems and methods for integrating online and in-store shopping are disclosed. The systems include a cashier station located in a store. The cashier station has a register, a product ID input device, and a screen accessible to a customer at the cashier station. An online site configured to facilitate ecommerce transactions between users and the store is also provided. The cashier station is in communication with the online store whereby recommended products are presented to the customer on the screen in response to the input of a product ID at the cashier station allowing the customer to make additional related purchases from the online site contemporaneously with the in-store purchase.

In accordance with an embodiment, a payment terminal includes a display, a memory device, and a controller. Upon payment for a commodity to be purchased by a customer, information associated with one or more types of payment applications and code symbols are read from the memory device, and the display is caused to display the read information associated with the payment applications and the read code symbols such that the customer is capable of recognizing the read information associated with the payment applications and the read code symbols.
ACCOUNTING DEVICE AND CONTROL PROGRAM
An accounting device according to an embodiment includes an input device that receives an instruction to start a job. A first display device includes a first screen facing a first direction towards a person who operates the input device. A change machine includes a depositing port for receiving money and a dispensing port for dispensing money. A second display device includes a second screen facing a second direction different from the first direction and towards a person who deposits money into the depositing port or receives money from the dispensing port. When the instruction received by the input device is to start a predetermined job that is different from the accounting transaction and that includes depositing money into the change machine or dispensing money from the change machine, the processor causes information supporting execution of the predetermined job to be displayed on the second screen.
