Identification system and method for remote transmitter operation
A transmission unit for mounting in a vehicle is disclosed. The transmission unit comprises a transmitter circuit configured to transmit control signals for operating a plurality of remote electronic devices. The transmission unit further comprises a scanning device configured to capture scan data and a controller in communication with the scanning device. The controller is configured to receive the scan data and determine a first identity of a first occupant based on the scan data. The controller is further operable to access a first user profile based on the first identity. The first user profile may comprise a customized or restricted set of control signals, which may be sent by the transmission unit based on an input or gesture from the first user.
Facilitating telemetry data communication security between an implantable device and an external device
Systems, apparatus, methods and non-transitory computer readable media facilitating telemetry data communication security between an implantable device and an external clinician device are provided. An implantable device can include a security component configured to generate security information based on reception of a clinician telemetry session request from the clinician device via a first telemetry communication protocol. The security information can include a session identifier and a first session key, and the clinician telemetry session request can include a clinician device identifier associated with the clinician device. The implantable device can further include a communication component configured to establish a clinician telemetry session with the clinician device using a second telemetry communication protocol based on determining that a connection request, received via the second telemetry communication protocol, was transmitted by the clinician device based on inclusion of the clinician device in the connection request.
Authentication of users for securing remote controlled devices
In one embodiment, a system includes a processing circuit and logic integrated with the processing circuit, executable by the processing circuit, or integrated with and executable by the processing circuit. The logic is configured to cause the processing circuit to limit functionality of a remote controlled device during periods of time that a user of the remote controlled device is not authenticated, and to receive identity information of the user of the remote controlled device via an authentication process, with the identity information establishing an identity of the user. Also, the logic is configured to cause the processing circuit to authenticate the user prior to allowing full functionality of the remote controlled device, send an indication of the identity of the user to the remote controlled device, and provide full functionality of the remote controlled device to the user in response to successfully authenticating the user.
Remote control system and method for portable terminals
Provided are a remote control system and method for controlling portable terminals. The remote control system includes a control terminal which is a portable terminal that performs a remote control operation, a target terminal which is a portable terminal that is subject to the remote control operation performed by the control terminal, and a remote control management server which determines whether the control terminal and the target terminal are heterogeneous, and if the two terminals are heterogeneous, converts messages respectively transmitted from the control terminal and the target terminal to a format conforming to corresponding receiving terminals.
Electronic device, audio output device, and operating method of electronic device
An electronic device and operating method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a communicator; a memory configured to store one or more instructions; and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory to: control the communicator to transmit, to an audio output device via one-way communication, connection information which is used for connection of two-way communication between the electronic device and the audio output device; control the communicator to receive, from the audio output device via the two-way communication, authentication information which is determined based on the connection information; control the communicator to transmit or receive a control signal to or from the audio output device, via the two-way communication, according to an authentication of the audio output device based on the received authentication information; and control the communicator to transmit an audio signal to the audio output device, via the one-way communication.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING AND MANAGING THE UNAUTHORIZED USE OF AN UNMANNED AIRCRAFT
Systems for policing and managing the operation of so-called unmanned vehicles are presented which allow for the takeover of the unmanned vehicle in the event of the detection of possible or actual ill-intentioned or inappropriate use of, malfunction or usurpation of the vehicle. Embodiments of the invention include dual-control unmanned vehicles which allow both pilot and police control of the vehicle, with the police having priority.
AUTHENTICATION OF USERS FOR SECURING REMOTE CONTROLLED DEVICES
In one embodiment, a method includes limiting functionality of a remote controlled device during a first period of time where a user of the remote controlled device is not authenticated, receiving, from a separate authentication device, identity information of the user of the remote controlled device and information of the remote controlled device via an authentication process, authenticating the user prior to allowing full functionality of the remote controlled device, sending an indication of the identity of the user to the remote controlled device; and in response to determining during the authenticating that the user is verified as a trainee for the remote controlled device, enabling a trainer/trainee setting that allows a trainer to provide control of the remote controlled device to the trainee without functionality of the remote controlled device being limited.
Remote control with enhanced modularity
Various devices, systems, products and methods for customizing a remote control are presented. Sensors are optionally used to aid in the identification of users and user specific remote control configurations and layouts are optionally automatically loaded upon determination that a different user is handling the remote control. The devices, systems, products and methods are useful for minimizing inadvertent changes to system setting and modes due to unanticipated or accidental presses of buttons on a remote control.
Electronic Device with Gesture Actuation of Companion Devices, and Corresponding Systems and Methods
An electronic device includes a biometric sensor, such as a fingerprint sensor, that identifies biometric input received at the biometric sensor. One or more processors operable with the biometric sensor identify one or more companion devices operating within a wireless communication radius of the electronic device. Where multiple companion devices are within the wireless communication radius, a user can make a selection of one or more of them. One or more gesture sensors identify a predefined gesture input, such as a key turn simulation. A wireless communication circuit responsive to the one or more processors, delivers an actuation credential to at least one companion device to control the companion device.
USER TERMINAL APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A user terminal apparatus is provided. The user terminal apparatus for performing a remote control function for an electronic apparatus includes a communication unit configured to communicate with an electronic apparatus for providing a text input user interface (UI), an input unit configured to receive a user command for input of a specific text on the text input UI, a fingerprint scanner provided in the input unit and configured to recognize a user fingerprint, and a controller configured to recognize a user fingerprint according to the user command and to transmit information corresponding to the recognized user fingerprint to the electronic apparatus in response to the electronic apparatus entering a preset text input mode.
