Examples provide a tag manager component that identifies a plurality of stationary RFID tags located within a three-dimensional space outside an item display area based on an analysis of RFID tag data associated with the plurality of RFID tag readers. A zone detection component analyzes item data associated with a plurality of items corresponding to the plurality of stationary RFID tags and location data associated with the three-dimensional space using a set of per-item criteria. The set of per-item criteria includes a per-item minimum threshold number of items per unit of three-dimensional space and/or a minimum threshold stationary time-period. A verification component analyzes sensor data and/or transaction data to verify whether the three-dimensional space is a termination zone. If the three-dimensional space is a termination zone, an inventory manager component removes the plurality of items from perpetual inventory.

According to an embodiment, a payment apparatus stores, where deposit data is stored in a transaction memory, cash payment data including a cash payment amount used to pay a total amount of a deposit amount included in the deposit data, in the transaction memory. The payment apparatus creates, on the basis of information regarding a transaction stored in the transaction memory, receipt data including information regarding the total amount and the cash payment amount.

A mobile registration terminal operable by a customer in a store includes a memory, a display, a scanner through which a commodity sold at the store or a medium storing clerk information about a clerk of the store is scanned, and a processor. The processor is configured to, when a commodity is scanned through the scanner, determine whether the commodity is an age-restricted commodity, upon determining that the commodity is not an age-restricted commodity, register the commodity, and upon determining that the commodity is an age-restricted commodity, control the display to display a screen through which an age of the customer is verified by a clerk of the store, and upon receipt of an input of clerk information about a clerk through the scanner, store the clerk information in the memory for checkout of the commodity without further verification of the age of the customer.

A mobile registration terminal operable by a customer in a store includes a memory, a display, a scanner through which a commodity sold at the store or a medium storing clerk information about a clerk of the store is scanned, and a processor. The processor is configured to, when a commodity is scanned through the scanner, determine whether the commodity is an age-restricted commodity, upon determining that the commodity is not an age-restricted commodity, register the commodity, and upon determining that the commodity is an age-restricted commodity, control the display to display a screen through which an age of the customer is verified by a clerk of the store, and upon receipt of an input of clerk information about a clerk through the scanner, store the clerk information in the memory for checkout of the commodity without further verification of the age of the customer.

A register machine of a register machine network including the register machine and a plurality of other register machines, comprises a network communication interface through data are transmitted to and received from the other register machines, a display device, an input device, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to control the network communication interface to receive, from a registration apparatus, product registration information generated by the registration apparatus, execute checkout processing for the received product registration information, determine whether an abnormality occurs in the register machine that prevents completion of the checkout processing, when the abnormality is determined to occur, control the display device to display a register machine selection screen that displays the other register machines, at least one of which is selectable, receive, via the input device, an input selecting one of the other register machines, and control the network communication interface to cause the product registration information to be transmitted to the selected one of the other register machines.

A register machine of a register machine network including the register machine and a plurality of other register machines, comprises a network communication interface through data are transmitted to and received from the other register machines, a display device, an input device, and a control unit. A store management server configured to communicate with an alert device installed in a store, includes a network interface and a processor configured to identify a customer entering the store, acquire customer information about the identified customer, detect that the customer is holding a commodity in the store, acquire sales restriction information about the commodity held by the customer, determine whether the customer is eligible to buy the commodity held by the customer based on the acquired customer information and sales restriction information, and control the network interface to transmit, when it is not determined that the customer is eligible to buy the commodity, a first command to an alert device. One method comprising: receiving first identification data of a vehicle from a road side unit of an electronic toll collection (ETC) system, wherein the first identification data comprises identification information of the vehicle; receiving transaction data of a fuel dispenser, wherein the transaction data comprises information determined based on the fuel dispenser of a refueling fee of the vehicle; determining identity information of an owner of the vehicle; and transmitting the identity information and the information of the refueling fee to a server.

According to one or more embodiments, a sales data processing apparatus includes a display device, a generating unit, an output unit, and a settlement processing unit. The generating unit generates display data for displaying information on the display device and an information terminal. The output unit outputs the display data to the information terminal. The settlement processing unit executes accounting processing for a transaction based on operation information received from the information terminal in response to displayed information displayed according to the display data from the output unit.
