SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING VEHICLES
There is a system and a process for tracking vehicles and individuals in a region during an emergency situation comprising at least one server having at least one microprocessor. There is at least one remote electronic device having at least one processor at least one transceiver and at least one GPS transceiver, there is at least two pressure sensitive sensors to determine a rate of movement of vehicles through an intersection. When the system determines an emergency situation via at least one of the pressure sensitive sensors, the system is configured to notify at least one individual adjacent to the two pressure sensitive sensors. Alternatively, the system could be notified by an emergency responder of an emergency situation.
Vehicle and non-vehicle traffic flow control
Traffic flow control. A method identifies traffic in an area. The traffic includes traffic objects. The identifying obtains identifiers of traffic objects in the area. Each traffic object is identified by a respective identifier of the traffic object identifiers. The method also dynamically assigns weights to the traffic objects based on pre-established traffic criteria. Each traffic object is assigned a respective weight of the dynamically assigned weights. The pre-established traffic criteria each include at least one weight value. The weight assigned to a traffic object is based on the weight values of a set of traffic criteria, of the pre-established traffic criteria, applicable to the traffic object and reflects a level of prioritization of a right-of-way of the traffic object. The method also controls flow of the traffic in the area. The controlling the flow includes controlling at least one traffic control signal based on the dynamically assigned weights.
Trip determination for managing transit vehicle schedules
Approaches for managing transit vehicle schedules. The method includes determining a current location and current heading of a transit vehicle by a global positioning system (GPS) module aboard the transit vehicle and communicating the current location and current heading to a computer processor. The computer processor determines a current time and current day, and a trip schedule is selected from a plurality of trip schedules in a database. The selected trip schedule has attributes consistent with the current location, current heading, current time, and current day. The method determines whether the transit vehicle is ahead of the selected trip schedule or behind the selected trip schedule. An output signal indicates whether the transit vehicle is ahead of or behind schedule.

Method and system for analyzing the movement of bodies in a traffic system
A method and system for real-time monitoring traffic in a predetermined location; the system comprising: an image capture unit arranged for capturing a pixel image of traffic in the predetermined location; a processor arranged for: identifying and classifying the or each object within the image via a neural network process using the pixel data to generate an object type; determining a location co-ordinate for the or each object type; linking the or each object with corresponding objects in subsequent or preceding frames; creating an array of object type and location co-ordinates over time; a communications unit arranged for communicating the array of object type and location co-ordinates with an end user; and a feedback unit arranged for producing a representation of the object type and location co-ordinates to enable the end user in use, to determine information relating to the traffic in the predetermined location.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTERSECTION ASSISTANCE USING DEDICATED SHORT RANGE COMMUNICATIONS
Systems and methods for intersection assistance using dedicated short range communications are disclosed. An example vehicle includes a dedicated short range communication transceiver and an intersection assistor. The example dedicated short range communication transceiver is configured to receive safety messages from other vehicles. The example intersection assistor is configured to, before the vehicle reaches an intersection, determine a likelihood that there will be space for the vehicle on the other side of the intersection, and display a recommendation on whether to proceed through the intersection based on the likelihood.
VEHICLE PRIORITIZATION SYSTEM
A vehicle prioritization system is provided. The system includes a central controller. The central controller is configured to receive one or more characteristics of one or more vehicles, and the central controller is also configured to assign a priority for each of the one or more vehicles according to the one or more characteristics of each of the one or more vehicles. Movement of each of the one or more vehicles having a higher priority is prioritized over vehicles having a lower priority.
