SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING AIRCRAFT TRAINING PROGRAMS ADAPTED TO USER CHARACTERISTICS

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating programs for aircraft training. For example, a method may include: determining a first type of aircraft for which a user is to be trained; determining, based on profile data of the user, one or more other types of aircraft on which the user has been trained; selecting, from a plurality of training modules, a training module including content providing training on a difference between the first type of aircraft and one of the one or more other types of aircraft or training on a topic on which a training module is unavailable for each one of the one or more other types of aircraft; generating a training program including the selected training module; and presenting the training program to the user.

Training system and simulation method for ground travel in aircraft equipped with non-engine drive means

A training system and method for operating aircraft equipped with non-engine drive means during independent ground travel is provided. The system and method of the present invention is designed specifically to train pilots, ground personnel, and air traffic control to move an aircraft safely and efficiently on the ground during taxi and pushback using the aircraft's non-engine drive means to propel the aircraft independently during ground travel. Simulations and procedures for training pilots and ramp personnel in the conduct of pushback operations and forward taxi with an aircraft equipped with non-engine drive means are also provided.

Pilot assessment system

A method and apparatus for assessing performance in operating an aircraft. Information for assessing a performance of a group of operations performed by a number of crew members of the aircraft is displayed on a display system during operation of the aircraft by the number of crew members for which the group of operations is assessed. User input assessing the performance of the group of operations by the number of crew members is received through an input system. The user input is stored. A report on the performance of the group of operations performed by the number of crew members using the user input is generated.

A method and apparatus for training a user of an aircraft. Simulated controls for the aircraft are provided. A training scenario defines actions to be performed by the user with the simulated controls. An action indicator associated with at least one of the simulated controls is displayed based on the training scenario. Actions by the user with the simulated controls are detected. Operation of the aircraft is simulated based on the detected actions by the user with the simulated controls.

There are provided a portable terminal 10 to be brought into an airplane for use, an ADS-B receiver 20 for receiving an ADS-B signal of the airplane, and a headset 30 to be used for a communication between an airplane and an air traffic control tower and a conversation in the airplane, and flight information of an own airplane which is detected by a sensor provided in the portable terminal 10, flight information of another airplane which is to be indicated by the ADS-B signal received by the ADS-B receiver 20 and a conversation voice to be input/output to/from the headset 30 are mutually synchronized and are recorded on the portable terminal 10. In addition to information to be collected in the airplane (the flight information of the own airplane and the conversation voice to be exchanged in the airplane), consequently, all of the flight information of another airplane flying around the own airplane and the conversation voice to be exchanged by a communication between the airplane and the air traffic control tower are recorded in a synchronization form. Thus, various situations in a training flight can be reproduced as accurately as possible after the flight.

Systems and methods for gimbal simulation

Systems, devices and methods are provided for training a user to control a gimbal in an environment. The systems and methods provide a simulation environment to control a gimbal in a virtual environment. The virtual environment closely resembles a real control environment. A controller may be used to transmit simulation commands and receive simulated data for visual display.

Electronic device and method for debriefing evidence-based training sessions

An electronic device for collecting evidence during training sessions. The electronic device comprises a communications module for acquiring real-time training session data during a training session; a real-time data acquisition module for generating time-stamped training session data; an input unit for acquiring instructor rating data input by an instructor during the training session; a real-time instructor rating module for generating time-stamped instructor rating data; a storing module for storing real-time data of the training session in a data repository, including the time-stamped training session data and the time-stamped instructor rating data; a debriefing module for retrieving real-time data of a training session from the data repository, replay the real-time data on a display, and update the instructor rating data in the data repository with updated instructor rating data received from an instructor during the replay.

Motor Vehicle Operating Data Collection and Analysis

A method, apparatus, and system for collecting and evaluating powered vehicle operation utilizing on-board diagnostic components and location determining components or systems. The invention creates one or more databases whereby identifiable behavior or evaluative characteristics can be analyzed or categorized. The evaluation can include predicting likely future events. The database can be correlated or evaluated with other databases for a wide variety of uses.

Simulator with multiple reconfigurable three-dimensional cockpit views rendered in real-time

A simulator is disclosed. A cockpit model comprising a plurality of cockpit model parts that collectively correspond to a simulated cockpit in a simulated vehicle is maintained. For each frame of a plurality of frames, a plurality of cockpit view frustums are determined, each cockpit view frustum corresponding to a different cockpit view of a plurality of cockpit views of the simulated cockpit. Shared cockpit scene information comprising a set of cockpit model parts that are within any of the plurality of cockpit views is generated based on the plurality of cockpit view frustums. A processing device submits to a graphics processing unit (GPU) the shared cockpit scene information and GPU instructions that direct the GPU to generate a plurality of cockpit view images that correspond to the plurality of cockpit views from the shared cockpit scene information. The GPU generates the plurality of cockpit view images.
