METHODS FOR EMBEDDING PROTECTED VEHICLE IDENTIFIER INFORMATION IN CELLULAR VEHICLE-TO-EVERYTHING (C-V2X) MESSAGES
Various embodiments include methods that may be performed in a computing device of a vehicle for communicating permanent vehicle identification information in vehicle communications in response to detecting that there is a need to send the vehicle permanent identification information to a concerned party. The computing device may generate a message including the vehicle permanent identification information, and transmit the generated message to a roadside unit for routing to the concerned party. In some embodiments, the permanent vehicle identification information may be included in cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) protocol messages.
System and Method for Facilitating Trespass Incident Reporting
A system and method to facilitate trespass incident reporting. The system includes a camera, a processor, a communication device, a remote server, a storage device, and a user personal computing (PC) device. The processor aids in identifying a trespasser using the facial images acquired by the camera through a visual comparison with known trespassers. The processor sends the acquired facial images to the remote server through the communication device. Then the acquired facial images are matched with images of trespassers in a trespasser database stored on the storage device. When no match is found, the remote server prompts the user's PC device to enter information for the first-time trespasser, and to present an audio no-trespass warning message to the trespasser while concurrently recording the presentation using an audio/video recorder. With the no-trespass recording, a trespasser incident report is created and distributed to all users.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AT-HOME MONITORING OF AN INDIVIDUAL
In one embodiment, a sensor unit includes an outer housing including a top plate and a base member that together define an interior space, the top plate being configured to directly receive and support the leg of the piece of furniture, a load cell provided within the interior space configured to measure forces imposed by the leg on the top plate, the load cell including a planar metal plate having a deformable element to which the top plate is mounted and a sensor element mounted to the planar metal plate at a location at which the deformable element extends from the remainder of the planar metal plate, and an internal platform provided within the interior space and associated with the base member that supports the planar metal plate of the load cell in a manner in which the deformable element of the planar metal plate is free to deform when a force is imposed by the leg on the top plate.

HOME OCCUPANCY INFORMATION SYSTEM
A home occupancy status and information system may be used to track information about human and animal occupants within a structure, and provide information to first responders in the event of an emergency. A rescue beacon may be positioned near an entrance to a home, and when an audible alarm or alarm signal is detected by the beacon it will provide visual alerts and/or audible alerts to attract the attention of a first responder, and will provide information on occupants in the home, such as a number of pets, a number of humans, and other information. A rescue device may also be carried by each pet or other occupant in the house, which may be activated by a wireless signal from a rescue beacon, or by a detected alarm audio/signal. When activated, the rescue device will provide audible and/or visual alerts to aid first responders in locating the occupant.

Near-far security sensor
Described is a security sensor comprising two or more sub-sensors for use in a variety of installations where different magnetic fields may be experienced by the security sensor as a result of the variety of installations. One of the sub-sensors may have a low magnetic sensitivity while the other sub-sensor may have a much higher sensitivity to magnetic fields. In operation, one or both sub-sensors are used to determine if a door or a window has been opened.

VEHICLE, LEAVE-BEHIND-IN-VEHICLE PREVENTION APPARATUS, AND METHOD
A location information acquisition unit acquires vehicle location information indicating a location of a vehicle. A location determination unit determines whether or not the location indicated by the vehicle location information matches a registered location. A living body determination unit determines whether or not there is a living body present inside the vehicle under a state in which the vehicle is locked. A notification unit notifies, when it is determined that the location of the vehicle matches the registered location and that there is a living body present inside the vehicle, a user of the presence of the living body inside the vehicle.
