PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AT LEAST ONE CONCENTRATION OF A GAS IN A MONITORED AREA
A process and a system for monitoring at least one concentration of a gas in a monitored area includes generating data by a mobile gas measuring device (3a), whose position in the monitored area is determined or is known and transmitting the data directly or indirectly to a central data processing unit (1). The data are compared with at least one limit value, and an information signal is outputted by the at least one mobile gas measuring device and/or by the central data processing unit in case of an undershooting or overshooting of the limit value. The monitored area is divided into at least two zones (8) and zone-specific parameters are assigned to the zones. A functionality of the mobile gas measuring device is set and/or changed based on the current position of the gas measuring device and based on at least one of the zone-specific parameters.

The controller controls the communications interface to transmit the sensor data over the wireless telecommunications network at a first frequency; processes the sensor data to detect an event in an environment proximate to the module, and in response to detecting the event, controls the communications interface to transmit the sensor data over the wireless telecommunications network at a second frequency, wherein the second frequency is higher than the first frequency.

A remote CCTV module for a wireless monitoring system includes a communications interface configured to transmit data to a server over a wireless telecommunications network; a sensor interface configured to receive sensor data from a sensor; a CCTV camera; and a controller. Method, apparatus and product for utilizing stochastic controller to provide user-controlled notification rate of wearable-based events. The method comprises obtaining events issued by a module based on analysis of multiple sensor readings of one or more sensors of a wearable device. The method further comprises determining by a stochastic controller whether to provide an alert to a user based on the events and based on a user preference, wherein the user preference is indicative of a desired notification rate of the user, wherein the stochastic controller comprises a stochastic model of an environment. Based on such determination, alerts are outputted to the user.

A system for monitoring a petrochemical installation is disclosed. The system can include an optical imaging system comprising an array of optical detectors. The system can comprise processing electronics configured to process image data detected by the optical imaging system. The processing electronics can be configured to detect a target species based at least in part on the processed image data. The processing electronics can further be configured to, based on a detected amount of the target species, transmit an alarm notification to an external computing device over a communications network indicating that the target species has been detected at the petrochemical installation.
