A system for rendering local aircraft traffic by defining boundaries of risk receives current aircraft locations for a plurality of aircraft, including altitudes, and determines multiple boundaries of risk for each aircraft. The multiple boundaries of risk are then consolidated according to risk level where such boundaries of multiple aircraft overlap or nearly overlap. Areas of risk are outlined according to common risk levels of multiple aircraft and the original diamond icons are unrendered. Ranges to the nearest aircraft in each direction are identified, and indicators of such direction and range to the nearest aircraft are rendered around the aircraft.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless network may receive a message from a wireless device that is coupled with an aerial vehicle. The message may include a network identifier, an aerial identifier, and operational information for the aerial vehicle. The wireless network may send a message to an aerial function management system requesting that the aerial function management system authenticate an identity of the aerial vehicle. The wireless network may also request that the aerial function management system approve a flight path for the aerial vehicle. The wireless network may establish a data session with the wireless device based on an authentication of the aerial vehicle and an approval of the flight path.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ALERTING WHEN AN INTRUDER TREND VECTOR IS PREDICTED TO INTERCEPT WITH AN AIRCRAFT TAXI PATH

A system and method for alerting when a trend vector associated with a traffic aircraft is predicted to intercept a travel route of an ownship aircraft. A control module receives real-time aircraft state data, flight plan data, and traffic data associated with the traffic aircraft. The control module processes these data and constructs the travel route of the ownship aircraft from the current location to the intended destination The control module generates the trend vector associated with the traffic aircraft, predicts a location of an intersection of the trend vector and the travel route, determines an amount of time it will take for the ownship aircraft to reach the location of the intersection, and generates display commands that cause the display device to generate an alert that visually distinguishes the location on the image based at least in part on the amount of time.

PREAMBLE MANAGEMENT FOR UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES

A base station allocates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) preambles for use by UAV user equipment (UE) devices that are different from terrestrial preambles allocated for terrestrial UE devices. The UAV preambles can be allocated to different subscription levels, such that each UAV UE device can only use UAV preambles associated with the UAV UE device's subscription level. The UAV UE device transmits random access request message using the selected UAV preamble and the base station responds with a random access response message indicating whether access is granted to the UAV UE device. The base station can dynamically manage access to the base station by limiting the subscription levels that are associated with the UAV preambles.

System and method for database augmented ground collision avoidance

A ground collision avoidance method in an ownship vehicle is disclosed. The method includes: retrieving position measurements for the ownship vehicle and for a dynamic obstacle; retrieving mapping data from an airport map database that includes coordinate data for airport travel pathways; adjusting a position measurement for the ownship vehicle and a position measurement for the dynamic obstacle based on coordinate data retrieved from the airport map database and historical aircraft movement data; predicting a series of future positions for the ownship vehicle that are constrained by airport surface operation rules; predicting a series of future positions for the dynamic obstacle that are constrained by airport surface operation rules; calculating whether a potential collision is imminent; and causing a collision alert to be displayed when the processor has determined that a potential collision between the ownship vehicle and the dynamic obstacle is imminent.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURE DELIVERY OF A MEDICATION PACKAGE
20230032246 · 2023-02-02 ·

A method for controlling secure delivery of a medication package includes receiving a medication delivery request to deliver a medication package to a first delivery location. The method also includes identifying one or more authenticated delivery locations corresponding to a recipient and determining whether the one or more authenticated delivery locations includes the first delivery location and, in response to a determination that the one or more authenticated delivery locations includes the first delivery location, instructing an unmanned aerial vehicle to transport the medication package from a starting location to the first delivery location. The method also includes, in response to the unmanned aerial vehicle communicating authentication data, determining whether the authentication data corresponds to the recipient. The method also includes, in response to a determination that the authentication data corresponds to the recipient, instructing the unmanned aerial vehicle to release the medication package to the recipient.

Using a cellular interface for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle communications

A method for managing connections between an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and one or more associated UAV devices is described. The method includes determining, by a radio control management service, that one or more associated UAV devices are attached to a wireless network; determining, by the radio control management service, that one or more UAVs are attached to the wireless network; and routing, by the radio control management service in response to determining that the one or more associated UAV devices and one or more UAVs are attached to the network, at least one of (1) communications from at least one of the one or more UAVs to at least one of the one or more associated UAV devices and (2) communications from at least one of the one or more associated UAV devices to at least one of the one or more UAVs.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRESENTING MESSAGES TO FLIGHT CREW
