ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE FOR TREATING WATER
An electrochemical water softening device is described comprising a containment module where bicarbonates are removed by solid-phase precipitation in a basic environment and by conversion into carbon dioxide in an acidic environment.
WATER CONTAINER WITH FLOATABLE FILTER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A portable drinking water filter system, such as a pitcher, having a sleeve and a floatable body including a filter opening configured to receive a water filter, the floatable body having a seal extending outward from an outer surface of the floatable body. The floatable body is disposed in a sleeve cavity such that a body seal engages the sidewall and restricts water from passing between the floatable body and the sidewall. The seal is configured to create friction with the sidewall, wherein the friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is different than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve. The friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is greater than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve, allowing the floatable body to auto-retract toward a cavity base without burping.
Filter assembly for a beverage dispenser
A filter assembly includes a vent system. The vent system includes an inner standpipe, a check valve, an outer standpipe and a cover. A sidewall of the check valve extends around the inner standpipe, and an end wall of the check valve is positioned over the inner standpipe. A sidewall of the cover extends around the outer standpipe, and an end wall of the cover is positioned over the outer standpipe.
Filtration unit for use in machine for preparing ready-to-drink nutritional liquids
Filtration unit (12) for use in a beverage preparation machine using a container for preparing the beverage; the unit being adapted to engage a container holder (3) intended to be inserted in the machine; said filtration unit comprising a filter (14) and a protective casing (12) encompassing the filter; said casing comprising an inlet wall with at least one liquid inlet (24) and an outlet wall with at least one liquid outlet (25) for delivering filtered liquid to a container lodged in the container holder wherein the filter (14) is arranged in a removable manner from the casing.
Method and device for operating a coffee machine and/or tea machine with fully softened water
The invention relates to a method and a device for preventing the blocking of the brew group, the filter holder or the coffee filter (8) in coffee machines when using fully softened water for the preparation of coffee. According to the invention, it is proposed to avoid the blocking of the machine by metering calcium and magnesium ions to the fully softened water. According to the invention this is achieved in that a device with a bag or reservoir (4) containing the calcium and magnesium ion containing solution, is positioned in a cartridge (3), which is arranged in the water tank of the coffee machine. The bag is in contact with the fully softened water via a capillary (5), which is closed with a check valve (6).
FILTER ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN A FLUID CONTAINER OF A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
A filter assembly (10) which is suitable for use in a fluid container (1) of a domestic appliance comprises a filter element (30) and a filter housing (40) for delimiting a portion (8) of a fluid container (1) in which a fluid retrieval pipe (4) is present and in which the filter element (30) is to be arranged, the filter housing (40) being adapted to let fluid into the delimited portion (8) of the fluid container (1) and to direct a fluid flow from an inlet position (41) to an inlet (5) of the fluid retrieval pipe (4) through the filter element (30), the filter element (30) being configured for at least partially enclosing the fluid retrieval pipe (4), and the filter element (30) having a filter medium and a semi-permeable skin for at least partially enclosing the filter medium.
Lid for filter-as-you-pour container system
The invention relates to lid bodies configured to be used in filter-as-you-pour systems, where filtering is achieved as the user pours water from the container. Such lid bodies may be releasably attachable to the filter assembly through complementary locking structures of the lid body and the filter assembly so that the lid body may be selectively and releasably attached to the filter assembly. The lid bodies may also comprise a locking structure that is configured to releasably engage with a complementary locking structure of a container body. The lid bodies may also be configured to be directly connected to filter assemblies.
Water filter device
A filter device is provided for use with bottles and comprises a multistage filter useful for removing from the water, chlorine and fluoride compounds, hormones, pesticides, prescription drugs and microorganisms. The filter device operates by placing a suction on a mouthpiece of said filter device to draw water through the multistage filter to clean it. An optional flavor cartridge may be provided with said multistage filter.
Infusion Apparatus
A water filter and infusion pitcher apparatus includes a pitcher housing, a water filter disposed within the pitcher housing, and an infusion apparatus disposed inside the pitcher housing and detachably connected to the water filter. The infusion apparatus constructed to contain and/or hold material such as, for example fruit, vegetables, tea, medicines, flavorings, vitamins, minerals, and/or other items to infuse, seep, and/or dissolve into a liquid within the pitcher housing.
