Automatic device volume adjustment based on learned volume preferences
Systems and methods for automatically adjusting device volume based on learned volume preferences are disclosed herein. A first device receives a wireless signal from a second device. A signal strength of the wireless signal is determined, and a location of the second device is determined based on the signal strength of the wireless signal. Historical volume level data for the first device is retrieved from memory. A target volume level for the first device is determined based on the location of the second device and the historical volume level data. A volume setting of the first device is automatically adjusted to the target volume level.
Context-sensitive remote control device
Various implementations include approaches for controlling content via a playback device. In a particular implementation, a remote control device includes: a keypad having a set of actuatable buttons for controlling a playback device; and a control module, where the remote control device is operable in a plurality of different operating states, and where the control module is configured to highlight one or more distinct subsets of the set of actuatable buttons at the keypad based upon a current operating state of the remote control device.
METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING EXTERNAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An example method for controlling an external electronic device of an electronic device, according to various embodiments, includes: receiving data information corresponding to at least one function of the external electronic device from an external electronic device connected to the electronic device; displaying a setting window for setting a user interface for controlling the external electronic device using the data information; selecting a control item corresponding to the at least one function included in the setting window according to user input reception; and setting and displaying the user interface corresponding to the selected control item.
SYSTEM
A system includes a communication circuit provided in at least one of multiple devices that are connected to a control device in a predetermined connection relationship. The control device includes: a signal transmitter designating, as a destination, one of the devices provided with the communication circuit, based on the connection relationship, and transmitting a call signal to the device designated as the destination; a receiver circuit wirelessly receiving a recall signal, which is transmitted in response to the call signal; and a determination unit determining that the control device and the device designated as the destination are connected in the connection relationship when the receiver circuit receives the recall signal. The communication circuit wirelessly transmits the recall signal to the control device when the device provided with the communication circuit itself is designated as the destination and when the device provided with the communication circuit itself receives the call signal.
Remote controller, display apparatus and controlling method thereof
A remote controller is provided. The remote controller includes a transmitter; a microphone configured to receive an audio signal output from an audio output apparatus; a communicator comprising communication circuitry configured to perform communication with a display apparatus connected to the audio output apparatus and to transmit the audio signal received through the microphone to the display apparatus; and a processor configured to control the transmitter to transmit to the audio output apparatus a signal for controlling a power of the audio output apparatus based on information indicating whether there is a test tone in an audio signal received by the microphone and received from the display apparatus.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING A SHIP
A system for controlling a ship 1 comprises a ship 1 having: a ship control unit 204 configured to determine situation information of the ship 1; and a transmitter-receiver 12 connected to the ship control unit 204 and configured to transmit the situation information. A remote control centre 18 remote from the ship 1 comprises a transmitter-receiver 16 configured to receive situation information of the ship 1; and a remote control unit 202 configured to determine pilot-control information for maneuvering the ship 1 based on the situation information and configured to transmit the pilot-control information to the ship 1 via the transmitter-receiver 16 of the remote control centre 18. The ship control unit 204 or the remote control unit 202 is configured to determine a quality of a connection between the transmitter-receiver 12 of the ship 1 and the transmitter-receiver 16 of the remote control centre 18.
Electronic device and control method thereof
A device includes a first sensor to generate a movement signal of a user movement; a second sensor to generate a PPG signal of the user; and a processor configured to set each of time periods as a predetermined amount of time to determine one sleeping state of the user, set a first part of the predetermined amount of time in each time period to emit the light, and set a remaining part of the predetermined amount of time in each time period to not emit the light, control the light emitter of the second sensor to emit the light in the first part of each time period and to not emit the light in the remaining part of each time period, and determine, for each time period, the sleeping state of the user based on the movement signal and the PPG signal that are generated for each time period.
Charge port authorization for electric vehicles
A system and method for wirelessly authorizing access to a charge port for an electric vehicle is provided. The system may first establish a wireless communication link with a charging cord and then receive, from the charging cord, a wireless signal including a charging cord identifier. Upon verifying that the charging cord is authorized for use with the electric vehicle based on the charging cord identifier, a charge port door may be opened providing access to the charge port. A wireless communication link with a charging cord may be established using a challenge-response protocol like some passive entry systems. Alternatively, a wireless communication link may be established using radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology embedded in the charge port and the charging cord handle.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An electronic control unit provided in a vehicle is provided. The electronic control unit comprises a communication unit for receiving information on vehicle electronic devices from one or more vehicle electronic devices provided in the vehicle, and a processor for selecting the information on vehicle electronic devices from any one of the vehicle electronic devices in response to occurrence of an event and controlling the communication unit to first transmit the selected information to a server.
Fluid Machine, Fluid Machine Managing Method and Fluid Machine Managing System
An object is to proceed with a contract-concluding process for an operational data transaction simply, conveniently and clearly. A fluid machine including: a driving source; a fluid machine body that generates a fluid by a driving force of the driving source; a controller that has a GUI allowing an external input and output, and controls driving of the driving source; and a communication apparatus that allows communication with an external server via a wired or wireless communication line. In the fluid machine, when transmitting operational information of the fluid machine to the external server, the external server being owned by a third party other than an owner or an authorized person of a legitimate use right of the fluid machine or the external server whose legitimate use right being held by the third party, the controller transmits the operational information after receiving, via the GUI, an input indicating that the operational information is approved to be output to the third party and to be used by the third party.
