The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for recommending a parking lot in a smart city and an Internet of Things system, implemented based on a management platform of an Internet of Things system for recommending a parking lot in a smart city. The method includes: determining an arrival duration of a user reaching at least one candidate parking lot and a prediction time period corresponding to each candidate parking lot in the at least one candidate parking lot based on a user request; determining an occupation rate of the candidate parking lot during the prediction time period; and determining a recommended parking lot at least based on the occupation rate of the candidate parking lot during the prediction time period and parking lot information of the candidate parking lot.
Eliminating Unexpected Activation Of Components Of A Vehicle When Parked In A Garage
This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for eliminating false activation of components of a vehicle when the vehicle is parked in a garage. Example components can be a door lock, a door latch, a door activation servomotor, or a light. In an example method, a vehicle entry authorization system of a vehicle operates a sensor system to obtain dimensional information of an interior portion of the garage. The vehicle entry authorization system may then detect a presence of a mobile device (such as a phone-as-a-key or a vehicle key fob) and determines the location of the mobile device based on the dimensional information. If the mobile device is located outside the garage, the vehicle entry authorization system refrains from activating a component of the vehicle. However, if the mobile device is located inside the garage, the vehicle entry authorization system activates the component.
Systems and methods for learning driver parking preferences and generating parking recommendations
A method for automatically learning parking preferences for a driver and generating parking recommendations includes generating training data based at least in part on: 1) trajectory data indicating a trajectory of a vehicle during a plurality of parking events, each in which a driver of the vehicle selected a parking candidate from among a plurality of parking candidates, and 2) attribute data indicating attributes of each of the plurality of parking candidates, removing, from the training data, data associated with at least one available parking candidate based on one or more conditions that indicate the driver did not consider the at least one available parking candidate, and training a decision model, based on remaining training data, to estimate a preferred parking candidate for the driver from among a set of available parking candidates.

A method may include: receiving an aerial image of a geographic region; applying an object detection algorithm to the received aerial image to identify vehicle objects within the aerial image; identifying one or more clusters of vehicle objects within the aerial image; generating cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects; map matching the cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects to a map of the geographic region; and identifying on-street parking for a road segment in response to a cluster line of the cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects satisfying predetermined criteria with respect to the road segment.
