In-Cinema And/Or Online Edutainment System

A computerized educational and entertainment system for one or more users comprising several modules, including a film module and an educational game module, wherein audio-video content of the film module is interrupted by one or more active modes at one or more set times to provide interactive teaching of subject matter.

COGNITIVE COLLABORATING LEARNING USER EXPERIENCE INTERFACE

Disclosed embodiments provide a virtual learning environment by generating one or more virtual students (VS) to interact with a real student (RS). A real student is a live student, while virtual students are computer-generated and exist in the virtual learning environment. The virtual students interact with the real student and/or other virtual students, in order to facilitate a collaborative learning environment.

APPARATUS FOR TREATING POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
20220327953 · 2022-10-13 ·

A method or system by which a clinician can effectively treat the intrusive symptoms of PTSD in fewer than five sessions. The method depends upon a brief elicitation of the trauma memory that makes the memory susceptible to modification. This is followed by the introduction of new or novel information about the remembered event. Because of the labialization induced by the brief exposure, the new information is incorporated into the structure of the memory and the association between the memory and the traumatic feelings are severed. When this is successfully completed, the client is asked to relate the trauma narrative as the clinician assesses it for autonomic responsivity, fluidity and level of detail. If the client shows no discomfort the clinician invites the client to create a new script that eliminates the experience of the trauma, to relive that version in imago, and then to practice the new scenario in the first person in imago.

SYSTEM FOR FACILITATING ONLINE LEARNING TO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS VIA VIDEO GROUP CALL ENVIRONMENT

A simulated non-lethal weapon comprises a cartridge that is fitted with an acoustic triggering mechanism. By detecting, capturing, and processing the sound of an electrical arc, the cartridge can activate a laser emitter. The laser emitter triggers a simulated laser “bullet” light and the laser light can be used to provide feedback about the shot placement for the simulated firearm in a laser-based simulation and training environment. In this fashion, more effective and efficient training with simulated non-lethal weapons can be conducted.

System and method for synthesizing and preserving consistent relative neighborhood position in multi-perspective multi-point tele-immersive environments

An e-learning system has a local classroom comprising a local student station and an instructor station, such that local students at the local student station and an instructor at the instructor station face each other directly along a first viewing line, a plurality of remote classrooms each having a student station, video cameras in each of the remote classrooms positioned and oriented to capture video images of subjects, video displays in the local classroom arranged along a line orthogonal to the first viewing line and all facing the local student station, in sets of at least two displays, arranged vertically one above another, each first set of at least two displays dedicated to one of the remote classrooms, a second plurality of video displays like the first, but facing the instructor, connection apparatus between classrooms, a server coordinating video feeds with displays.

Interest-attention feedback method for separating cognitive awareness into different left and right sensor displays
09805612 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A method for using an interest-attention feedback loop involving the determination of the interest of a person in a left sensor stimulation stream and a right sensor stimulation stream, and the adjustment of attention factors to balance that interest, with the intent to facilitate, or train, a person to intentionally suppress binocular fusion and operate within the dual experience, where the person is able to simultaneously render separate left and right mental displays. The dual experience allows the person new mental processing capabilities that can produce novel information synthesis, double the information input in man machine interfaces, and allow reaction to the cognitive awareness of two simultaneous world views. This includes facilitating awareness and interactions with two different computer screen interfaces simultaneously, reducing fatigue associated with optical screen switching, and encouraging the fusion of two different simultaneous experiences into an abstract information synthesis.

Auditory stimulus for auditory rehabilitation

Generally, a method performed by one or more processing devices includes generating a graphical user interface that when rendered on a display of the one or more processing devices renders a visual representation of an environment and a visual representation of an object in the environment; retrieving an auditory stimulus with one or more auditory attributes indicative of a location of a virtual target in the environment; receiving information specifying movement of the object in the environment; determining, based on the movement of the object, a proximity of the object to the virtual target; adjusting, based on the proximity, one or more values of the one or more auditory attributes of the auditory stimulus; and causing the one or more processing devices to play the auditory stimulus using the adjusted one or more values.

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR INTERACTIVE COGNITIVE RECOGNITION SPORTS TRAINING SYSTEM

According to methods for teaching high performance cognitive skills, a simulated sports action scenario is displayed on a screen to a user, and the user is queried to respond to the scenario. The user's response to the scenario is received. The user's response to the scenario is evaluated according to predetermine high performance cognitive skills criteria to determine a sports relevant score. The determined sports relevant score is then displayed to the user and a database is updated. A graphical user interface is provided to enable the foregoing.

System and method for synthesizing and preserving consistent relative neighborhood position in multi-perspective multi-point tele-immersive environments

An e-learning system has a local classroom with an instructor station and a microphone and a local student station with a microphone, a plurality of remote classrooms with an instructor display and a student station with a microphone, and planar displays and video cameras in each of the classrooms, the remote and local classrooms connected over a network, with a server monitoring feeds and enforcing exclusive states, with sets of video displays, each set dedicated to a remote classroom, arrayed along a line orthogonal to a line between the instructor station and the local student station, with one display in each set facing toward the instructor station, and one display in each set facing toward the local student station.
