SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CLINICAL MODELS AND PROSTHESES
An example method for producing a prosthetic device for a patient includes obtaining imaging data corresponding to a body part of a patient, generating an object model corresponding to the body part based on the imaging data, generating a prosthesis model based on the object model, generating a set of instructions based on the prosthesis model, and executing the set of instructions using a three-dimensional printer, where the set of instructions, when executed by the three-dimensional printer, cause the three-dimensional printer to produce the prosthetic device for the patient.
UNIT-OF-MODULE MAPPING PHANTOM FOR MULTIPLE PURPOSES AND MULTIPLE FUSION IMAGES
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a medical phantom which is an object that models at least a part of the human body by using a plurality of unit blocks, wherein the plurality of unit blocks include: a first unit block having a hexahedral shape of which the inside is empty; and a second unit block having a shape, of which the inside is empty, different from the hexahedral shape, having a plurality of ridges formed at the upper end thereof for stud-and-tube coupling, and having a plurality of furrows formed at the lower end thereof and enabled to be coupled to the plurality of ridges. The medical phantom is determined according to a combination form of the first unit block and the second unit block, at least one hole is formed on the lateral surfaces of the first unit block and the second unit block and a medium can be injected through the at least one hole.
System and Method for Five Plus One Degree-of-Freedom (DOF) Motion Tracking and Visualization
A method for training an ultrasound user with a hand-held device having one or more first sensors to detect angular orientation of the device in one or more dimensions, and at least one two-dimensional surface device having one or more second sensors to detect translational position of the hand-held device in one or more directions, which communicates the angular orientation data from the hand-held device and the translational position data from the at least one surface device to a computer to display a virtual environment with a virtual hand-held device that moves in correlation with the hand-held device based on the angular orientation data from the hand-held device and the translational position data from the at least one surface device.
System and method for three-dimensional augmented reality guidance for use of equipment
Methods for providing real-time, three-dimensional (3D) augmented reality (AR) feedback guidance to a user of an equipment system to achieve improved diagnostic or treatment outcomes, including comparing sensed, real-time user positioning data and data received from the equipment system during use to reference positioning and procedure outcome data, and generating and providing to a user real-time position-based and outcome-based 3D AR feedback based on comparing the sensed and reference data.
Simulation systems and methods for ultrasound guided regional anesthesia
An embodiment includes a system comprising: an artery, a vein, and a nerve; a first length of tubing adjacent at least one of the vein, artery, and nerve; a second length of tubing to couple to the first length of tubing; and a pump comprising a number of actuators; wherein when the system when operating is configured such that (b)(i) the second length of tubing couples to at least one of the number of actuators, (b)(ii) ends of the first and second lengths of tubing are closed, (b)(iii) a second end of the first length of tubing is operatively coupled to a second end of the second length of tubing, (b)(v) the pump pulsates fluid within the first length of tubing in response to the number of actuators intermittently contacting the second length of tubing.
VIRTUAL NEONATAL ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC TRAINING SYSTEM
A neonatal echocardiography training apparatus including (i) a computer; (ii) a life-sized doll mannequin; (iii) a magnetic tracking system including (a) a control module connected to the computer; (b) a magnetic pulse wave generator positioned behind the mannequin and connected to the control module; (c) a sensor-fitted transducer configured to detect magnetic pulse waves from the generator and connected to the control module; and wherein the control module reads data from the generator and transducer and transmits the data to the computer. A method of displaying continuous video clips obtained from slicing of multiple 4D echocardiographic image volumes and 2D video clips activated from the coordinates of specific slices of 4D volumes is described. These echocardiographic images are displayed when a trainee positions the transducer on the desired cardiac acoustic window on the mannequin.
Surgical Simulator
A mannequin has a torso portion with a simulated vertebral column and anatomical aortic zones for the REBOA procedure. A fluid pressure source provides a fluid to the torso portion, and a fluid collection reservoir receives fluid from the torso portion. Conduits extend between the fluid pressure source and collection reservoir. Valves associated with the conduits and the fluid pressure source and collection reservoir may be positioned to simulate injuries in the first, second and third REBOA zones. A main conduit simulates the aorta. A simulated groin portion is configured to receive a REBOA catheter. The simulated groin portion has a conduit simulating the femoral artery.
ANATOMICAL ULTRASOUND ACCESS MODEL
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical procedures performed using ultrasound imaging for guidance. In particular, the systems and methods of the present disclosure include anatomical models simulating body organs that may be used to train clinicians, students or other medical professionals to access such organs with medical tools in performing interventional procedures using ultrasound guidance.
RESPIRATORY GATING PHANTOM DEVICE
A respiratory gating phantom device includes a first airbag, a second airbag, a first catheter, a second catheter, a fixture, and an air pressure gating device. The first catheter and the second catheter are respectively installed in the first airbag and the second airbag. The fixture is provided with a phantom tumor and adjustably installed in the first catheter or the second catheter, thereby installing the phantom tumor in the first catheter or the second catheter. The air pressure gating device, connected to the first airbag and the second airbag, inflates and deflates the first airbag and the second airbag to simulate breathing. The first catheter and the second catheter respectively move along three-dimensional direction and two-dimensional direction in response to motions of the first airbag and the second airbag.
SURGICAL TRAINING PHANTOM WITH SPECTROSCOPICALLY DISTINCT REGIONS
The present disclosure discloses anatomical phantoms having one or more distinct regions spectroscopically differentiated from each other by inclusion of spectroscopically active components each having a distinct fluorescence/emission/scattering spectrum. The distinct regions may represent different anatomical components of the corresponding real anatomical part and/or tumor mimics (or other diseased tissue) and different anatomical components of the corresponding real anatomical part, or just tumor mimics and a remainder of the anatomical part. The spectroscopically active materials may be dyes such as the cyanine dyes, or spectroscopically active nanoparticles.
