Disclosed is a method for joint parking, the method including selecting a number of target vehicles participating in the joint parking by a reference vehicle, generating joint parking information based on the selected number of the joint parking vehicles by the reference vehicle, transmitting the generated joint parking information to the target vehicle, and controlling the joint parking to be performed based on the joint parking information.

Systems and methods for managing a vehicle fleet based on compliance regulations
11568743 · 2023-01-31 · ·

Systems and methods are provided herein for managing a vehicle fleet based on compliance regulations, and, in some embodiments, involve blockchain or other distributed ledger technologies. Systems and methods for managing a vehicle fleet based on compliance regulations may include receiving a service request, wherein the service request is a request for a passenger ride or a request for a cargo transport, receiving first information for a first node, wherein the first information comprises a vehicle size, a vehicle weight, and/or a number of seats, receiving second information comprising a first threshold number of vehicle occupants and/or a first threshold vehicle occupant weight limit, determining that the first threshold number of vehicle occupants or the first threshold vehicle occupant weight limit are exceeded, and sending an indication that the first node has not accepted the service request.

System and method for determining a stop point
11568744 · 2023-01-31 · ·

Provided herein is a system and method for a vehicle system on a vehicle. The system comprises a server comprising sensor data of stop points, one or more processors, and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform: determining, from the stop points, one or more available stop points; selecting, from the one or more available stop points, a stop point based on a criteria; and stopping the vehicle at the selected stop point.

Communications for autonomous vehicles

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method of facilitating communications from an autonomous vehicle to a user. For instance, a method may include, while attempting to pick up the user and prior to the user entering an vehicle, inputting a current location of the vehicle and map information into a model in order to identify a type of communication action for communicating a location of the vehicle to the user; enabling a first communication based on the type of the communication action; determining whether the user has responded to the first communication from received sensor data; and enabling a second communication based on the determination of whether the user has responded to the communication.

Paving machine engine idle time reduction
11566574 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A system and method includes a paving machine, a vehicle, and one or more controllers. The paving machine includes an engine for powering the paving machine and the vehicle is associated with the paving machine. The one or more controllers are configured to determine an estimated time of arrival for the vehicle at the paving machine based on a location of the vehicle; identify a startup time for the paving machine, wherein the startup time comprises a time period between starting the engine of the paving machine and an operational parameter of the paving machine reaching a threshold value; and generate an indication to shut down the engine of the paving machine if the startup time for the paving machine is less than the estimated time of arrival of the vehicle associated with the paving machine.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR CONTAINERIZED AND NON-CONTAINERIZED FREIGHT THROUGH INTERMODAL NETWORKS
20230237424 · 2023-07-27 ·

A freight distribution center intralogistics system configured to increase the productivity of freight unit movements at and through the distribution center. The system generates a layout for stacking of a plurality of freight units, wherein each freight unit is assigned a queue position defining their position in a container stack. The queue position is a function of pickup or drop-off times of the associated freight, wherein those times are determined through the algorithmic evaluation of at least driver-input and facility-input queue parameters. The layout may also provide indicators of the individual queue parameters that are input and computed by the system.

VEHICLE WITH EMERGENCY REPORTING FUNCTION, AND SERVER
20230025199 · 2023-01-26 ·

A vehicle with an emergency reporting function includes a vehicle communicator, an emergency reporting switch, a user interface, and a processor. The vehicle communicator transmits an emergency report about an emergency involving the vehicle to a server to make a request for an emergency response. The processor generates an emergency report and causes the vehicle communicator to transmit the emergency report if the vehicle is involved in an emergency. If the emergency reporting switch is manually operated by an occupant of the vehicle upon occurrence of the emergency, the processor presents emergency category items to allow the occupant to select a category item among the emergency category items on the user interface, generates the emergency report based on a manual operation about the category item selected by the occupant, and causes the vehicle communicator to transmit the emergency report based on the manual operation.

DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH MACHINE LEARNING ENGINE TO PROVIDE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE FUNCTIONS

Systems, methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for receiving requests for roadside assistance, generating user interfaces and using machine learning to generate roadside assistance instructions are provided. In some examples, a request for roadside assistance may be received. A user and one or more partners may be identified based on the request. In some examples, a profile associated with the user, partner or the like may be identified. A user interface may be generated based on the profile and may include features unique to the profile, partner, or the like. In some arrangements, the interface may include a first portion and a second portion. Selection of an option from the first portion may cause the system to identify data for display in the second portion and cause the data to be displayed in the second portion. Machine learning may be used to determine or identify one or more roadside assistance instructions and a roadside assistance instruction may be generated and executed.

ROUTE DETERMINATION DEVICE AND VEHICLE DISPATCH SYSTEM

A server includes a communication device and a processor. From a user terminal, the communication device acquires a vehicle dispatch request including information indicating a vehicle dispatch location and a destination of a vehicle. When the communication device acquires the vehicle dispatch request, the processor determines a traveling route of the vehicle from a current location of the vehicle to the destination via the vehicle dispatch location in accordance with the vehicle dispatch request. The processor determines a route from the current location to the vehicle dispatch location such that an amount of power storage in a power storage device at the vehicle dispatch location is larger than an amount of electric power with which the vehicle can travel from the vehicle dispatch location to the destination.
