Method and Apparatus for Parking Lot Metering
A method and apparatus for parking lot metering. The present invention allows multi-space meters to separately manage and control premium parking spaces, such as those for charging electric vehicles or those which supply electric power for engine block heaters in both pay-by-space and pay-an-display systems. Such premium spaces can be managed together over large areas (e.g., a city or region), or may be managed over smaller areas (e.g., the domain of an individual kiosk), or individually per parking space. Management includes pricing, time limits, hours, seasons of operation, and restrictions by vehicle type, and alternative pricing and restrictions for non-premium hours.
Chargeability presenting method and chargeability presenting system
A chargeability presenting method which includes before start of transmitting first electric power to an electric vehicle, wirelessly supplying second electric power to a charging space, detecting whether heat is generated by a foreign object in the charging space after the second electric power is transmitted, and before start of transmitting the first electric power, presenting chargeability information that is generated based on vehicle presence information and foreign object information, the vehicle presence information indicating whether the charging space is vacant, and the foreign object information indicating whether the heat is detected in the charging space.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING PARKING OF A VEHICLE AND PARKING CONTROL METHOD
A parking control apparatus includes: a processor configured to generate an outline based on previously parked vehicles, to generate a target reference based on the outline, to select a parking spot for double-parking based on the target reference, and to perform double-parking control on the parking spot when there are no vacant parking spaces by searching for at least a parking space in a parking lot; and a storage configured to store data and algorithms driven by the processor.
AUTOMATIC PARKING SYSTEM, AUTOMATIC PARKING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An automatic parking system includes an infrastructure sensor that is able to detect a state of a parking lot. A blind spot area that does not allow the state of the parking lot to be detected by the infrastructure sensor is identified in the parking lot, and the state of the parking including the blind spot area, the state of the parking lot being detected by an on-board sensor of a vehicle in the parking lot, is acquired. Based on the state of the parking lot detected by the infrastructure sensor and the state of the parking lot that includes the blind spot area and that is detected by the on-board sensor of the vehicle in the parking lot, a travel route for the vehicle traveling in the parking lot is generated.
Systems and methods for learning driver parking preferences and generating parking recommendations
A method for automatically learning parking preferences for a driver and generating parking recommendations includes generating training data based at least in part on: 1) trajectory data indicating a trajectory of a vehicle during a plurality of parking events, each in which a driver of the vehicle selected a parking candidate from among a plurality of parking candidates, and 2) attribute data indicating attributes of each of the plurality of parking candidates, removing, from the training data, data associated with at least one available parking candidate based on one or more conditions that indicate the driver did not consider the at least one available parking candidate, and training a decision model, based on remaining training data, to estimate a preferred parking candidate for the driver from among a set of available parking candidates.
Systems and methods for parking space selection and navigation based on weighted parameter comparison
Parking space selection and navigation systems and methods are disclosed. One or more computing devices are configured to receive a search request from a first user device to secure a parking space for a vehicle, which includes one or more listing parameter, secure a first parking space stored in a database based on the search request, and determine a first listing value for the first parking space. The computing device(s) are configured to receive information associated with a second parking space and determine a second listing value for the second parking space. The computing device(s) are configured to determine that the second listing value is greater than the first listing value by a predefined value, transmit a message to the first and second user devices, and automatically transmit information relating to the parking reservation to a navigation application to update a destination associated with the second parking space.
Method and system for navigating vehicle to pickup / drop-off zone
This document describes methods by which a system determines a pickup/drop-off zone (PDZ) to which a vehicle will navigate to perform a ride service request. The system will define a PDZ that is a geometric interval that is within a lane of a road at the requested destination of the ride service request by: (i) accessing map data that includes the geometric interval; (ii) using the vehicle's length and the road's speed limit at the destination to calculate a minimum allowable length for the PDZ; (iii) setting, start point and end point boundaries for the PDZ having an intervening distance that is equal to or greater than the minimum allowable length; and (iv) positioning the PDZ in the lane at or within a threshold distance from the requested destination. The system will then generate a path to guide the vehicle to the PDZ.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING UTILIZATION OF AN AREA FOR VEHICLE PARKING
Systems and methods for determining utilization of an area for vehicle parking are provided. For example, a method for determining utilization of an area for vehicle parking includes determining an expected level of utilization of an area for vehicle parking. The method also includes based on the determined expected level of utilization, analyzing one or more characteristics associated the area for vehicle parking. The method also includes based on the analysis, providing information for modifying the utility of the area for vehicle parking.
Determining shelter areas for two-wheeler vehicles
Embodiments relate to a system, computer program product, and method for determining shelter areas for two-wheeler vehicles, and, more specifically, for dynamically distinguishing the behavior of two-wheeler vehicles and non-two-wheeler vehicles as an indicator of shelter areas from inclement weather. The behavior of the vehicles is distinguished through a plurality of two-wheeler vehicles slowing down and congregating at a particular location as a shelter against inclement weather, while non-two-wheeler vehicles may slow down, however, not stop proximate this location.
Management of a parking lot
A parking lot is designed for parking motor vehicles in a non-organized manner. A method for managing the parking lot includes steps of determining an area P of the parking lot that is able to be occupied by parked motor vehicles, of determining an area K of the parking lot that is currently occupied by parked motor vehicles, and of determining a number Z of motor vehicles that may be parked additionally in the parking lot, on the basis of the relationship Z=(1−K/P)*M, where M comprises a maximum number of motor vehicles that may be parked in the parking lot.
