A training system includes a tool connected to a control module. The tool includes a tip and a grip having two or more force sensing transducers configured to enable determination of sensor force measurement data. The control module receives the sensor force measurement data. The control module includes a storage device configured to store zeroed force data, and a data processing unit including a processor and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to obtain the sensor force measurement data and the zeroed force data; determine, based upon the sensor force measurement data and the zeroed force data, a load force magnitude that is independent of grasp forces; determine whether the load force is within a set range; and, provide a corresponding indication where the load force is within the set range and/or where the load force is outside of the set range.
Oral Hygiene Systems and Methods
A method for promoting compliance with an oral hygiene regimen includes displaying, on a display device, a representation of at least a portion of a set of teeth of a user. The method also includes overlaying an indicium on the representation such that the indicium is associated with a first section of the representation. Responsive to a determination, via at least one of one or more processors, that a head of an oral hygiene device is positioned directly adjacent to a first section of the set of teeth that corresponds to the first section of the representation for at least a predetermined amount of time, the indicium is removed from the display device.

A plate to be used by being fixed to a stent to be mounted on a row of teeth of a patient includes a plurality of CT markers, a detachable part that is configured to connect a reference frame, provided with a plurality of infrared markers whose relative positional relationship with the respective CT markers when the reference frame is connected to the plate is known, and a recessed part that is configured to be used in measuring registration accuracy between position coordinates of the CT markers in a three-dimensional reconstructed CT image including the plate as an object and position coordinates of the CT markers in real space in which the plate exists, the position coordinates being calculated on the basis of the position coordinates of the infrared markers.

The system according to the invention comprises: a handpiece, to which an endodontic instrument can be connected that is intended to be inserted into a root canal, a measurement unit for measuring a magnitude related to the position of the endodontic instrument in the root canal and a computation and display unit for displaying a graph representing the evolution of the magnitude measured by the measurement unit during an endodontic treatment with the endodontic instrument. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: displaying, by means of a computation and display unit, a graph representing the evolution of a magnitude measured during a root canal treatment performed by the dentist, the magnitude being related to the position of an endodontic instrument in the root canal, and providing a reference graph representing a predetermined endodontic treatment technique to allow a comparison to be made between the graph representing the evolution of the measured magnitude and the reference graph.

A system for visual analysis of a virtual medical model, particularly for medical product development and/or for anatomical comparison by multiple users, comprises a means for providing a virtual medical model and a visualization means, for generating a view and/or a scene of the virtual medical model. The visualization means sends image data representing the generated view and/or scene to a display means. The view-manipulation means allows a user to manipulate a view of the virtual medical model, receives a user input, and translates the user input in vision change data of the virtual medical model or a sub-model thereof. A synchronization means receives and synchronizes the received vision change data and transmits synchronized vision change data to the visualization means. The view-manipulation means receives the synchronized vision change data and based on the received data updates the view and/or a scene of the virtual medical model.
