Waking other devices for additional data
The disclosed subject matter provides a main device and at least one secondary device. The at least one secondary device and the main device may operate in cooperation with one another and other networked components to provide improved performance, such as improved speech and other signal recognition operations. Using the improved recognition results, a higher probability of generating the proper commands to a controllable device is provided.
Management of wireless transmission rate of control signals for power assistive devices
A system and method for transmission of a signal for a powered assistive device has a sensor node with a wireless transmitter adapted for digitally transmitting a transmitted signal, the sensor node adapted for receiving and monitoring a sensor signal from a sensor attached to a user, and a master node with a controller and a wireless receiver for receiving the transmitted signal from the wireless transmitter. The master node processes the transmitted signal and communicates a control signal to the powered assistive device. The wireless transmitter transmits the transmitted signal at a first rate when the wireless transmitter adapted to transmit the transmitted signal at a first rate when the sensor signal is indicative of the rest state and to transmit the transmitted signal at a second rate when the sensor signal is indicative of the active state, the second rate being greater than the first rate.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, REMOTE CONTROL APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An electronic apparatus, control method thereof, remote control apparatus that controls the electronic apparatus, and control method thereof. The remote control apparatus includes a communication unit which communicates with the electronic apparatus; a user input unit which receives a user button selection indicating an input button; a sensing unit which senses movement of the remote control apparatus; and a control unit which controls the communication unit to transmit information about the user button selection to perform a function corresponding to the input button if the remote control apparatus is in a button input mode, and to transmit information about the movement of the remote control apparatus to the electronic apparatus to control the electronic apparatus by the movement if the remote control apparatus is in a motion recognition mode. Accordingly, controlling a game or a multimedia content is easier, and the user is provided with a new and interesting experience.
RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a wallbox. The remote control device may include a control unit and a faceplate assembly. The faceplate assembly may include a mounting frame, an adapter plate, and a faceplate. The mounting frame may be configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch such that that the faceplate is spaced away from the bezel of the mechanical switch to enable the mounting ring to extend through respective openings in the adapter plate and the faceplate.
Remote control apparatus capable of remotely controlling multiple devices
The present invention relates to a remote control apparatus which can remotely control multiple devices. A remote control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a key input unit having multiple keys; a reception unit for receiving at least one device identification signal from at least one device or a transmission device corresponding to the device; a processor for detecting an identification signal for a device, which can be remotely controlled, from the at least one received device identification signal, and matching at least one of the multiple keys to a control command for the remote control of the device, on the basis of the detected identification signal; and a transmission unit for transmitting a signal corresponding to the control command when the key matched to the control command is selected. Accordingly, the present invention can remotely control multiple devices.
REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE USAGE DETECTION BASED ON POWER CONSUMPTION
Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for remote control device usage detection. A smart battery may be inserted into a remote control device. The smart battery provides power to the remote control device as well as monitors the power consumption when a particular one or more interface elements of the remote control is interacted with by an end user. The power consumption information is transmitted to a receiver, which may identify the remote control device and/or the interface element(s) that has been interacted with based on the received data.
Controlling an IoT device using a remote control device via an infrastructure device
Described herein are implementations for using a remote control device to control a target device on a network. An exemplary remote control device may generate a data packet comprising a command for controlling the target device and a network address associated with the target device. The remote control device may establish a connection to an infrastructure device on the network, and transmit the data packet to the infrastructure device. The infrastructure device may multicast the data packet to a plurality of IoT devices on the network. An IoT device, of the plurality of IoT devices, may execute the command based on determining, using the network address, that the IoT device is the target device.
PORTABLE TERMINAL APPARATUS
A portable terminal apparatus includes a display unit displaying an image, an operation input unit inputting a user operation, and a wireless communication unit performing wireless communication by a wireless LAN, and at a time of startup from a sleep state, a remote control button is displayed on the display unit when a mutual communication with a predetermined access point can be performed in the wireless communication unit, and when the remote control button is selected, a remote control signal corresponding to the selected remote control button is transmitted.
Keyless entry system
A keyless entry system includes a first communication apparatus and a second communication apparatus. The first communication apparatus includes first transmitter, first receiver, and first two-way communication device. The second communication apparatus includes second receiver, second transmitter, and second two-way communication device. The first communication apparatus or the second communication apparatus includes electric field strength detector. In a case where the first communication apparatus and the second communication apparatus are not connected to each other through two-way communication or electric field strength detected by the electric field strength detector is less than a predetermined value, the first communication apparatus stops a call function of the first transmitter or the second communication apparatus stops a wait function of the second receiver.
