Provided is a cooking apparatus in which a heating plate, a frame, and a pocket part are independently provided and which has a structure that is capable of securing use convenience and safety by a coupled structure of the heating plate, the frame, and the pocket part.

Disclosed herein in the accompanying description and drawings is a cooking apparatus having a cooking heat source; a grill grate having a grill grate surface, the grill grate surface defining a plane of the grill grate surface, the grill grate being positioned over the cooking heat source; a griddle plate, the griddle plate being moveable between a cooking position and a stowed position, the griddle plate being positioned over the grill grate in the cooking position, and a majority of the griddle plate being lower than the plane of the grill grate surface in the stowed position; and a lift mechanism connected to the griddle plate, such that the lift mechanism supports at least a portion of the weight of the griddle plate between the cooking position and the stowed position.

A combination type cooker may include a top plate with a surface, a case that is configured to define a space shielded by the top plate, a gas burner that is provided inside the case, and in which a heat plate is heated by combustion of a fuel gas, an induction burner that is provided inside the case, and that is configured to heat a cooking container by induction, and a barrier that is provided between the gas burner and the induction burner, and that is configured to partition an inside of the case into a first space where the gas burner housed, and a second space where the induction burner is housed.

A multi-leveled cooking apparatus is an apparatus that is used to prepare food. The apparatus includes an enclosure, a heat source, at least one convectively-heated cooking mechanism, a radiatively-heated cooking mechanism, a first duct, and a second duct. The enclosure is used as a structural base to mount the aforementioned components, and to maintain and regulate temperature fluctuations. The heat source sends hot air through the first duct and the second duct to heat the at least one convectively-heated cooking mechanism. The heat source is also in contact with the radiatively-heated cooking mechanism. A series of tubes within the enclosure provide adequate dispersal of combustible gaseous material, and an ignition starter allows the user to ignite the gas contained within the present invention. Removable grates are arranged at various heights within the enclosure, allowing customization of the size of the working space as well as improving accessibility for sanitization.

A griddle and a cooking appliance having a griddle is provided. The griddle may include a housing, a heating plate seated on a top of the housing, a burner provided inside the housing under the heating plate, and an exhaust vent forming a passage through which exhaust gas generated in the housing by the burner is discharged. The exhaust vent may be provided at a rear of the housing adjacent to a second end of the heating plate. The burner may be arranged such that a first end of the burner adjacent to a first end of the heating plate is positioned closer to the heating plate than a second end of the burner adjacent to the exhaust vent.

A griddle and a cooking appliance having a griddle are provided. The griddle may include a housing having an accommodation space formed therein and an open top, a heating plate formed to have a predetermined width and length and seated on a top of the housing, a burner provided in the housing to heat the heating plate, and a temperature sensor module provided in the housing to measure a temperature of the heating plate. The temperature sensor module may include a cover provided in the housing and having an accommodation space formed therein, and a temperature sensor provided in the housing with at least a portion thereof accommodated in the accommodation space of the cover to measure a temperature of an inside of the cover.

A cooktop appliance and methods of operation are provided herein. The cooktop appliance may include a panel comprising a top surface and a bottom surface, a first burner assembly, a second burner assembly, a first control valve, a second control valve, and a controller. The first burner assembly may include a first burner extending at least partially above the top surface of the panel. The second burner assembly may be spaced apart from the first burner assembly on the panel. The second burner assembly may include a second burner extending at least partially above the top surface of the panel. The first control valve may be in fluid communication with the first burner assembly to selectively direct a flow of gas thereto. The second control valve may be in fluid communication with the second burner assembly to selectively direct a flow of gas thereto.

A grill rack for use in combination with a portable heater is provided. The grill rack comprises a support frame having a first end and a second end. A rack assembly is disposed on the support frame. The rack assembly comprises a plurality of cross members and a plate member. A pair of legs are transversely arranged at the first end of the support frame. A pair of outwardly extending arms are connected to the legs. The outwardly extending arms of the grill rack can be fastened to an opening on the upper end of a portable heater so as to heat or warm food thereon.

A cooking grate for a grill is provided having substantially hollow rungs in fluid communication with each other and/or with a substantially hollow border to provide improved thermal management and more efficient heat transfer.

An outdoor grill assembly with a cooking grate therein. The cooking grate can be a one-piece structure but is preferably a two-piece structure wherein the upper piece comprises longitudinally extending food support ribs having hollow interiors. The ribs will be positioned over and cover open areas in the lower structure so that combustion gases flowing through the open areas of the lower structure will flow into the hollow interiors of the food support ribs.
