Aspects of the disclosure provide a parking method and system for a vehicle. For example, the parking system can include a processor and an output circuit. As another example, the parking system can include the processor and a compelling unit. The processor can be configured to determine whether a first weather condition, such as snowing, raining, icing and hailing, at a first parking location meets a first criterion, and identify, when the first weather condition meets the first criterion, a second parking location at which a second weather condition meets a second criterion different from the first criterion. The output unit can be configured to output an alert to the vehicle parked at the first parking location indicating that the vehicle is to be moved to the second parking location. The compelling unit can be configured to compel the vehicle to move to the second parking location.
Method, system, and computer-readable storage medium for managing shared vehicle
A shared vehicle management system for managing a shared vehicle is described in the present disclosure. The shared vehicle management system includes a return request processing unit, a shared vehicle management unit and a parking determination unit. The return request processing unit is configured to receive, from a mobile device of a user, a shared vehicle return request including terminal identification information of the mobile device and parking spot identification information. The shared vehicle management unit is configured to identify the shared vehicle based on the terminal identification information of the mobile device. The parking determination unit is configured to determine, based on the parking spot identification information, that the shared vehicle identified by the shared vehicle management unit is parked on a parking spot corresponding to the parking spot identification information. The return request processing unit is further configured to transmit a notification of completion of return to the mobile device.
Systems and methods for parking space selection based on weighted parameter comparison
Parking space selection systems and methods are disclosed. One or more computing devices are configured to determine a first listing value based on one or more listing parameters associated with a first listing, which is secured by a first wireless device. A second listing value is determined based on one or more listing parameters associated with a second listing. The first and second listing value are compared and a difference between them is determined. It is determined whether the difference between the first listing value and the second listing value exceeds a predetermined threshold. In response to the determination that the difference exceeds the predetermined threshold, a user-selectable message is provided on the first wireless device. The user-selectable message includes a prompt configured to secure the second listing. In response to the prompt, the second listing is secured for the first wireless device.

An example method includes obtaining a layout that identifies ramps, turns, and level portions of a multilevel parking structure, determining vehicle data gathered as the vehicle operates within the multilevel parking structure, the vehicle data including steering input, compass headings, and distance traveled, and determining a current level of a vehicle within the multilevel parking structure by tracking the vehicle's use of the ramps, the turns, and the level portions in combination with the layout.

A method is provided for gathering probe data and using the gathered data to creating parking lot road link geometry. Methods may include: receiving probe data from a plurality of probes in and around a parking lot; identify a plurality of seed points, where the plurality of seed points are iteratively created from the probe data; generating one or more parking lot road links based on identification of compatible seed points; determining if one or more parking lot road links is within a predefined distance of an end of each of the one or more parking lot road links; forming a T-junction between a first parking lot road link and a second parking lot road link; generating a parking lot map including the one or more parking lot road links; and providing for guidance of a vehicle through the parking lot based on the generated parking lot map.
Systems and methods for identifying available parking spaces using connected vehicles
Systems and methods described herein relate to identifying available parking spaces using connected vehicles. One embodiment performs one of (1) receiving, from a connected vehicle, vehicle position data and vehicle detection and tracking data including at least one bounding box transition event in which a bounding box associated with a particular detected parked vehicle crosses an image-frame boundary; and (2) receiving, from the connected vehicle, the vehicle position data and sensor data, performing object detection and tracking on the sensor data to generate the vehicle detection and tracking data, and detecting the at least one bounding box transition event; generates updated parking-space availability data by performing map matching to associate the vehicle position data and the at least one bounding box transition event with parking spaces in a parking map; and transmits the updated parking-space availability data to one or more participating connected vehicles.
