Methods and devices provide physiological movement detection, such as gesture, breathing, cardiac and/or gross body motion, with active sound generation such as for an interactive audio device. The processor may evaluate, via a microphone coupled to the interactive audio device, a sensed audible verbal communication. The processor may control producing, via a speaker coupled to the processor, a sound signal in a user's vicinity. The processor may control sensing, via a microphone coupled to the processor, a reflected sound signal. This reflected sound signal is a reflection of the generated sound signal from the vicinity or user. The processor may process the reflected sound, such as by a demodulation technique, to derive a physiological movement signal. The processor may generate, in response to the sensed audible verbal communication, an output based on an evaluation of the derived physiological movement signal.

The back-end system remotely connects to a third-party system using the third-party module and the authentication module authenticates the connection relative to the same user. The back-end system receives data from the local system and the third-party system, the machine learning module analyzes the data to determine one or more rules which identify water usage as intended or unintended, and the alerts module provides an alert to one or more of the local system, the third-party system, or a client device when the water monitoring device measures water flow data which indicates a leak according to the one or more rules.

Healthcare communication method having configurable alarm rules

A system that monitors various conditions of a plurality of hospital beds located in different rooms of a healthcare facility is provided. Alternatively or additionally, other types of equipment may be monitored by the system. Various configurations of network interface units that are coupleable to or integrated into a hospital bed are also disclosed. The system receives data from the hospital beds and/or other equipment and initiates a communication to a wireless communication device of at least one designated caregiver in response to the received data being indicative of an alarm condition.

In one embodiment, the method includes tracking incidents that occur within a predetermined geographic area in relation to a subscription service, upon receiving a request for a list of incidents in relation to the predetermined geographic area, generating a notification comprising the requested list of incidents, and sending the notification to one or more subscribers within the predetermined geographic area.

Leak monitoring, alarm and control system for machinery stuffing boxes

A stuffing box leak detection system utilizes a reflective member on the outside surface of the stuffing box. A photoelectric sensor emits a light beam which is directed at the reflective member and a reflective beam is reflected back to the photoelectric sensor by the reflective member. A processor is connected to the photoelectric sensor, where the processor is configured to detect a change in intensity of the reflected beam. Upon detecting a change in the intensity of the reflected beam, the processor activates a trip alarm. Notifications of the trip alarm may be distributed to pre-selected recipients. The processor may also activate a camera directed at the stuffing box to provide still images or live stream video to recipients.

The head motion detection module collects relative changes of a head position through an aerial attitude sensor. The eyelid blinking detection module collects a movement distance and a movement duration of an eyelid through a photoelectric motion sensor. When the movement distance of the eyelid reaches a preset distance and the movement duration of the eyelid is longer than a preset duration, a confirmation command is generated to select one of multiple call services in a scroll menu, and the one of the multiple call services selected by the patient is sent to the nurse station display screen by a wired network or a wireless network.
