Embodiments of the present invention provide a low-profile, surface-mounted, wireless parking sensor (LPSMPS) that is easy-to-install, easy-to-maintain, easy-to-repair, and low-cost. The LPSMPS can support the weight of a typical motor vehicle without damage to the electronic components therein. The LPSMPS has a disk-like shape and houses a circular printed circuit board (PCB) that includes electronics for motor vehicle sensing and for wireless communication with other devices. Batteries (e.g., standard AA batteries) are positioned around the circular PCB to enable a low overall profile. For example, according to some embodiments, the maximum height of the LPSMPS is less than 20 mm.

System and Method for Managing Parking Queries
20210150418 · 2021-05-20 ·

A method and system for managing parking queries includes receiving an electronic parking query associated with a querying user, the query indicating a parking location and a parking date, clustering from user-generated event data for a plurality of non-querying users a subset of relevant user-generated event entries corresponding to the parking location and the parking date, and determining a set of parking occupancy parameters for the electronic parking query based on one or more event attributes of the relevant user-generated event entries of the subset. A parking reservation invitation may be generated based on the set of parking occupancy parameters. User-generated event data may include electronic scheduling entries and/or social media events. Parking occupancy parameters can also be augmented based on one or more additional entries.

Parking display for a vehicle

A method comprises determining a first location of a vehicle being driven by a road user and retrieving, from a first database, a first set of parking information. Each entry in the first set of parking information is associated with a physical location that is within a first distance of the first location. For each entry in the first set of parking information, the method comprises displaying, on a graphical user interface, a symbol at a virtual location corresponding to the physical location associated with the entry. The method comprises determining a second location of the vehicle and, if the second location is above a first threshold distance away from the first location and retrieving, from the first database, a second set of parking information. Each entry in the second set of parking information being associated with a physical location that is within a second distance of the second location. For each entry in the second set of parking information, the method comprises displaying, on a graphical user interface, a symbol at a virtual location corresponding to the physical location associated with the entry.

PARKING SPOT LOCATOR BASED ON PERSONALIZED PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS

In an approach to creating and using a reinforcement learning model for personalizing a recommendation of a parking spot, one or more computer processors receive a first destination associated with the vehicle. One or more computer processors determine a parking spot availability in proximity to the destination. One or more computer processors determine a recommended parking spot location. One or more computer processors display the recommended parking spot location to the user. One or more computer processors determine a first parking spot selection. One or more computer processors receive a first satisfaction rating associated with the recommended parking spot location.

PARKING ASSISTANCE METHOD, PARKING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

A method for assisting parking of a vehicle in a parking lot is proposed. The method comprises the steps of generating node information from a start position to an end position of a leaving operation of the vehicle, calculating a reference distance between a start node and a reference node which is a node located in front of the vehicle among nodes located on a drive aisle of the parking lot, calculating, for respective target nodes, an aisle distance which is a distance from the reference node, the target nodes being nodes from the reference node to an end node, identifying a specific node which is a node whose the aisle distance is most approximate to the reference distance among the target nodes, and transmitting, to the vehicle, the node information regarding the start node and regarding the target nodes from the specific node to the end node.

Computer-implemented system and method for object tracking via identifier-tracker pairings

A computer-implemented system and method for object tracking via identifier-tracker pairings is provided. An identifier-tracker pair includes a tracker that is paired with an identifier and is also associated with an object. One or more reader systems each obtain readings identifying the tracker at one or more points in time. A location of the tracker is determined based on the readings at each point in time and the locations of the tracker are stored. The identifier is received from a user and the tracker paired with the received identifier is determined. A current location of the tracker is identified by selecting a most recent stored location. A display provides the current location of the tracker to the user as a location of the object.

PARKING SENSOR MAGNETOMETER CALIBRATION

Various arrangements for determining that a vehicle is present in a parking space are presented. A parking sensor can make a plurality of magnetic field strength measurements using a magnetometer. A determination that the vehicle is parked proximate to the parking sensor device within the parking space can be based on a magnetic field strength measurement in relation to the selected magnetic field strength window.

VEHICLE TO INFRASTRUCTURE POWER SAVING SYSTEM

A system and method is disclosed for communicating data and transmitting information between roadside infrastructure units regarding vehicle data, in some embodiments, the roadside infrastructure units have one or more communication nodes equipped with a wireless transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly with a vehicle such as a dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) or cellular system. Each communication node can also wirelessly communicate with one or more of the other remaining communication nodes in, for example, a mesh network. One of the communication nodes can establish a connection with the vehicle via DSRC, obtain vehicle-specific data, and transmit at least a portion of this vehicle-specific data to one or more other communication nodes in other roadside infrastructure units. The roadside units can change operation state (e.g., illuminate) in response to receive the vehicle-specific data indicating the vehicle approaching that roadside unit,
