SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MICROMOBILITY SPATIAL APPLICATIONS

A system includes a processor and a memory in communication with the processor, the memory storing instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to receive from a portable device coupled to a vehicle one or more images and at least one sensor datum, compute based, at least in part, upon the one or more images and at least one sensor datum a pose estimate of the vehicle, identify based, at least in part, upon the pose estimate a geofence containing the pose estimate; and if the geofence comprises, at least in part, a parking zone, transmit a parking validation to the portable device.

Venue location identification for vehicular access control

A venue location identification system for vehicular access control is described. In one embodiment, the system includes at least one access control device. The access control device includes a processor, a communication interface, and an actuating mechanism configured to control a barrier for providing access to a parking area. The system also includes a user device associated with a vehicle. The user device is configured to communicate with the communication interface of the at least one access control device using ultra wideband (UWB) communication technology. The user device is further configured to transmit an access request to the access control device via UWB requesting permission to leave the parking area as the vehicle approaches the barrier.

PARKING CONTROL DEVICE

A parking control device performs parking control such that a vehicle is parked in a reserved parking area in an automatic valet parking lot including a plurality of parking areas. When the vehicle arrives at the automatic valet parking lot before an entrance time for the reserved parking area, the parking control device determines whether the reserved parking area is available. When it is determined that the reserved parking area is not available, the parking control device determines whether a temporary parking area which is an area other than the reserved parking area is available. When it is determined that the temporary parking area is available, the parking control device performs parking control such that the vehicle is parked in the temporary parking area.

Automated valet parking system

An automated valet parking system performs automated parking in response to a user request for entry or pick-up from a user and causes the self-driving vehicle to perform automated driving along a target route to enter or pick up. The automated valet parking system, when a self-driving vehicle stops in an emergency or experiences a communication interruption and becomes a failed vehicle, sets a restricted area based on parking place map information and a position of the failed vehicle and sets an allowed area in a parking place, including a parking space(s) located outside the restricted area, provides an instruction, based on a position of a subject vehicle that is a self-driving vehicle as a subject of the user request and the set restricted area, to the subject vehicle, and sets a target route such that the subject vehicle parks in the parking space located in the allowed area.

Management system of automated valet parking lot

A management system of an automated valet parking lot according to an example in the present disclosure is a management system of an automated valet parking lot attached to a facility. The management system includes a setting unit for setting a management area for the facility, an authentication unit for performing, when a vehicle is deposited in the automated valet parking lot, usage authentication of the automated valet parking lot with a portable terminal associated with the vehicle, a tracking unit for tracking the position of the portable terminal authenticated for the usage, and a notification unit for notifying the portable terminal of an alarm when the portable terminal is outside the management area.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS IN AN ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PERSONS OR VEHICLES COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE
20170372544 · 2017-12-28 ·

A method for controlling access in an access control system for people or vehicles comprising at least one access control device (11, 12), in which verification of an access authorization is carried out by evaluation of an ID, transmitted at regular intervals by a mobile electronic device (4, 4′) by a first standard. A mobile electronic device is identified as the mobile electronic device located closest to an access control device, if a connection is established by a second standard, which has a range, which covers an area around the access control device, in which only one person or one vehicle can be located or if the mobile electronic device receives a short-range signal, which is emitted or caused by the access control device and has a range, which covers an area around the access control device (11, 12), in which only one person or one vehicle can be located.

Controlling a parking lot sensor

A parking lot sensor includes a sensor for scanning a parking space for a vehicle. A method for controlling the parking lot sensor includes steps of determining an activity of vehicles in the parking lot, of determining a scanning frequency on the basis of the activity and of controlling, as a function of the scanning frequency, the sensor respectively for carrying out a scan.

AUTONOMOUS PARKING CONTROLLER AND METHOD BASED ON AMBIENT CONDITIONS RELATING TO A VEHICLE PARKING LOCATION
20170361835 · 2017-12-21 ·

Devices and methods in an autonomous parking controller for a vehicle are disclosed. When the vehicle is located at a parking location, the method determines whether the parking location includes a parking restriction. When the parking location includes the parking restriction, the example method compares the parking restriction with at least one restriction threshold. When the parking restriction compares unfavorably with the at least one restriction threshold, the example method, while at the parking location, monitors for a change in at least one of a plurality of ambient conditions relative to the vehicle. When the example method detects the change, the vehicle is autonomously relocated to another location to alleviate the active obstruction.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING A PARKING SPACE

Systems and methods are provided for monitoring a parking space with a sign. A sensor monitors the parking space and generate sensor data. A short-range transceiver receives a vehicle identification key and communicates over a short-range communication channel. A processor module is communicatively coupled with the sensor and the short-range transceiver. The processor module is configured to determine whether a vehicle in the parking space is an approved vehicle or an unapproved vehicle based on at least one of the sensor data and the vehicle identification key. The processor module generates a first notification when the the approved vehicle is in the parking space and a second notification when unapproved vehicle is in the parking space. The first and second notifications are transmitted by the short-range transceiver over the short-range communication channel.
