LEARNED QUIET TIMES FOR DIGITAL ASSISTANTS

In example implementations, a method is provided. The method monitors, by a processor of a voice activated device that is executing a digital assistant, an operation of a secondary device in communication with the voice activated device. A quiet time period is learned based on the operation of the secondary device that is monitored. A quiet time mode is enabled for the quiet time period that is learned. A notification that is received is suppressed when the quiet time mode is enabled.

Electronic apparatus and control method thereof

An electronic apparatus may include a microphone; a communication circuitry; a memory; and a processor configured to: identify whether information of an external apparatus that previously connected through the communication circuitry is stored in the memory based on a preset event of the electronic apparatus; based on identifying that the information of the external apparatus that previously connected through the communication circuitry is stored in the memory, perform connection with the external apparatus through the communication circuitry based on the information of the external apparatus; and based on identifying that the information of the external apparatus that previously connected through the communication circuitry is not stored in the memory, perform connection with the external apparatus by performing a search through the communication circuitry, based on a first voice command obtained through the microphone.

Disclosed herein are embodiments for controlling visual indicators of an audio responsive electronic device. In some embodiments, an audio responsive electronic device operates by receiving audio input, and then analyzing the audio input to identify an intended target of the audio input. The intended target may be one of a plurality of electronic devices or services which are native or non-native to the audio responsive electronic device. The audio responsive electronic device transmits the audio input to the identified intended target. A reply message is received from the intended target. Then, the audio responsive electronic device controls its visual indicators using information in the reply message, to thereby provide visual feedback to a user. Also disclosed herein are embodiments for capturing and providing audio to an application according to an application programming interface of a media device.
