SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEVELOPING SENSE OF RHYTHM
The present invention provides a system for developing sense of rhythm. The system includes an interactive surface embedded with an RF antenna, a host, a memory unit, and a media player, an array of contact points on the interactive surface, a display device configured to export the comparison of the tempo and the beat input by a player with the preset tempo and the preset beat, and multiple physical sheets. The function of each contact point is determined or changed by the host in accordance with preset programs. Each physical sheet is embedded with an RFID tag and marked with a musical instrument and corresponding functional components, and the location of the functional components corresponds to the contact points in accordance with the preset programs. Once a physical sheet is placed on the interactive surface, the host is configured to assign a timbre of a musical instrument and the corresponding playing rules to the array of contact points in accordance with the preset programs and the RFID tag embedded in the physical sheet. The visible feedback would help players make corrections more efficiently.
System and method for facilitating learning of a musical instrument
Systems and methods facilitate a user's learning to play a musical piece on a musical instrument and involve dividing a musical piece into a number of musical piece segments. The systems and methods display or cause display of a particular segment of the musical piece. A suggested playing position is displayed adjacent to each musical note in a textual representation. Each of the displayed musical notes in the textual representation aims to indicate to the user the pitch or key of a particular musical note to be played. The suggested playing position for each musical note in turn aims to indicate the fingering position for placement on a musical instrument for playing the musical note.
Systems and methods for providing biometric related to performance of a physical movement
A biometric feedback system for providing biometric feedback to a subject while the subject performs a controlled physical movement includes an applied-force-recording interface and at least one controller electrically coupled to the applied-force-recording interface. The at least one controller receives applied force from the subject during the controlled physical movement and the applied-force-recording interface records data related to the applied force. The biometric feedback system also includes a dynamic surface electromyograph (sEMG) device that detects muscle tension along at least one muscle group of the subject while the subject performs the controlled physical movement and records data related to the muscle tension. A hub receives and processes data from the applied-force-recording interface and the dynamic sEMG device. A visual display displays the processed data from the hub.
Hands-free music notation display system
A hands-free music notation display system for playing digital sheet music. The system includes a tablet that displays digital sheet music and houses the system's operating components therein. The housing within the tablet includes a communication link connecting the tablet to one or more foot controls. The foot controls provide the ability for a user to display the next or previous page on the tablet with his or her foot, thereby permitting the user to remain hands-free to play an instrument. The tablet includes a plurality of buttons that permit a user to load and play sheet music thereon.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LEARNING TO PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A method and system for teaching oneself to learn to play a string instrument and master it by analyzing one's real-time hand/finger movement/technique/form, enabling oneself to progress and correct one's own mistakes simultaneously. In one aspect, a system for learning to play a string instrument is provided that includes a simulation instrument that includes a plurality of strings, wherein at least one of the strings includes at least one-touch sensing sensor thereon in communication with at least one processor to receive a signal from the at least one touch-sensing sensor and determine therefrom when and where on the at least one string a user applies pressure to the at least one string.
Method of presenting a piece of music to a user of an electronic device
A method of presenting music to a user of an electronic device comprises the step of providing score data representing the musical score of the piece of music in a graphical representation, audio data representing a recording of the piece of music, and music data representing one or more parts of parts of the piece of music in a digital format such as MIDI or MusicXML. The music data representing a part of the music that has been selected by the user is transformed into part sound signals using a sound generator. The part sound signals and audio sound signals are merged so as to obtain a merged sound signal in which the piece of music as represented by the music data file and by the audio data file are synchronized. Finally, and simultaneously, the sound of the piece of music using the merged sound signal is played audibly, the musical score is displayed on a display, and a sub-portion of the musical score corresponding to a passage of the piece of music which is presently audible is highlighted on the display.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENHANCED LEARNING EXPERIENCE WHEN PLAYING MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
A musical instrument accessory for enhancing musical practice and performance is disclosed. The accessory includes a tripod-compatible computing device holder, sized to accommodate and detachably secure the computing device, a first monitor framed within a first protective housing, the first protective housing being pivotally connected to the tripod-compatible computing device holder via a first connector thereby allowing adjustable positioning of the first monitor, and a second monitor framed within a second protective housing, the second protective housing being pivotally connected to the tripod-compatible computing device holder via a second connector thereby allowing adjustable positioning of the second monitor; wherein the first and the second protective housings are connected to opposing sides of the tripod-compatible computing device holder.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING LYRICS AND CHORDS FOR USER INTERFACES
A system is configurable to generate a set of lyric labels by processing audio content using a first machine learning model, wherein each lyric label of the set of lyric labels is associated with a respective lyric label timestamp; generate a set of chord labels by processing the audio content using a second machine learning model, wherein each chord label of the set of chord labels is associated with a respective chord label timestamp; determine a matching lyric label from the set of lyric labels for at least one chord label of the set of chord labels based on temporal similarity of the respective chord label timestamp of the at least one chord label to the respective lyric label timestamp of the matching lyric label; and generate a display comprising lyric content and chord content that visually correlate the matching lyric label with the at least one chord label.
Method for Generating and Displaying Proportional, Textless Musical Instrument Layouts for Educational Purposes
The present invention provides a computer-implemented method for creating a musical educational aid. The method includes selecting a physical musical instrument and accessing a set of dimensions associated with the selected musical instrument. Based on these dimensions, a textless and proportionally accurate representation layout of the selected musical instrument is generated. The method further includes selecting at least one musical scale or chord and placing a subset of musical note labels on the generated layout. These labels correspond to positions for finger placement for each of the notes in the selected musical scale or chord. This invention facilitates the visual learning of musical instruments by providing clear and precise visual representations without the need for textual explanations.
