Devices and methods for providing commentary for multiple points of interests utilize audio communication devices having an optic code reader, a microcontroller, a transmitter/receiver, a storage module and a speaker and/or headphone jack. Two or more audio communication devices may be synced to the same channel. A primary audio communication device sends a signal that triggers a dependent audio communication device to play a prerecorded commentary regarding a selected point of interest in a language selected by a person using the dependent audio communication device. A map having icons representing points of interest includes optic codes embedded within the icons. When an audio communication device scans an icon with an optic reader, a triggering signal causes the audio communication device and any dependent audio communication devices to play a corresponding commentary and a language selected by a user.

Storage medium, map information processing apparatus, and data generation method

It is an object of the present invention to provide a technique by which a desired search can be performed even without any polygon data. An administrative district area is defined by collecting mesh areas in each of which a POI is located, for each administrative district, among mesh areas obtained by sectioning an area on a map, and an extended administrative district area is defined by extending the administrative district area. Then, the data storage stores therein data in which a name of an administrative district is associated with a POI within the extended administrative district area related to the administrative district, as search data.

Vehicle electronic device, control method and program

A vehicle electronic device includes a position information acquisition unit configured to acquire position information of a current position of a vehicle; a map information storage unit configured to store map information presenting a map for identifying an area corresponding to the current position of the vehicle on the map; and an area identification unit configured to identify the area corresponding to the current position of the vehicle based on the position information acquired by the position information acquisition unit and the map information stored in the map information storage unit. The map information is information for identifying a border of an area containing a country, a prefecture, a municipality, a state or a district. The border of the area is specified as a set of points representing the border.

DYNAMIC DISPLAY OF CONTENT CONSUMPTION BY GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
20190220473 · 2019-07-18 ·

This disclosure relates to a method for providing a display of content consumption by geographic location. The method includes storing, in a data store, geographic locations of a set of users consuming content items and consumption characteristics of the content items, wherein the content items are identified by user devices at the geographic locations while the content items are played by source devices external to the user devices, and wherein information about a content item of the identified content items, which is consumed by a user of the set of users, is transmitted to the server system by a user device of the user. The method also includes extracting, from the data store, geographic locations of consumption and a set of consumption characteristics of each content item of the identified content items, wherein the set of consumption characteristics comprises a title and times of consumption of the content item by the set of users. The method further includes filtering the identified content items based on at least one filter that pertains to times of content consumption by the set of users, ranking the filtered content items based on the geographic locations of consumptions and consumption statistics, selecting, from the ranked content items, popular content items at particular geographic locations of consumption and over a time period, and generating a geographic map displaying to a user each of the selected popular content items at one or more of the particular geographic locations of consumption, the map to display a title and an icon to represent each of the selected popular content items

METHOD FOR PEST CONTROL

The present invention relates to the technical field of controlling harmful organisms in the cultivation of cultivated plants. The present invention relates to a method for controlling harmful organisms, to a system for controlling harmful organisms and to the use of a digital application map for the application of one or more control agents against harmful organisms.

Embodiments of the present technology relate to data sanitization and normalization and geocoding methods that apply the same. An example method includes sanitizing geodata sets and normalizing the sanitized geodata using a normalized Levenshtein distance Algorithm.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for validating addresses
10311756 · 2019-06-04 · ·

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for validating addresses of a settlement are provided. An address validation model for a settlement is generated from an address numbering system inferred from observed addresses located in the settlement, based on the assumption that a most settlements use a regular addressing scheme. The address validation model has a first axis and a second axis having headings determined from are generated by determining known address points and headings to matched points. A mapping is determined between the coordinates of the first axis and the address points and between the coordinates of the second axis and the address points. The address validation model having the mapping is used to validate addresses for the settlement. Invalid addresses may be flagged for further review by an operator.

SHIP DOCKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE

A ship docking assistance device includes a position azimuth information acquisition unit; a LIDAR; a map generation updating unit; a high-point acquisition unit; and a position azimuth estimation unit. The LIDAR acquires point-group data three-dimensionally indicating the environment around a ship. The map generation updating unit generates a map around the ship based on the point-group data. The high-point acquisition unit acquires, from within the point-group data, a high point having a prescribed height or more. The position azimuth estimation unit estimates the position and the azimuth of the ship through matching between the position of the high point acquired by the high-point acquisition unit and the position of the high point in the map. The map generation updating unit updates the map by placing the point-group data in the map using, as references, the position and the azimuth of the ship estimated by the position azimuth estimation unit.

Interfaces for service requests in a balloon network
10305742 · 2019-05-28 · ·

Example embodiments may relate to web interfaces for a balloon-network. For example, a computing device may display a graphical interface that that includes one or more interface features to receive a request for use of bandwidth of a balloon network. In particular, the computing device may receive, via the graphical interface, input data corresponding to a bandwidth request for a first location, where the bandwidth request includes: (i) an indication of the first location and (ii) an indication of time. Subsequently, the computing device may receive an indication corresponding to whether or not the bandwidth request is accepted, where acceptance of the bandwidth request is based at least in part on expected movement of one or more balloons from a plurality of balloons in the balloon network. As such, the computing device may display, on the graphical interface, the indication corresponding to whether or not the bandwidth request is accepted.
