Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media are disclosed for altering default website display parameters to conform with a neurodevelopmental disorder, epilepsy, visual impairment, and/or cognitive disability profile. In one implementation, a non-transitory computer readable medium contains instructions that cause a processor to alternate default website display parameters to conform with a disability profile by: obtaining an indication that a user of a website has a disability; and based on the obtained indication, implementing a predefined template to alter multiple website default display parameters to conform with needs of the user with the disability; wherein implementing the predefined template is configured to impact presentation of content on a computing device of the user with the disability without impacting presentation of content on other computing devices display to other simultaneous viewers of the website.

Self-centering user interface for inputting information

Techniques described herein are directed to, among other things, utilizing a self-centering user interface to receive information associated with a transaction. For instance, a computing device may receive a first input at a first location of a display. The computing device may then determine a positioning for the user interface, where the user interface may be substantially centered about the first location. In some instances, the computing device may display the user interface using the positioning. The computing device may then receive a second input corresponding to swipe from the first location of the display to a second location of the display. The computing device may then determine a symbol included in the user interface based at least in part on the second input. In some instances, the user interface includes a keypad for entering a personal identification number associated with a payment instrument.

Ultrasonic sound guide system for the visually impaired

The ultrasonic sound guide system presents the audio broadcasting system based on the inaudible ultrasonic sound to assist the indoor and outdoor navigation of the visually impaired. The transmitters are placed at the point of interest to propagate the frequency modulated voice signal in ultrasonic sound range. The receiver device is carried by the visually impaired in wearable device form to receive the ultrasonic sound for the voice signal via demodulation. Since the ultrasonic sound demonstrates the acoustic properties, the directivity, attenuation, and superposition of ultrasonic sound provide the acoustic clue to the receiver device user for localizing the transmitter positions. The visually impaired hear the designated voice signal and follow the signal strength to arrive at the specific location. The ultrasonic sound guide system is useful device to localize the place in near field without touching the braille. The receiver device can be any independent form such as eyeglasses, neckband, walking cane attachment device, hand-held device, etc. those are not blocking the ear canal. Also, the receiver device can be realized by smartphone application software using the hardware and sensors in the smartphone.

The apparatus comprises a wireless communication device which is to be carried by the person and has a GPS receiver, a blind guiding device with an acoustic source, a position memory, a second GPS receiver and a comparator for comparison of the position data of the GPS receivers. The communication device continuously sends attention information and, upon receipt of the attention information, the blind guiding device switches on pedestrian orientation signals, an optical release signal and acoustic release signals and/or changes their volume.

When it is determined that a presence of a traffic light is not recognized in an image acquired by a first image acquisition operation by a camera, the presence of the traffic light is recognized in an image acquired by a second image acquisition operation in which a recognition accuracy of the presence of the traffic light is improved. In this second image acquisition operation, it is assumed that a pedestrian is stopped in front of a pedestrian crossing, and there is little demand for increasing a detection speed of objects such as moving objects present in a surrounding area. Thus, it is possible to sufficiently obtain the recognition accuracy of the traffic light by the second image acquisition operation that gives priority to the recognition accuracy of the presence of the traffic light.

A VOTING APPARATUS

A voting apparatus for receiving a ballot paper comprises a voting aid for overlying the ballot paper, the voting aid comprising a respective ballot marking aid for each voting option of the ballot paper. The apparatus includes an audio system and an activation button for voting option. The audio system audibly renders the relevant ballot information in response to operation of any one of the buttons.

System and Method of Managing a Lottery Service for Visually-Impaired Users

A system and a method of managing a lottery service for visually-impaired users allow users to read a lottery ticket with a plurality of braille-inscribed ticket numbers. The system includes a PC device, at least one remote server, at least one physical lottery ticket, and at least one external server. The method begins by scanning the braille-inscribed ticket numbers off the physical lottery ticket with the PC device. The braille-inscribed numbers are converted into a plurality of digital ticket numbers with the PC device. The digital ticket numbers are relayed from the PC device to the remote server. A plurality of winning numbers is then received for the lottery service from the external server with the remote server. If the digital ticket numbers match the plurality of winning numbers, a lottery winning notification is generated with the remote server and is then outputted with the PC device.

A system that detects whether a user interacting with a featured activity is wearing glasses is described. The system verifies that the user is wearing the glasses and the system prompts the user and a caregiver and may blur, stop or otherwise interrupt a user experience of a featured activity, such as a video game or film, when the system determined that the user is not wearing the glasses. A glasses module may be positioned at frame of the glasses at a head of the user to detect that the user is wearing the glasses. Optical facial processing may detect a face and glasses on the face. Also disclosed is a hearing aid that may be integrated with such a system. A glasses module that aids in depth perception by reporting distance ahead, and a system that trains eye contact with another person wearing glasses are also disclosed.
