International student delivery and engagement platform
A long-distance learning system includes an instruction studio and one or more remotely located classrooms for students. Each of the student's participation, academic performance, and use of digital resources for a class is evaluated in real time and assigned a color, so the instructor can easily assess each student's progress in the class when presented to the instructor in a display which is only for the instructor.
OCULAR SIMULATED CAMERA ASSISTED ROBOT FOR LIVE, VIRTUAL OR REMOTE EYE SURGERY TRAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A method for ocular simulated camera assisted robot training is provided. In some implementations, the method includes initializing, by a processor, a robotics assembly. The method further includes connecting, by the processor, to one or more computing devices. The method further includes operating, by the processor, the robotics assembly. The method further includes simulating, by the processor, an eye movement of a human or animal. The method further includes operating, by the processor, a laser to perform a determined exercise on an eye of the robotics assembly. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
System and method for synthesizing and preserving consistent relative neighborhood position in multi-perspective multi-point tele-immersive environments
An e-learning system has a local classroom comprising a local student station and an instructor station, such that local students at the local student station and an instructor at the instructor station face each other directly along a first viewing line, a plurality of remote classrooms each having a student station, video cameras in each of the remote classrooms positioned and oriented to capture video images of subjects, video displays in the local classroom arranged along a line orthogonal to the first viewing line and all facing the local student station, in sets of at least two displays, arranged vertically one above another, each first set of at least two displays dedicated to one of the remote classrooms, a second plurality of video displays like the first, but facing the instructor, connection apparatus between classrooms, a server coordinating video feeds with displays.

SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING VISUAL AND/OR AUDITORY TRACKING OF A PRESENTATION GIVEN BY A PRESENTER
A system, device, and method to improve visual and/or auditory tracking of a presentation given by a presenter, the system having a first electronic device integrating a first piece of software for obtaining information run in the device; a second electronic device integrating a second piece of software; a microphone for obtaining auditory information of the presentation; a compact module comprising a single-board computer, a router, a power supply, a fixed camera for acquiring information of the presentation shown in a support, and a moving camera for acquiring information of the presenter's position; tracking device for obtaining presenter tracking information based on the information of the position. The second piece of software is adapted for showing the information run in the first electronic device, the auditory information of the presentation, the information shown through the support, and the presenter tracking information.
EDUCATIONAL APPARATUS
An educational apparatus has a controller linked with student devices, and a teacher device. Each student device is in the form of a desk with a board, a touch sensor array in the board, a display physically separate from the array, and permanent indicia. The apparatus recognises touch by a student on the board, and this is mapped to content of an overlay sheet of paper placed on the board. Moreover, multiple devices may be juxtaposed, and events may be recognised based on all of the group of devices together. An example is a paper sheet covering four devices together and having a map printed on it, in which the software recognised a particular location of touch on a particular device as being a specific region on the map.

WIRELESS ON-SITE TEACHING SYSTEM
Disclosed is a wireless on-site teaching system, comprising a video-capture device and at least one display terminal device. The video-capture device comprises a Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) sensor, a signal processor, a buffer, and a wireless Access Point (AP) module. The CMOS sensor is configured to convert a collected optical signal to a parallel video digital signal. The signal processor is configured to convert the parallel video digital signal to a serial video digital signal. The buffer is configured to cache the serial video digital signal. The wireless AP module is configured to send the serial video digital signal out wirelessly. The display terminal device comprises a wireless receiving module and a display module. In the present invention, a video-capture device can be simultaneously connected to multiple display terminal devices, and is free of limitation; the display terminal device can directly display video data, improving learning effects.

A connected classroom system provides for local and remote control and display of media streams. An instructor may, for instance, direct audio/video streams of the instructor to any number of displays and speakers located within a classroom. The system may send and receive control instructions to and from remote classrooms as well, through a network interface. The control instructions may configure any set of presentation devices in any classroom to reproduce any content originating from any source within any classroom. Accordingly, multiple classrooms located in disparate locations may participate in media exchanges arising from any source, including instructors and individual student seating locations within the classrooms.
