SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRE-DROWNING AND DROWNING DETECTION
System and method for detection of pre-drowning and drowning events based on underwater and exterior images in and around a swimming area.
Floating apparatus for alerting people of the presence of voltage in water
A floating apparatus for alerting people of the presence of voltage in water. When the floating apparatus is placed in water and in an active state, it detects when at least a threshold level of voltage is present in the water and generates an alert signal in response to detecting the threshold level of voltage is present. The floating apparatus may detect the threshold level of voltage is present without requiring that a ground wire be connected between an electrical circuit of the floating apparatus and a fixed structure exterior of the water such as soil surrounding the water.
Swimming pool monitoring
A computer implemented method including receiving, by a monitoring system that is configured to monitor a property and from an electronic pool device that is configured to monitor a swimming pool at the property, sensor data, analyzing, by the monitoring system, the sensor data, based on analyzing the sensor data, generating, by the monitoring system, an instruction to activate a camera of the electronic pool device, providing, by the monitoring system to the electronic pool device, the instruction to activate the camera, receiving, by the monitoring system from the electronic pool device, image data, analyzing, by the monitoring system, the image data, based on analyzing the image data, identifying a monitoring system action to perform, and performing the monitoring system action.

Drowning prevention and soothing device
A wearable combination drowning prevention and soothing device is operable in either a drowning prevention mode or a soothing mode. In the drowning prevention mode the device monitors a wearer's heart rate and a moisture sensor to determine when, and how long, the device is submerged. Upon occurrence of a condition of those parameters meeting a predefined state consistent with distress, the device transmits an alert signal to an associated mobile device. In the soothing mode the device likewise monitors the wearer's heartrate as well as movements, and upon an indication in those monitored parameter that the wearer may be agitated, the device plays selected audio over a speaker of the device in an attempt to soothe the wearer.
MAN OVER BOARD DETECTION SYSTEM
A Man Over Board (MOB) system includes sensor units located around a periphery of a vessel, an interconnector unit communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensor units and configured to receive data from the sensors, a data fusion processing unit, and a control station. The data fusion processing unit is configured to receive the data from the sensor units via the interconnector unit, compile the data from the sensor units, and trigger a MOB warning based on the compiled data. The control station is located at a bridge of the vessel and configured to display the MOB warning and at least a portion of the compiled data from the sensor units via a video verification interface and receive verification input from a human operator via the video verification interface to confirm a MOB event.

Life Guard Buddie
A combination of an oxygen sensor with an alarm that will sound when water is detected in the airways or lungs of a person swimming. The alarm can be heard up to 100 yards away from the location of the victim, and a GPS system linked to a phone app will help to pinpoint the location of the victim for rescuers. It can be attached to a person's body or worn like a necklace.
WEARABLE ALARM SYSTEM INCORPORATING PHASED-ARRAY RADAR WATER SENSING
A safety system comprised of safety devices each worn by a caretaker and up to three people requiring minding, that alerts using color coded LED lights and audible tones when a monitored person is in danger. The device alerts if the person is beyond a preset distance, is close to or is in a body of water, or signals they are in trouble, using phased-array radar coupled with image processing.
The phased-array radar allows the remote sensing of water in either daylight or night. The phased-array radar comprises multiple antenna elements including an independent antenna element phase shifter allowing beamsteering. The device scans an object using a preset beamsteering algorithm independent of movement. The multiple antenna elements and beamsteering improve image data accuracy which is then interpreted and correlated with a body of water characteristics. The phased-array radar is also used for caretaker-monitored person communications.
Emergency Rescue Locator
An emergency rescue locator for locating persons and pets in the water is provided. The emergency rescue locator comprises a life jacket having a front side and a rear side and a locating system mounted to the life jacket. The locating system comprises an inflatable pole having a first end and a second end and an inflating mechanism in fluid communication with the first end of the pole. Upon the locating system becoming immersed in the water, the inflating mechanism instantly and automatically activates to inflate the pole causing the second end of the pole to be positioned at a point above a water surface. The locating system immediately and continuously pinpoints the persons' or pets' location until rescued.
