System and method of teaching music
A set of teaching methods and system for implementing such teaching methods is disclosed for helping a music student learn how become more familiar with a keyboard and music in general. A set of drills and exercises are presented which will increase a student's musical ability far faster than can be achieved by traditional teaching methods. In addition, a set of humorous characters Moreover, a system is presented which will allow implementation of these exercises.
Musical performance assistance apparatus and method
Musical score acquisition section acquires musical score information representing a musical score of a music piece to be practiced by a user. Target portion setting section sets a plurality of portions of the music piece as target portions for training, respectively. Target musical score acquisition section acquires target musical score information indicative of partial musical scores of the respective target portions for training set by the target portion setting section. Display control section controls, on the basis of the target musical score information acquired by the target musical score acquisition section, a display device to display two or more of target musical scores in a side-by-side arrangement. Thus, a user can easily grasp the plurality of target portions for training.
Virtual tutorials for musical instruments with finger tracking in augmented reality
Systems, devices, media, and methods are described for presenting a tutorial in augmented reality on the display of a smart eyewear device. The system includes a marker registration utility for setting a marker on a musical instrument, a localization utility, a virtual object rendering utility for presenting virtual tutorial objects on the display near the instrument, and a hand tracking utility for tracking the performer's finger locations in real time. The virtual tutorial objects, in one example, includes graphical elements presented on a virtual scroll that appears to move toward the instrument at a speed correlated with the song tempo. The hand tracking utility calculates a set of expected fingertip coordinates based on a detected hand shape.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT PRACTICE SYSTEM, PLAYING PRACTICE IMPLEMENTATION DEVICE, CONTENT REPRODUCTION SYSTEM, AND CONTENT REPRODUCTION DEVICE
A content reproduction system includes a content reproduction device that reproduces a content in a movable room, an input device that accepts operation by a user responsive to the content, and a sensor that detects a disturbance acting to disturb the operation. The content reproduction device provides assistance to the user in response to a result of the detection by the sensor during reproduction of the content while associating the assistance with the operation accepted by the input device.
System and method for developing sense of rhythm
The present invention provides a system for developing sense of rhythm. The system includes an interactive surface embedded with an RF antenna, a host, a memory unit, and a media player, an array of contact points on the interactive surface, a display device configured to export the comparison of the tempo and the beat input by a player with the preset tempo and the preset beat, and multiple physical sheets. The function of each contact point is determined or changed by the host in accordance with preset programs. Each physical sheet is embedded with an RFID tag and marked with a musical instrument and corresponding functional components, and the location of the functional components corresponds to the contact points in accordance with the preset programs. Once a physical sheet is placed on the interactive surface, the host is configured to assign a timbre of a musical instrument and the corresponding playing rules to the array of contact points in accordance with the preset programs and the RFID tag embedded in the physical sheet. The visible feedback would help players make corrections more efficiently.
Musical notation, system, and methods
In one aspect, provided herein is a device for notating a musical composition. The device, in various implementations, is structured so as to be less laborious to notate, easier to read, and more simple to employ in notating, reading, and/or playing the music of a given composition to be composed and/or played. Accordingly, in its most basic form, the device herein disclosed includes a template, upon which template one or more symbols may be notated, where such notation is configured in a manner that more closely relates the note to be played with the mechanical action needed to be performed so as to play that note, such as on an instrument to be or being played.
System and method for pitch correction
The present invention provides a system for pitch correction. The interactive surface is embedded with a host, an antenna, a memory unit, a voice input device, an audio recognition device, and a media player. The function of each light-emitting contact point is determined or changed by the host in accordance with preset programs. Each physical sheet is embedded with an RFID tag and is printed with a set of pitch marks with increasing difficulty levels, and the location of a functioning area on a physical sheet for the light-emitting contact points is determined in accordance with the preset programs, and the light-emitting contact points correspond to the location of the functioning area. Once a physical sheet is placed on the interactive surface, the host assigns preset flashing rules to the array of light-emitting contact points in accordance with the preset programs as well as the RFID tag embedded in the physical sheet, and generates a preset flashing pattern on the physical sheet, and activates touch functions of the corresponding light-emitting contact points. The visible feedback provides users a straightforward understanding how much their voices deviate from the reference pitches.
Computer implemented method for providing feedback of harmonic content relating to music track
A computer implemented method for providing feedback of harmonic content relating to a music track, includes receiving music track information; generating harmonic music track parameters based on the received music track information; displaying notation information for a user for performing the music track at a given time for the music track based on the harmonic music track parameters; receiving harmonic user content generated by an instrument performed by the user, using at least one capturing device; generating real-time performance feedback for the user based on comparison of the harmonic user content and the harmonic music track parameters according to predefined settings; receiving reference harmonic user content from a plurality of reference users over a public network; adjusting, based on the reference harmonic user content, at least one of the following: the predefined settings; and the harmonic music track parameters.
MUSIC THEORY EDUCATIONAL TOY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A method for teaching music theory is provided. The method includes providing a set of blocks, each block of the set associated with a musical note. The arranging of the blocks in an allowed sequence forms a musical composition, where each of the blocks are keyed so as to only allow combinations that produce actual chords. A system for teaching music theory is also provided. The system includes a set of blocks, each block of the set associated with a musical note, where each of the blocks are keyed so as to only allow combinations that produce actual chords. The system further includes a base unit for placement of the set of blocks, where the base unit provides audio via a speaker and visual information on a display based on the arrangement of the set of blocks placed in a slot of the base unit.
