Method and apparatus for tracking objects and people
An object locating, identifying, tracking, and surveillance system, denoted the Assets Locating, Tracking, and Surveillance System (ALTSS), is provided for managing physical objects and evidence in environments such as police departments, law offices, and the Courts. ALTSS employs radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, computer programming and database applications, networking technologies, and hardware elements. ALTSS may locate and track physical evidence, merchandise, information carriers like files, folders or individual pieces of paper, and people, under certain conditions, in near-real time. It may be configured as part of a local area network, a wide area network, or the Internet. ALTSS may employ exemplary components such as RFID transponders, scanners, strategically located antennas and computers to facilitate tracking of objects and people as needed. Any number of users having access privileges and connected to the network may access ALTSS directly or remotely via the Internet to locate and track evidence or objects.
Monitor and a method for monitoring a baby in a vehicle
A method for monitoring, the method may include constantly operating, within one or more sensing periods, a microphone and a trigger sensor of a monitor that is installed in a vehicle, even when an processor of the monitor is asleep; receiving by the microphone, while the processor is asleep, initial audio signals; converting the initial audio signals to initial electrical signals representative of the initial audio signals; searching, by the trigger sensor and in the initial electrical signals, for a voice trigger that is related to a sound made by the baby; when finding the voice trigger then awakening the processor; searching, by the processor, for the sound made by the baby in at least one out of the initial audio signals, and following audio signals. When finding the sound made by the baby then executing a baby in vehicle response.
Infant monitoring system
A monitoring system includes a sensor, a processing block and an alert generator. The sensor is used to generate images of an infant. The processing block processes one or more of the images and identifies a condition with respect to the infant. Then alert generator causes generation of an alert signal if the identified condition warrants external notification. In an embodiment, the sensor is a 3D camera, and the 3D camera, the processing block and the alert generator are part of a unit placed in the vicinity of the infant. The monitoring system further includes microphones and motion sensors to enable detection of sounds and movement.
System for missing person and stolen property search
A system for missing person and stolen property search by remotely logging surveillance data transmitted by an RFID tag attached to the missing person or attached to the stolen property where the RFID tag in close proximity to vehicles; wherein the vehicles receive and store the surveillance data to make a real time connection between the vehicles and the RFID tag; the system comprising: a first in-vehicle apparatus on-board civilian vehicles; a second in-vehicle apparatus on-board law enforcement vehicles; an RFID tag attached to a person or attached to a portable property; wherein the first in-vehicle apparatus is configured to wirelessly communicate with the RFID tag to receive data associated with the RFID tag.
System for locations surveillance by remotely logging surveillance data transmitted by vehicles
A system for locations surveillance by remotely logging surveillance data transmitted by a vehicle when the vehicle's speed is under a threshold value while coming to a halt in close proximity to a surveillance data logger; the system comprising: a first in-vehicle apparatus on-board civilian vehicles; a second in-vehicle apparatus on-board law enforcement vehicles; a surveillance data logger installed at a location; wherein the surveillance data logger is configured to wirelessly communicate with the first in-vehicle apparatus to receive data associated with the vehicle.
Security and tracking systems and associated methods
Security and tracking systems disclosed herein include a server coupled with a database, a computing device coupled with the database and including a display, and a wearable recording device (device) configured to record audio and video, the device having an identifier associated with the user through the database. One or more user interfaces are displayed on the display and include one or more inputs configured to associate the identifier with the user through the database. The wearable recording device may be an earring. Some security and tracking systems include a tracking device (tracker) having at least one sharp end, the tracker configured to be insertable into a hem or fold of a clothing item, the tracker having an identifier associated with the user through the database using inputs on one or more user interfaces displayed on the display, the tracker including a visual display of the identifier.
Child safety assembly
A child safety assembly includes a wristband that is selectively worn around a child's wrist. A lock is movably coupled to the wristband and the lock is selectively manipulated. The lock is selectively positioned in a locked position to retain the wristband on the wrist. The lock is selectively positioned in an unlocked position to facilitate the wristband to be removed from the wrist. An alert unit is coupled to the wristband and the alert unit is in thermal communication with the wristband's environment. The alert unit selectively emits an audible alarm and the alert unit is in wireless electrical communication with an electronic device. The alert unit emits the audible alarm when the alert unit detects a temperature of the wristband's environment falls below or rises above a trigger temperature. In this way the alert unit alerts a caregiver to a potential hazard with respect to the child.
Identifier device
An identification device that can be adjustably fit around an object or person whose identity is to be monitored includes an electrically conductive identification strap; electrically conductive locking means designed for adjustable circular locking of the identification strap around a predetermined part of the object or person whose location is to be monitored, thus forming a closed electrical circuit when the electrically conductive identification band and the locking means are both in the working or closed position; and a wireless communications transceiver module designed to establish communication with at least one transceiver module mounted in a different identification device fit onto a different object or person, wherein a first transceiver module executes a linking procedure by radio transmission of identification data streams to at least one other transceiver module in listening mode to receive the identification data stream transmitted from the first identification device.
Method and Apparatus for Locating a Device
The object of this invention is a unique method and apparatus for locating a lost article. In one embodiment, a target electronic device is provided. A second electronic device may also be provided and include hardware configured to receive and recognize a wireless signal and also to emit a wireless signal. A transmission medium may also be provided to facilitate communication between the target electronic device and the second electronic device. In another embodiment there may be a plurality of target electron-tic devices, second electronic devices, and transmission mediums.
INFANT MONITORING SYSTEM WITH OBSERVATION-BASED SYSTEM CONTROL AND FEEDBACK LOOPS
A method of optimizing sleep of a subject using smart-home devices may include operating a smart-home system that is configured to operate in a normal mode and a sleep mode. The method may also include determining that the smart-home system should transition into the sleep mode. The smart-home devices may use a set of default parameters when operating in the sleep mode. The method may additionally include monitoring, while in the sleep mode, a sleep cycle of the subject using the smart-home devices. The method may further include detecting behavior of the subject that indicates that the sleep cycle of the subject is being interrupted or about to be interrupted, determining an environmental control that corresponds with the behavior of the subject, and adjusting the environmental control using the smart-home devices to prevent or stop the sleep cycle of the subject from being interrupted.
