EMERGENCY AUTOMATED GUNSHOT LOCKDOWN SYSTEM (EAGL)
The Emergency Automatic Gunshot Lockdown (EAGL) System detects gunshots and executes at least one predetermined adaptive response action, such as notifying law enforcement of an active shooter, providing access control measures such as locking down soft target areas, and alerting building occupants of an active shooter situation. A gunshot is detected and verified using a triple validation system. Once a firearm is discharged, the EAGL system sends real time data to building officials, law enforcement, and building occupants notifying them of an active shooter situation. Simultaneously, predetermined commands are sent to access control devices for perimeter, office, classroom, and other soft target areas to lockdown and stay secure, to keep the shooter from entering these soft target areas, and to prevent shooter from entering other buildings.
Vehicle state monitoring device and vehicle state monitoring system
One aspect of the present invention is a vehicle state monitoring device including: a transmission unit configured to wirelessly transmit a state signal providing a notification of a vehicle state; a power generator fixed to the vehicle body, and comprising a vibration power generation element configured to perform vibration power generation by vibration from the vehicle body; and a controller configured to start up the transmission unit when power generated by the vibration power generation is supplied from the power generator, and configured to wirelessly transmit the state signal to the transmission unit.
Systems and methods for enabling delivery of commercial products to customers
In some embodiments, systems and methods are provided herein useful to enable delivery of commercial products to customers. In some embodiments, the system comprises an autonomous ground vehicle on a delivery route to deliver commercial products to a person of interest. The AGV comprises control circuits communicatively coupled to sensors. The control circuits, using sensor data, determines whether a person positioned within a threshold distance relative to the AGV is the PoI; allow the PoI to designate an intention of a second person positioned within the threshold distance as being friendly or adverse relative to the PoI; determine the intention of the second person; receive a command from the PoI overriding the determination that the second person's intention is adverse to the PoI; and allow the PoI to take possession of the commercial products when the designated intention is friendly relative to the PoI and the command is received.
Device for controlling a closure system of an article and corresponding article
A monitor device is provided for monitoring the closed or open state of an article, the monitor device being an electronic circuit having a first closure system having first and second electrically conductive elements that are electrically connectable and disconnectable relative to each other. The first element has a hollow body; and an electrical power supply housed in the hollow body. A second closure system has a first terminal and a second terminal. The monitor device also has a detector-and-signaling device having both a detector module configured to be powered by the power supply when the first closure system is in the closed state and to detect the open or closed state of the second closure system. A signaling module is configured to issue a signal as a function of the open or closed state of the second closure system as detected by the detector module.
WEARABLE PERSONAL SAFETY DEVICES AND METHODS OF OPERATING THE SAME
A method includes detecting an event at a wearable mobile device, generating an alert in response to the event, and transmitting the alert over a communication path that comprises a cellular network. The wearable mobile device, such as a watch, necklace, bracelet, and the like, includes a safety module/application. The safety module/application may incorporate both event detection via one or more sensing or recordation modules and notification functionality. Emergency contacts, including public safety organizations, family members, friends, and the like may be notified in a variety of ways based on the particular event that is detected.
REMOTE ALERT GENERATION BASED ON TRIGGER EVENTS INDICATING ATTACK
A method and apparatus for detecting a crime is presented. The apparatus includes a Portable Wireless Communications Device having a processor, a memory, a location determination chip, a camera, a microphone, a speaker, a wireless communications circuitry, and a coupling site. The apparatus also includes a connector having a first portion that detachably couples to the coupling site and a second portion that attaches to a person or an item worn by a person, wherein the portable wireless communications device automatically transmits an alert upon sensing a detachment of the connector from the coupling site. When an attack happens, the sudden motion or jerk causes the connector to detach from the coupling site, causing an alert transmission. The alert may be sent to a predesignated phone number or email address so that there is immediate notification of a crime. An alert phrase may be used instead of detachment.
MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR DEACTIVATING A ZIPPER ALARM
Embodiments relate to a security system for securing items within any cavity, of any object, which may be opened or closed with a zipper. The security system includes functionality to detect the opening and/or detect the closing of a zipper. The security system may be configured to trigger an alarm if the zipper is opened while the security system is in an armed state. The security system may be configured to not trigger the alarm if the zipper is opened while the security system is in a disarmed state. The security system may be armed and/or disarmed via a wireless signal.
MOBILE SIGNALEINHEIT, MOBILE BEDIENEINHEIT SOWIE MOBILES ABWEHRSYSTEM
A mobile signal unit is responsive to a mobile operating unit yet sufficiently compact and lightweight for unobtrusive connection to an item of clothing, a purse, and/or a backpack. It has a siren powered by gas or electricity. It has a wireless first interface, through which the siren can be remotely activated and/or deactivated by the mobile operating unit. The siren can be activated manually by an activation command that matches an activation code stored in a memory unit of the signal unit and/or the operating unit. The siren is automatically activated after the wireless connection to the operating unit if a connection signal strength of the operating unit falls below a threshold and/or the wireless connection to the operating unit is interrupted.
Enhanced audiovisual analytics
A monitoring system that is configured to monitor a property includes a camera that is configured to capture video data of the property. The monitoring system further includes a microphone that is configured to capture audio data of the property. The monitoring system further includes a monitor control unit that is configured to access and analyze the video data. The monitor control unit is further configured to determine that an alarm condition does not exist at the property. The monitor control unit is further configured to access and analyze the audio data. The monitor control unit is further configured to override the determination that an alarm condition does not exist at the property. The monitor control unit is further configured to, based on overriding the determination that an alarm condition does not exist at the property, perform a monitoring system action.
Systems and methods for commissioning a security system
Systems and methods are provided that can include receiving a plurality of cause and effect rules for a security system that protects a secured area, simulating a plurality of cause and effect rules responsive to user input identifying an emergency event in one of a plurality of zones of the secured area, and during simulation, displaying on a graphical user interface a first indicator that identifies a first output of a first of the plurality of cause and effect rules within a first of the plurality of zones.
