[Problem] To provide a technology enabling accurate recognition of an occupancy status of each seat, while reducing entire system cost.

[Solution] A server device 20 (information processing device) includes: a vacant seat information creation unit 210 configured to create vacant seat information indicating a vacant seat in a seat space, by processing an image received from an imaging means for capturing an image of the seat space; a seat selection unit 220 for performing a process of selecting a seat to be used by a customer, by the use of the vacant seat information and in collaboration with a POS (Point of Sale) device (shop terminal 30) for handling payment for an item; and a seat information output unit 230 for outputting information indicating the selected seat.

Inflight entertainment system that selects among passenger electronic devices for connection based on power measurements

An inflight entertainment system for use in an aircraft displays commands to a passenger to move a passenger electronic device (PED) between locations defined relative a seatback display device and the passenger's seat. The system measures received signal strength indications (RSSIs) from discoverable PEDs over time while the PED is moved between the locations, and selects one of the PEDs that satisfies a defined rule for an amount of change that is observed over time in the measured RSSIs for that PED. The system then establishes a connection through a Bluetooth transceiver with a Bluetooth transceiver of the selected PED.

Restroom stall occupancy indicator system

The restroom stall occupancy indicator system includes a latch coupled to a stall door and movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. A sensor is responsive to selected positioning of the latch and communications the position information to a transmitter. The transmitter then relays the position information to a receiver coupled to an indicator. The indicator, in turn, is responsive to the received position information to provide a first visual identification when the latch is in the unlocked position and a second visual identification when the latch is in the locked position.

System For Identifying A Seat Location

A system includes a set of passenger seat devices in a transport unit and a control unit. In order to permit an identification of seat locations to be changeable, a communication unit exchanges data between the set of passenger seat devices and the control unit. The control unit is provided in order to detect a current seat location arrangement as a function of data of the set of passenger seat devices. A method for seat location identification in a transport unit with a set of passenger seat devices is also provided.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE MOBILE VISUAL DISPLAY AND MODIFICATION OF BED MANAGEMENT INFORMATION AND PATIENT PLACEMENT INFORMATION
20180082225 · 2018-03-22 ·

An apparatus and method for using a mobile computer device for graphically displaying and modifying information in a manner to enhance comprehension of the information and allowing for the mobile and decentralized management of information to be accomplished, wherein such information may be related to bed management and patient placement information and, furthermore, enabling the information of interest to be organized, sorted, and used in various useful and novel ways.

METHOD FOR ASSIGNING A USER PROFILE OF A USER TO A SEAT IN A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOBILE UNIT AND MOTOR VEHICLE
20180063277 · 2018-03-01 ·

A method for assigning a user profile of a user to a seat in a motor vehicle by at least one mobile unit, wherein the mobile unit has at least one identifier and a sensor arrangement for detecting at least one translational and/or rotational degree of freedom, wherein the mobile unit transmits the identifier to the motor vehicle, wherein the mobile unit or the motor vehicle evaluates the data from the sensor arrangement as to whether a boarding movement into a motor vehicle is occurring, wherein the motor vehicle or the mobile unit by the data of a door opening sensor arrangement, assigns the boarding movement to a seat assigned to a vehicle door, wherein the user profile is then assigned to the seat. Also disclosed is a mobile unit and a motor vehicle.

Identifying a seat position with infrared light

A seating area system for use in a seating area where the seats have respectively associated radiation emitting devices (for example, infrared light emitting diodes) to help people find their seats through a camera type display on their mobile devices. Upon request from an end user, a server system turns on the radiation emitting device, associated with the end user's request, for a limited time.

Method For Guiding Passengers

A method in conjunction with a passenger guidance system guides a passenger to a passenger seat disposed in a vehicle. In order to guide a passenger quickly and reliably to a passenger seat which corresponds to his needs and is disposed in a vehicle, and to improve the flow of passengers, it is proposed to determine occupation states of passenger seats of the vehicle and to guide the passenger to an unoccupied passenger seat. For carrying out the method, a passenger guidance system is proposed which has at least one device for determining the occupation state of passenger seats arranged in a vehicle, at least one evaluation device which is configured to determine a destination to which a passenger is to be guided, and a transmission device by which data which are suitable for indicating a path to the destination can be transmitted to at least one display device.

COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING SEAT OCCUPANCY AND GUIDING USERS TO PREFERABLE SEATS IN A DEFINED SPACE
20170169671 · 2017-06-15 ·

A system and method for determining seat occupancy and guiding users to preferable seats in a defined space are described herein. The system comprises a plurality of load cells, wherein each of the load cells is attached to a seat to detect a weight, a repository to store a predetermined set of rules, a predetermined load value and a seat occupancy map, a first comparator configured to compares the signals generated by the load cells with a predetermined load value to determine the occupied seats. A second comparator is configured to identify seats that ought to have been occupied, based on the determined occupied seats and stored pre-determined seat occupied seat. Further, the system comprises a display to display the occupied seats and the unoccupied seats that ought to have been occupied. The input module accepts from the user with the help of the handheld device, a preferable seat from the displayed map. The seat locator identifies location of the preferable seat on the map and the user locator identifies location of the user. The path identifier then identifies a path from the user location to the preferable seat and the navigator navigates the user to follow the path to reach the preferable seat.
